Indeed SkyBlueBen , you already twitch like Jack Douglas and Johnny laughs like Sid James...…. Anyhoo Score Sheet is now linked on the first page, as this will inevitably get drowned in a torrent of quoting and ever expanding signatures. Love the sheet Greg, you and Ben are in a league or your own when it comes to that stuff. HUZZAH! A minor change request, our team name is A Round with ALES (all caps to show that all our team members are capital gents!)

As I'm sitting outside having a glass of wine and finding myself enjoying nature and watching the sun set on today before getting ready to start tomorrow, I have reflected that while I love golf, competition, and the Dirtbags.... It's been VERY nice to have a week off where I'm not stressing about getting rounds in before the deadline. This break has been MUCH needed. This has nothing to do with how anything has ever been ran but sometimes it's nice just shut it down for a bit (I've even rejoiced when golf league has been rained out before). I know I'll be itching to get back into it as the calendar spins over into June (which it's hard to believe it's already almost June).
I hope you are are well and continue to be well and I'll see you all in a week!

This time of the year I would be heading to the states to stay with my daughter, see my grandkids and do exactly what you are doing now, basking in the warm summer sun, watching my granddaughter at play, the dog sniffing out rabbits, fresh veggies on the table from the garden but instead I am here, unfortunately in fear of this virus due to to health restrictions so I cannot think of a better place to be at this time than with my fellow dirtbags. I look forward to things in the world to get back to semi normal so that I can head home and see my family again, until then.. Onwards and Upwards! I am very grateful to have the likes of all of you to call my virtual family.

Play your rounds on a Sunday, no deadline stresses here My passions in life are watching football and rugby, especially live with the attached social aspect, and it's one thing I'll miss when the sports are given the all clear to go because I won't want to put myself into a risk situation and therefore will probably end up becoming just an armchair supporter I was rather hoping the extra time and practice on pixel golf would see an improvement in my game but if anything I'm getting worse I'd just like to thank this little group for keeping me (sort of) sane. The online play and getting to know my fellow Dirtbags better is the only positive to come out of this awful worldwide crisis.

Me being retired now means this is the only socialising I get outside of the house due to the lockdown conditions in the uk. If it wasn’t for some of you guys twitch streaming I would probably go stir crazy so your my little family at this time. I just wish I had the conditions for me to join in. The good thing with this lockdown is I don’t have to drive very much so I can sit in the garden with a beer and watch the dog barking at everyone that walks past. I can also indulge in an old hobby that I did when I was young, bird watching. I can sit and watch all the birds in mine and the surrounding gardens. I’ve been playing my tour rounds on an evening now but before the lockdown I would have been playing either mornings just before lunch on a Monday Tuesday or afternoons Thursday Friday after I have taken the wife to work. We will get back to normality eventually then I can get a few streams out. Happy pixel golfing people, peace out ✌️

Being in Australia we’re somewhat more fortunate than most other countries, Queensland is inching back towards normality, pro team sport started again this evening, if you call Rugby League a sport - I watched it but I’m not a big fan.
Really looking forward to debuting next week. Stay safe.

I am really really missing Football and although it's not what it used to be Formula 1 as well, I like watching the Friday practice sessions the Saturday Qualifying and the race on a Sunday 🏁 ⚽

Personally, I could do with less work... Yes, I know, I am fortunate to have a job that has not been affected negatively other than having to switch to doing everything online and at home, but the time it takes me to do everything I need to do has increased and doing it (online) is more tiring. I’m not complaining but I AM TIRED! 😂😂😂😂
Love to be able to get ‘away’ from work by talking to you guys and playing my rounds! Hate the fact that I’m stuck in the same room doing that because my girlfriend has claimed our home office... 😡
Anyway, this is a good place and you are good people!
Oh, and did I already tell you I’m tired? 😉

I think i'm losing my mind. I (used) to love watching rugby, cricket, F1 and golf on the TV. For some or other reason I don't miss it and can't explain why. Maybe I've adjusted too fast to the new normal that the old normal seems too alien to me. Just imagine, South Africa vs England at Twickenham - scrum down 5 yards from the South African try line, score 15 all, 5 mins to go, 8 vs 8 pushing and shoving trying to win back the ball with 80 000 screaming fans tightly racked, packed and stacked into the stadium, side by side, screaming, singing, shouting. Madness!

Madness! I am in the same bolded boat with you Marc. My old routine was firing up TGC but always, ALWAYS having live sports on the TV. Now my TV is dormant, and I am ok with it. Why don't I miss it? Maybe when it comes back, I will reunite with it and it will feel so good. The fond memories of last August in Atlanta walking East Lake and watching the best golfers on the planet play....was great stuff. I am forever grateful for TGC2K19 and mostly for this merry band of Dirtbags that I commiserate with. Would be great to someday meet any of you face to face, until then we have our Twitching and Discording. Onward!

Lockdown has been a little strange for me. I used to watch a lot of TV but now only as I am going to bed. I used to play a lot of real golf, and they have re-opened golf courses, tennis courts and angling facilities. That should be a good thing but not so much for me. We are restricted to 2-ball groups and spaced wider apart. This means that weekends are so heavily over-subscribed I don't bother.
During the week, to counter the catastrophic effect of having the clubhouse and bar closed we have been accepting a lot more visitors. Great financially but can be a bloody nightmare. Today, I set off with my mate, caught the two-ball 20 minutes ahead of us after three holes. I don't object to bad players but when they are slow with it I lose my patience. Seven more holes of waiting on every tee, and every approach shot we called it a day. The other thing is the rough is littered with Top-Flite and Slazenger balls that you might break your wrist hitting and I swear I tripped over a Penfold Ace last week.
Brilliant news, from Monday we can play four ball golf. What doesn't kill us only makes us stronger.

What I have missed during lockdown is being able to vist my daughters & grandkids, do get to see & talk to them on zoom a couple of times a week when we have quiz nights . Not a football or rugby fan my preferred sport to watch is stock car/ banger racing which some are saying probably won't start until autumn or maybe next year Work wise is where it got interesting, made redundant in January ( knew that it was going to happen at some point for about the last year & half, just a question of when) started working cash in hand with the intention of going self employed beginning of April then lockdown happened end of March , couldn't get furlough because not working for any one officially, nor the self employed 80% payment, not self employed yet and no books. Had two weeks doing the garden then got offered work working outside and in empty houses on me own which has continued, so got my self employed ticket beginning of the month. Best bit of this is I work less hours and get payed more. But strangely enough I seem to have less time to play pixel golf? Probably because finish work go and potter in garden with some ciders in the sun and the time flies by.
