I heard cappy1 doing a bong rip and joining SkyBlueBen and bogeyman in their delightful English accents saying "nicely done, Johnny!" Nice post Johnny but I believe I sound a bit more Aussie these days Whatever it is, I dig it. I love watching your streams... 👍

Round 4 : -11. Turned at -8 again but a few bad putts on the back 9 and a bogey at 18 ruined what was a nice round, I was -12 through 15, then par-par-bogey to finish.
-43 for the week.

When we last visited the Blunderdome, Art Vandelay had been defeated in round 1 by IGolfBad by a scant 2 strokes. Let's see where our two Dolts are now...Round 2
ring ring ring...ring ring ring...ring ri
"Uhhhhh, Herro? Ow my brain...who is this?"
"Art? Is that you? This is Les. Our tee time is in an hour. You said you would give me lift on your magic carpet, what ever that meant. You ok?"
With my head still throbbing to the rhythm of some bad poetry, I apologized to Les about some carpet and said I would meet him at the course. Knowing I had little time to spare, I sat up in bed only to feel the presence of another body in the bed. Mrs. V didn't make the the trip...
I remember losing my match to Mark but being the ol' sport he was he took me out to dinner (his treat he said). I do remember a decent meal (French food, it had BETTER!) but the bartender looked remarkably like the fella who served us drinks at the turn on Deux Fois Par Jour. Last thing I recall was a lovely chocolate tart for dessert at a Karaoke bar while singing Steppenwolf with some folks I knew and others I did not...
I now look over at the mass in the bed with me.....IT'S BEULAH! Snoring louder than a Megadeth concert. Never left a bed, room, hotel that fast in my life.
No time for a shower, match started in 45 minutes as I hailed an Uber. Changed clothes in the car, luckily those were clean even though I felt soiled and smelled of Brut for Sorta Women.
As I raced to the first tee I find my partner in pairs Les lessangster chatting with our opponents for the day, Frans fransslabak and Mark IGolfBad . We lost our match mostly because I started feeling woozy on the back nine for some reason, was amazed that I played at all and still don't recall the final score. All three looked as if they were seeing a zombie, which they were. Mark in particular seemed shocked and angered at the same time.
I played the front nine better than my physical condition should have allowed, a Humph on 4 keeping me from matching day one so I turned at -4. Mark struggled more than I did, seemed preoccupied by what a bad job someone named Ruthie had done last night or something. He turned at -1 and offered to get me a beverage. Not feeling up to it, I grabbed my bottle of Pepto and said let's keep going. This somehow angered Mark, not sure why.
Back nine I played much better than in round 1, it almost seemed like I wasn't even there yesterday. Clean nine with three chirps. Mark on the other hand kept getting calls on his phone, some in mid swing. The calls seem to be about some sort of financial transaction. His game was all over the place- an iggle, a chirp, some Humphs and even a double Humph. When the dust settled Mark struggled home in +1.
Round 2 scores - Art -7 and Mark Level Par.
I offered to return the favor and take Mark for a post game meal, he politely declined saying he had a prior engagement. As we walked towards the courtesy cars we saw Beulah and her brother Rocco (all I know about him is that he works in collections, he is nearly as big as his sister!). Next thing I knew Mark bolted through the car park and Beulah and Rocco went running after him. Odd behavior, I know they are acquaintances.
I went back to the hotel. Longest shower ever. Will sleep as much as possible to be ready for my singles match with Jeff hoosierhoops24 . And round 3 of Catcherman with Mark, if we can find him.
Onward!

I'm sorry teammates. I did my best to befriend this course but the sad truth is it hated me.

Round three in the books last night -8 i don’t care what anyone else says I think it’s a horrible course with too many upturned bowl greens, I’ve never had the ball run off so many greens before. It doesn’t surprise me that it was built in 24 hrs. Edit: I forgot to say that I think the rough is a bit severe as well. Hit the rough with pro clubs on one of the long par 4’s and you can forget about reaching the green.

i dont think ive ever seen a more divisive course.
i found the greens to be quite friendly. there were a lot greens with decent slopes on them, but most of them had a decent landing area that allowed for a birdie chance. with the conditions being soft or moderate they didnt bounce too much.
but ive watched others play that had the troubles that you describe.
i guess thats golf for you. one persons trash is anothers treasure.

Exactly we don’t all like the same things, I wasn’t particularly hitting the ball well but the ones I did hit well I felt I wasn’t rewarded for.

Round 3: not a lot to say 3 early missed birdies after great approach shots really hurt me, I just couldn't get my putter to work today at least not the way needed it to, if not for a brief flurry to start the back nine this would have been a pretty poor round considering the way I have played the course thus far. pretty sure I have handed Carol inflames47 2 points. The greens can be a bit annoying but all in all I quite like the course, as for my 3rd round I had an eagle sandwich at 15 with bogies at 14 and 16, it was one of those rounds that could've been better but I holed three or four banana putts so on the other hand it could've been worse.
Round Three -8

Round 4: 2 Eagles and 3 birdies -7 under for the front 9 and I felt like this should be another low score for me, unfortunately everything either rolled off the green or just stopped and left fighting to save par on the back 9. Was hoping for a clean sheet this week but 17th would put an end to that idea with a tap in par after the rolled off the back after pitching 15 yards short of the hole, I actually thought I'd hit a really nice shot just goes to show what i know. In the end I feel like I have let my guys down in last 2 rounds.
R4: -9

Looking at the results for this season, Cupid Stunts only chance to avoid bottom of the barrel is if we let Johnny Evil play ALL our rounds against the competition, the rest of us suck. Is that possible Paul, can you arrange the schedule that way?

Round 3 @ -4 Round 4 @ -6
I must admit I played fast and loose, but I did not enjoy the course all that much. There were way too many turtle-back greens for my liking, and I don't think the course was well suited for 187 green speed.
Anyway, done and done, and downhill slide to CC-Am continues apace.
