inflames47Very sorry to see this society in disarray I was probably the only one that did not want expansion going from 24 to 32 players . Too many different opinions in my mind to keep everyone happy. I think it put too much work on the Admins. Very sad to see 3 stalwarts leaving the Dirtbags and I was contemplating leaving this society as this should never have happened but I decided to stay with my team mates. I am hoping when 2K21 comes out that there will be a new society with the Dirtbags as it is a fun group for the most part. Carol get well soon. I am trying not to write something I will regret later. Take care all. Ben, Greg and Frans thanks for your friendship you will be missed and hope you will return too a new society in the future.

I think it put too much work on the Admins. I too was in the camp for not expanding, due to the increased work. However, I don't think that's what led us to where the current state is. I've been around since the first season and my how things have changed. Obviously I hope our group continues, for many I believe it is what keeps us playing most weeks. The friendly competition with banter is what makes it great. Johnny pretty much said what I was thinking and seems to have had the same upbringing as far as once you start something you finish it. I have no problem with those that choose to leave, and you'll be greatly missed as you've been staples with the dirtbags. You've put in more work than I can imagine, and I've always been grateful. However, to quit on your teammates and those that had nothing to do with this disagreement, I have no respect for it. Some of your guys' skin is more thin than my ball striking. With a full time job, young kids, and all the responsibilities that come with that, I unfortunately can't put in the time to contribute as an admin or scoring volunteer. As others have said, I'm willing to pick up where I can, no matter how little it might be. I can't believe this is where we're at now.

As my partner Kenny G said when he posted his first round score of -10 "if I shot that score the good players will tear the course up" or something to that effect. I agree; I had a Round 1 @ -9 and I really did not play that well, missed a lot of putts. Only highlights were being bogey-free and a chip-in Eagle on the back side par five. From what I read in the posts above, I guess we are supposed to enter our own scores in the spreadsheet? I did that and will hope for the best ONWARD (to round two)

Onward!

Léiwen ech-weess-net-ween, léif verbleiwend Kopplabunzerten, dear interested reader,
I have to admit that I become more and more frustrated seeing Frans, Ben, and Greg leave. I don't know what to say.
I have -11, -8, -15, and -7 for a total score of -41 for the week.
Allez Dirtbags!

1st round -5
Another disappointing round of 6 birdies and a bogey, I'm not really enjoying playing just now. When I'm playing like this I just want to post my rounds and move on, so I'm still undecided whether I'll be playing any part in helping to run this.

Round 2 in at -6. Wind did make it a little tougher no doubt. Luckily I was putting a little better but unluckily too many of them were to save par! A chip in birdie was the only highlight, my first bogey the low-light. That will do it for a couple of days unless I get real bored.

How many times have I in the past soldiered on despite spending hours and hours of my own time sorting problems that occur within the group? It's not a decision I took lightly. I spent my Saturday evening responding to a member of the group. There are plenty of other things I could be doing. Everyone has their breaking point. I've put up with all kinds of sh%$ over the season's and still provided a platform for you to enjoy without you having to lift a finger. Have your swipe if it makes you feel better for contributing nothing.

I just couldn’t putt (no surprise)

After seeing a few posts over the last few days I think I'll keep myself on the playing side of this and let someone else step up and do the admin. After being part of the judging panel in the WCoD, I've learnt sometimes volunteering isn't worth it.

I'm grateful, said it every season. You and greg both could have said, "we're passing the reigns off, we no longer wish to do admin/scoring. We will honor our teammates and the others that has nothing to do with this and play our rounds til seasons end, but then we're done." My issue isn't with the breaking point of quitting the admin stuff, it's the screwing of your team and really everyone by just quitting over a spat with Ashton. I've had nothing to do with this or any of the problems you say you've had to deal with. I just gave my opinion and you wanted to "swipe" at me Talk about a swipe..I contributed to this group before you were even in it. If I had the time, i would do the scoring... only difference is I wouldn't expect the holier than thou, bow down to me, don't post that you disagree with my decisions cause I can't take it or I'll quit, I'm admin attitude about it.

But there you have it, it’s not just the spat with Ashton it’s the constant hassle nowadays EVERY time a decision I has to be made. If I had the time says it all. I did more for the group after I left this afternoon that you have done in 4 seasons. Having seen the attitude of some I have chosen the right time to step away. I obviously wasn’t up to the job. I’ll let you step in and look after things. If only you had the time. Enjoy Dirtbags. I’m sure as ever someone will step up to the plate to be of service to you. I’ve done my share.

There it is.. "I've done this and so much for you, I know you've told me thanks a thousand times, but I want you to wake up in the morning and call your mom to let her know how grateful you are for the admin team."
This group was just fine before you entered it.. I'm not kissing your ass as bad as you want me to.
I'm not sure why there is animosity towards me, ive not contributed to your headaches ever! but you can take it and @!$# off.
