Haha fair enough. I play to fast for turn order to be on. However last few times I've had ghosts I've had tempo issues. I'm blaming the ghosts. Not me. 😄

Hate that with balls flying all over the shop. Distracting. Thought you’d be used to that as a Coventry fan I'll have you know we were the Barcelona of League 1. Total football. Well as total as you can get in the 3rd Division!!

Round 4 -3
Well thank God that week is done, another horrible round 8 birdies and 5 bogies for a 19 under finish for the week. It shows how bad I'm playing that my 4th round opponent Sam was 4 less than me over 18 holes than I did over 72.
How can you compete with that?

I've yo yo'd from g to C back to E back to C. Won't be long and you will be back up there. And just when we all reach peak performance there will be a new game to learn

Ok, at least this time on the 4th round I managed not to put any ball off the green with my putter... I keep feeling like my score and my performance have nothing to do with each other this week, at least I hope I can help a bit the team... Rd. 3: -7 Rd. 4: -8 honeybadger64

There are scores are unreachable for some of us. We need to nobble these Pro players by tying their hands together or something along those lines.....

Not sure how to reply Pat but these two shots have probably cost me the chance of my first win on Tour this week.... I guess we’ve all got good shots and horrific shots in us...

This will be my last post of length in the Dirtbags league group until I get a conversation (and hopefully an apology) for the targeted attacks. I have a hunch I know where the distain is coming from and I have an even better hunch that there will be no further discussion so other than my scores, you won't see me around this thread much (I'm sure there are many of you cheering right now).
First, I'll be playing rounds 3 and 4 today to avoid any further targeted retribution. You can save your cell fill in colors (which I'm still missing the green by the way).
I've been here since the beginning. The group was laid back. Now, I fear this group is going in the wrong direction. I got that vibe early on in season and I've noticed some other examples along the way that have worried me. I don't think this group will be able to survive another shake up like we've had before with how things are going. I'm not going to elaborate further as I don't want to lose points for bucking the system but know that whether I'm a part of it or not, I would like this group to succeed as it has been the only reason I continue to play weekly tournaments at times.
I've arguably been one of the biggest advocates of building community and promoting continuity in the Dirtbags group. I've thrown out ideas and had them shot down or even completely ignored but I never fussed. I've ran events to fill gaps and try to bring people together. Some have said I've been the keystone of getting the DirtbagsTV going. Never once did I brag or boast about the things I did to try and make the community come together. I was always about the results and not the accolades.
When I was one of the only ones streaming, I would do DW on Saturday morning and Designed by Dirtbags Sunday morning. Since other people came on the scene, I saw a conflict happening and even though I was first, I proactively sent a message to avoid 2 Dirtbags streams going at the same time and what's more, I even offered the other person the opportunity to pick their time and I'd work around it. I hope this example shows it's not all about me, like people seem to claim.
I've also joined in on other Dirtbags streams as much as possible just to say hi and let them know I support what they are doing. Often times I would do this not during my idle time which meant I was putting something else on hold. Again, trying to be selfless.
As far as the tardy rounds, I will continue to feel (just as I always have) it's silly to expect things to be done before the TGCTours deadlines, especially in the summer time and even more so as the world is opening up more and thus having things that take more of people's time. People should be out enjoying life, not spending all of their playing or typing about digital golf. I realize that some people don't work or don't have vibrant social lives so they have more interest in these competitions. However, opening the spreadsheet on a Monday to see it littered with scores ruins the suspense for people as well (and I know it's because people want to rush through their rounds because they've admitted they can't play under pressure). There are 2 sides to the coin of people playing early vs. late rounds. The difference is now,
But how you go from a reminder to a new rule without warning was clearly done so quickly because of who it was affecting, not the act itself.
To the argument they need to be in for the "press corps". I had mine in before the last one was posted and it was still noted 2 rounds weren't completed. Fake news. Maybe they weren't done before it was written up but it was done before it was posted. Again, I realize that for some people, digital golf is life so they really enjoy the fictitious write ups, but I stopped reading them when I realized it was just a way for people to take pot shots at other Dirtbags (I know I mentioned reading the latest one in my post but I only looked for our team's part to see what was said this week). And before everyone gets butthurt about what I said about other people's work: I did Dirtbags Weekly which people thought was crap and I'm okay with that because they are allowed to feel how they want. There were times when I would go to do an episode and results weren't in and again, I never fussed because this is a game played for leisure.
There is a quote in one of my favorite series of movies that applies to the situation and it's "You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain" and I'm cognizant that I'm on that path. I lost faith when Ben handed over the reigns and with these latest targeted attacks, I know that the writing on the wall that some (or maybe most or all) want the 🦊 gone. That's okay, maybe I've served my purpose here. But I'm not going to walk away; you're going to have to kick me out. I didn't stick around this long to quit because then I become just another Dirtbag to hang it up on the group (and there has been enough of that over the seasons).
So again, unless other dialog happens, this will be the last you hear from me other than reporting scores.
Take care and be safe.

So again, unless other dialog happens, this will be the last you hear from me other than reporting scores. Take care and be safe. Why is this always a thing with you? We have policies in place. Do or do not, as Yoda says. You don't like? No problem. You don't have to play. I don't understand why you are always going on about "before TGCtour deadlines?" This isn't TGCtours. This is a separate and independent group. The policies are there in black and white and always have been. Then, after being called out for continuing to not play your rounds on time, you play the victim and say you're being attacked. Your posts are almost always negative and almost always bash people who volunteer their time to get the scores on the spreadsheet.
Sorry to sound so harsh, but you are the one causing all this ruckus. It's a really simple thing; play your rounds on time and show a little respect for others around here, or just don't play. If your schedule doesn't allow for you to play on time, then that's how it is. You need to either figure it out, or leave and get on with your life. So much drama for such a simple thing.
I just read the part about how you're not going to leave, we have to kick you out. Is it really necessary to be so dramatic. Really? We're all adults here (I think). We don't need this high school BS drama. This post of yours is basically saying no one wants to play with the Dirtbags etc. etc. Why stay if you hate it so much? You know what? I'm not sorry to sound so harsh. Grow up and act like an adult. This is how children act. They are upset that others don't like the way they act, so they say awful things about the group and how they don't want to be in it anyways. Then they stick around and complain over and over again.

OK, now that I've said my peace, I can post another lame score. Rd 4: -7, made the turn at -5. I thought I had my tempo under control, but so many P/F swings on the back made it impossible to get close enough to make a lot of birds. I really like the course, except for a few things. The greens are horribly inconsistent (a category in judging contests). Some are pretty flat, and others are borderline unfair and illegal. The hole locations could have been better distributed. Pins 1 and 2 seemed pretty easy, while pin 3 and 4 were outrageous at times. This is a course that is designed to be played from the tips. Using master clubs from a forward tee is very frustrating. Yeah, I could have left the driver out of the bag, but it was necessary a couple of times. I know I don't do this enough on my own courses, but designers should playtest and adjust for CC events being played from forward tees. That said, I did really like the course. Beautiful elevation work and sculpting and nice environment. honeybadger64

Life gets in the way sometimes and once this virus gets out the way you might see more people struggling to get rounds in in a timely manner as life gets back to normality.
