Kind of a random question, but anyone know who BlackJackErnie12 is and why he's immune to promotion marks? He came in 2nd three weeks ago and tied for first (tech. second) last week but doesn't have any promotion marks to his name. Based on the final leaderboard when i finished lat night he's currently leading this tournament too. Whats the deal?

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, the most recent Promo Event has propelled me from the Korn Ferry Tour to this place, where I spent the final weeks of TGC 2 a few years ago (ah, the memories). In KF, I found out that I wasn't happy with the fact that a tournament in the Pro Tours is over for anybody missing the cut. Hence, I came up with a humble little rivalry, namely The Hunt for The Golden Cowwhich runs during the time between two promo events, and which I intend to carry over with me to this flight. It is nothing special at all, and the rules are very basic. Participants simply play their usual EURO rounds and post the respective scores (no screenshots needed) in the weekly thread. Points are rewarded based on the total score after 4 rounds. Missed cuts are not taken into account in the sense that the score after four rounds is considered for everybody. The weekly winner receives [number of participants] points, then one point less for each subsequent finisher. Note that those who do not finish their four rounds get 0 points. If you happen to be interested, please confirm your participation in this thread (tag me maybe). All current EURO players and past Cow Hunters not deterred by the four extra rounds ( Art Vandelay , Crazy Croc , Friz , Giraffe72 , hmammoth , honeybadger64 , OldSouled , Koop , Riotous , and sattsjr ) are welcome! My only recommendation here up mup kupen nup is a separate thread for this side tournament as the weekly discussion threads are for those just wishing to play their rounds and discuss. For instance, I thought I was in the wrong weekly thread when I read about this. I respectfully disagree - the weekly threads could do with the additional traffic and discussion of playing Euro tournaments.

63 (-7) for Round 3 and 64 (-6) for Round 4.
-24 in total. Too many red results to even have a chance to get to the cut in round 2. I did have a Hole in 1 during my 4th round, which won't count haha. It is uploaded on my YouTube page. I'll post it here this weekend.
Not a good start to my Euro career but it is a good practice for what's ahead. I know what to work on.

He could be a pga player just dropping down for fun. He could have been banned from tgctours but still plays the event on ps4. He may have never enrolled in tgctours but still plays them in-game. But if you're talking about the tgctours website leaderboard I have no idea

If there's another place I should be posting this let me know, just curious what might be going on here.

My only recommendation here up mup kupen nup is a separate thread for this side tournament as the weekly discussion threads are for those just wishing to play their rounds and discuss. For instance, I thought I was in the wrong weekly thread when I read about this. Dear Jason, first of all, sorry for having confused you. That surely hasn't been my intention. The postings I do in the context of the Hunt for the Golden Cow are rather limited. Firstly, there is a recruitment post, where I invite players of the relevant flight (in this case the Euro Tour) to participate. Secondly, there are the weekly posts where I inform the participating players about the leaderboard. Usually I provide a mid-week update containing the scores submitted so far, and (usually on Sunday or even Monday, when the tournament is over and the thread is not relevant anymore for non-participating players) an end of week summary. Both these weekly posts consist solely of one or two tables, respectively. Maybe a look at a random weekly tread in KF clarifies things ( for instance, have a look at this one). Even though I think that they are very unobtrusive, I have no problem to move the weekly posts over to a different thread if they bother you (please confirm). However, in the case of a side event so closely related to this flight, I think it is rather straightforward to simply advertise in the corresponding weekly thread in order to reach the target audience in the best possible way. Maybe it would have helped if the scheduler (it seems like that is you?) opened the weekly threads in a similar way as it is done in KF? I'm available to continue this discussion via PM if you have further questions or comments. Cheers, Kevin

Basically leaves the rest of us trying to get promoted with only 9 spots available to get a green check every week?

Feels like we're regularly the quietest tour in the game by far. Most of us are just posting scores and a recap of our rounds/feelings about the course when submitting to this mini-contest which is pretty much what the thread is for anyways

I just didn't want to get in the way of your side tournament as I won't be taking part in it but I do post in the weekly Euro thread. Another way to say it, I didn't want to be confusing you and your efforts!

I have no way to investigate but maybe Doyley could take a look. Tour name is Kevin Becker.

Clearly, you are not forced to participate in the cow hunt, and of course you are free and welcome to continue posting in the weekly Euro thread. And thanks to toddfather's most recent post, I have also identified the scheduler. So, if he doesn't object, I would like to keep the cow hunt in here in the same way as I did in KF. Cheers, Kevin

I got an email saying I was demoted, but at least on the website I'm entered into this one with four strikes, so I guess I got a reprieve.
-10 in round 1 was pretty good, missed a couple 7 footers. Was -1 through 3 in round 2, then I 4-putted the 4th, missing a 7 foot par and a 6 foot bogey, then missed an 8 foot birdie on 5. Then 3-putted from 11 feet on 9 to start the back 9 at +1 and probably needing to go -7 the rest of the way to make the cut. Birdied 10, missed a 12 foot birdie on 11, nearly holed out a chip for eagle on 12 (I missed a good half dozen hole-outs by inches in these two rounds), left a pitch short and parred 13. A slow downswing on my approach, a long chip, and a missed 14 footer on 14 ended my tournament. Just for good measure I 3-putted from 7 feet on 17.
