Nice shot long neck, dropped in with the final roll - perfect. But what’s going on with those trousers!!
Backed up a good start with a strong second round but struggled in round 3, standard medium wind but far tougher pin positions and the return of the old swing means a podium finish looks unlikely. Probably for the best because I doubt my nerves could stand it!!

Hard to be that frustrated with a -9 & -11 start to the event but it does feel like I left some strokes out there that I shouldn't have. Oh well, on to the weekend where I'm hoping to keep the good run of form going.

Welcome Wade, to be fair the wind isn't normally that strong in these parts and most of us experience cold days (quite regularly in my case) with the putter, just keep try and minimise the three stabs on those days I see your three stab and I raise you my five stab on 18. Still pissy about that one this morning! Good news is I've done another system reset on my console and it seems to be ok. I remember when I first got here the hardest thing to get used to was the wind meter, and I'm pretty sure Dan cranked the wind up straight after the promo event then as well! The Irish aren't all leprechauns and potatoes, they've got a little mischievous streak too. Consider yourselves hazed! It takes a couple of weeks but you soon won't even notice the lack of a number on the dial. Nice to see some new posters in the thread, it's worth fighting to stick around, this tour is the best one in TGCT. I did clip my eagle 2, this one might just be the shot which saved my week. When you're struggling with the putter try and avoid using it! The lack of wind meter was different, but I think I'll like it once I get used to it. What got me on 18 was the slope that carried me back the front of the green. So far back that my putter wasn't strong enough to carry me all of the way up the slope and actually sent the ball back passed me further than before. I don't know who is more to blame... Is it the person who designed the game's putting mechanics?, or the person who designed the course with that giant slope, on that giant green?. All I know for sure is it's not my fault

My original approach didn't even miss by much, that was a pretty harsh penalty. I feel your pain! Looking at the Xbox leaderboard it's looking likely to cost me two more rounds too.

Anyone else get John Candy saying “Welcome to Wichita” from the movie Planes, Trains and Automobiles in their heads when starting this event in very high winds? I needed a laugh after round 1 with a -6. Much better in R2 with a -11 but not sure -17 is actually going to be good enough this week. Crazy considering those winds!!! I’ll be anxiously checking the cut line tomorrow.

Ugh. Not looking great for -18, let alone -17. Shows how well this course played in the wind. Second round I've hit 100% FIR and GIR. A combination of that (frankly) poor pin on 18 in round one and some horribly inept putting on the 163's in round two looks likely to cost me. Oh well, more time in the designer! Great shooting Riotous, top of the pile! 😎

Hey guys, I'm one of the new players from CC-E. Played my first 2 rounds last night and posted -4 & -9 to MC, but really not too upset with it! These were only my 2nd and 3rd rounds with no wind meter and thought I handled it pretty well by only making 1 bogey. Hopefully -13 will be just good enough to stay out of Demo mark territory and looking forward to trying to make my first cut next week

Well as I thought -17 isn't going to be good enough. Too bad especially in very high and high winds. But I did like the course the more I played it. Didn't hurt I did better the more I went along. So disappointed in a missed cut but like Giraffe72 I'll spend more time in the designer trying to finish up the latest course (which you can see some early pics in the under construction board). Good luck everyone finishing up this week. If -17's aren't making cuts now I think I need to really step up my game to stay competitive.

Liked the course. Had a solid -10 in the first round winds and thought phew, made it past the hurricane ok. Then I caught up with the leaderboard yesterday and saw all those 20+ two round totals and thought uh-oh, here comes my second round collapse. Sitting at -8 on the tee at 16 had me a bit worried. Good drive and terrible push on the approach had me on the green but 70 feet away with putter in hand. Oh crap, here comes the choke. Draino. Breathing again and palms drying out with the -20. Two more birdies to finish out. What a frickin rush. It’s why we all play this game.

Only missed the stress on the front nine until you've got a couple of birds in the bag. Tell me you have a video of the 70ft putt?

Normally I would have, but I had a blue screen of death two holes earlier so I was trying to get through without any more drama and not hitting any more buttons than I needed to. Lol.

Far away my best result ever, very pleased. No bogies, No three stabs, No lucky hole outs. Was it a one off? Or is the hard work about to start paying off

Hi there! Feels good to play with the big boys, thank you for the welcome!
My first show was not as bad as I expected as I finished with a -26. Could be better, could be also much worse, given the conditions you prepared for us newbies on our first tournament without the windometer I however have a problem, maybe somebody can help: I was wondering the whole weekend why my score was not showing up at the web, as it usually does. I waited for the week to close and, when I checked it now, I found why: I appear as a Withdrawn! I played the four rounds, so maybe there was a problem with scores after the promotion event? I doubt it, since my tour card is showing the correct tour... My only guess, but here I am not even sure myself about when I did play: I was not aware that there was a cut on thursday night... So it COULD BE that I played one and a half rounds until that date, then completed the second half of R2 on friday. That would make it count as a withdrawal at the moment of the cut. This is the only possibility coming to my mind right now as an explanation. Is there any way for the organisators to look at the timing of rounds finishing?
If this is the real explanation...well... as was so stupid as to miss the driver on tee 1 of my first major.. I shot a combined -15 for R1 and R2, so it wouldn't have saved me from the cut, but also not automatically mean punishment because of withdrawal
I would appreciate if somebody has experienced the same and can confirm. Or if our beloved organisators can look into that.

Unfortunately you do have to play your first two rounds by the Thursday deadline so that is the reason. Sorry to hear that has happened, it is something that can happen to people new to the pro tours. Hopefully the next couple of weeks will see you used to the cut line and lack of wind number and will go better for you.
