Anyone tried to qualify for the US Open? I know there’s only a slim chance but last weeks course was good fun Nope, but I might have the time now because I think I'm done here. Second round was a shocker, couldn't hole a putt. No bogeys, 13 pars, -16 at the cut. I reckon 1 or maybe 2 short. These 163's seem to do me every week, not quite sure why. A bit gutted to be honest, I thought I could do well in this one. Chin up Jamie, I agree it's strange, i putt best on 187's and struggle on 163's or less. I think we are all much of a much-ness at this level before getting on the green and then it comes down to sinking putts. Round 1 - I had 26 Putts/ The Leader had 21. If i'd had 21 (which i should've of because my approaches were close enough) i would've been one behind him. It's a shame there isn't a stat for 'Distance to the pin after GIR'. That would show how we compare to one another in terms of approach play, because we can all hit the fairway.

Decided to make a comeback this week on a course I know very well from the CUCC Ryder Cup. Thankfully I played the first two rounds much better than I did the 40+ practice rounds. Played the front 9 fairly well with birds on 4 of the first 7. Ran through a set of holes where birdies dried up but the eagle on 18 really help the mojo going into round 2. Started off really slow on the front half but rallied on the back to get to -15 after 2 rounds. Likely another missed cut by 2-3 strokes as the norm so again I dangle on the cusp of CC relegation.

A lot of downer posts here.....unfortunately I'm adding to it. With a -7 first round, I knew I needed to go low in round 2. Got off to a great start with a -6 at the turn, and got to -8 thru 12 holes. Was feeling good then just puked all over myself with two bogey's and some missed putts. Finished the round at -8, -15 overall, missed cut. Hopefully just one step back. I just got the Waverunner back online and ready for the weekend so I'll take my anger out on the waves ha!

Late to the party this week. Shot -10 in R1 and felt good. Nice course, played well with a couple tough holes where just trying to make par is good so I’m really happy. Went onto R2 and outside 2 bad shots was pretty decent. I don’t look at scores before to prevent me from pressing so I thought -18 would be pretty solid and WHOA! -28 leads? That’s crazy good shooting on this course and thankfully I’ll stick around this weekend it looks like but man these cut lines are really tough. Props to you guys playing so well. Also on US Open qualifying I went -36 which I thought was really good also but will come up just short.

Another delayed start due to real life getting in the way. So it was back to back rounds last night. Extremely happy with a -24 after two. First round was dicey in the middle and two or three scrambling pars saved the two eagles on the card. Three chip ins didn’t hurt either. 😉
Second round was a dream round and the lowest I’ve shot in the season (59). Man, when it’s clicking this game is fun. Good luck to all.

Yes, that noise you just heard was the popping of champagne corks,i've just broken into the WGR Top 400. Yes, the other noise you just heard was the your's truly passing his Royal Highness, he who must be obeyed, the bringer of wind... hmammoth in the WGR. On a slightly more serious note, that's 3 cuts made in a row, if i can make the cut next week then it'll be a record.

Ah well, choked out the third and shot my average -8 in the fourth. Good tourney. Very well played to all those who who bettered me and sorry to all those who didnt. 😉 I did a quick run through of next weeks and it looks pretty challenging. Like riotous I am trying for four consecutive cuts next week. 🤞

Props to the players who got to -40! I was happy with how I played and finished and didn’t sniff that. Gotta step up now.
I hope everyone enjoys next week. Lots of ways to play the course. Highly recommend a practice round to see where you should go for it, lay back, attack a pin or play to the middle of the green.
Onto next week!
