Does anyone know the actual times for the time of day setting? I would like to see the lighting of my course for each specific time and how it looks.

I'd guesstimate 6, 9, 12, 3, 6.
I wouldn't worry about how the course looks outside the default lighting. You'd drive yourself crazy trying to make it look good under every time setting. And would probably be doing yourself a disservice trying.

Select "My Unpublished Courses" and select the course you want, then fiddle with the time of day setting and playtest.

I'm mainly concerned about the dawn and dusk times for shadows.

I'm mainly concerned about the dawn and dusk times for shadows. That's exactly what I'm talking about. Local match --> My Unpublished Courses --> (Select the course you want) --> Change Course Conditions --> Time of Day. Select either dawn or dusk, Create Match, and then you can see what your course would look like in those conditions

I learned this by building a sundial behind the clubhouse on Dawkins Harbor and playing the course at each of the discreet time options
