First of all, welcome to the new guys, nice to have you aboard The Korn Ferry. To tell you the truth, I am glad to see the back of the people you are replacing, they were the riffraff of the tours, uncouth behaviour, foul language and generally with out class, glad to see them replaced by such classy and dignified people such as yourself. So what have we got for you this week. Well this week we have a course by Brain Spaghetti gamesdecent. I think this might be the first time I have used a course by Brain. Now for those that don’t know, Brain is a member of KEG, one of the two gangs who battle for control of course design here on the tours and it’s very interesting how KEG got its name. The founding members of the gang were having a beach barbecue to discuss future plans. The beach was full of beautiful people with perfectly sculpted bodies, both male and female. The future KEG members decide to impress the ladies by taking of their shirts but when they did, there were gasps of horror and the ladies on the beach grabbed on to the closest hunk. One of the members looked at this and shouted. “ forget those guys, they only carry a 6 pack, we have kegs” then took hold of said keg and started shaking it in the direction of the horrified ladies and with that, a gang was born. To this day, it remains a symbol of power within the gang, the bigger the keg, the higher up the gang ladder the person is. It is such a shame to see the tours used as a battle ground between these two rivals. Who can forget the masters of 2018, when at amen corner, the gangs clashed, out of the right side of the Forest came the DAM, fingers clicking as they moved to the centre of the fairway. From the left, strutted the KEG, perfectly in time with each other and when they met in the middle, what followed sent shockwaves through the tours. Those that bore witness to two groups of white middle aged men having a dance off had nightmares for years, there was dad dancing, there was drunk wedding dances, it was horrible and for the only time in tgctours history, the masters was abandoned. Hopefully, there will be no such incidents this week. Because, I am such a kind hearted scheduler, I wanted you new guys to have a gentle introduction to the KF, so I picked a nice easy course but for some reason the weather gods disagreed with me, very high winds was not how I wanted to introduce you guys to the KF but alas, such is the case. It’s very strange, every time there is a promotion event, something like this happens, what a coincidence. Oh well, such is life, good luck and have fun, both old and new members.

Slept late this morning and hit the course not too long after the server opened - coffee in hand, buttered toast pinched between little- and ring finger while trying to hook one side of my controller over the rim of my mug in order to have half a decent swing. Struck me at that point that mouse players have it easy.
Wind was up a bit - my always play for 10 mph default just did not quite add up and as it is almost every approach conspired to hit the wrong side of the green slopes and running wild. By the time I got to the 5th I backed out just to check that I did not load the DAM society by mistake. No mistake, was the KF tour. Played to the 18th, got there at 6 under. Reloaded, wind was less this time round and realized I needed to score low in these easy conditions or it will be missed cut #crapload for me, made a couple birdies here and there, scored -11.
With the Dirtbags taking the week off I had to play the last 2 rounds at KF in order to fulfil my sponsors' quota of 4 rounds on Sundays. Round 3 was easy peasy - hardly any wind at all - I on the other hand allowed for too much wind on my putts and missed a fair number of expectable ones. Last round, was breezy again, played better and closed out on the 72nd with my only eagle for the tourney.
If -17 makes it to the weekend, then payouts and WGR points allotment will be calculated on -36 and ties for me.
Nice course, enjoyed that.

Welcome to the new Korn Holers. My apologies to the staff at Royal Bentleigh who were around the 1st tee this afternoon, I was swearing at the scheduler not you, but because the wind was so strong you may have thought otherwise.
This course can handle the high winds though because of the wide fairways and run off zones. Very surprisingly I handled the high wind too, one of the best rounds I’ve played. -12 after Rd1

How do I get initiated into the KEG gang without designing a course??? You're talking my talk with all this middle age white guy, dad dancing stuff. I write nasty notes to the bride and groom if I come to their wedding and don't get to have the Isley Bros. telling me to Shout! Also, nice shout out to the 316! I'm from 70 miles N of Wichita. The city kind of sucks but cool to see a KS shout out! (sorry to any one who may be from Wichita, but you know ). Hopefully that dig doesn't come back to bit me on the course....

Lots of change from this promo event! 19 KFers have moved up to be replaced by 40 from the Challenge Circuit, including 6 all the way from CCE! Big congrats to those who've made the jump, feel free to post your thoughts in this thread, we're a friendly bunch round these parts Hoping to play my first two rounds tonight. I feel like this could be a turning point in my season. A week and a half ago I was sitting on 3 demo marks, bottom of the leaderboard from round one and had gone OOB off the second tee in round two. Things were looking pretty bleak. I managed to turn that around and actually only missed that cut by one shot in the end, then a welcome top 25 last week removed one of those pesky red marks. If I can get something going tonight maybe I can get on a little roll again?.... Good luck all!

FFS this is supposed to be my down time! Turn the xbox on, get to a weird screen which tells me I need to to a system reset. Can't do that, been working on a course for the last 18 months. 2 hours online with Microsoft 'support', some bloke in India is trying to be helpful but isn't really understanding the concept of something saved on my hard drive. I don't think this one is in the cloud mate. Manage to restart the Xbox by pressing various buttons all at the same time whilst simultaneously rubbing my tummy and patting my head and singing Drink Up Thy Cider (that bit was optional). Happy days, publish my unfinished POS course just in case this is the last time this xbox ever turns on, let's play!
First round, Xbox power light intermittently flashing at me, but all seems fine. Play the first 16 holes immaculately, missed a few chances but never in danger of dropping a shot. Then hit my first bad drive of the round on 17 and make a bogey. No worries, 18 is a reachable par 5! And I reach it but sadly my ball almost gets up to the pin but rolls back down the hill. No worries, 2 putts for birdie! 90 odd feet, 4 feet uphill, twice I give it a good poke, twice the ball ends up back at my feet. Honestly, not impressed. With anything at this point. End up with a 7 and a little bit bitter.
Second round, I can't even explain it. Second week in a row I've completely lost the pace on 163's. I don't understand it, I've always found these the easiest. Powering mid range putts past the hole, missed 3 tiddlers hitting it through the break, I'm going mad! But holed out for a sweet eagle on 10 and finally holed a couple of putts on 17 and 18 for a good finish.
66 and 60 for -18 at the cut. I have no idea, I need to find a darkened room and some whiskey.

That was a rough start to my time on the KF Tour... I gotta figure out the putter issues quickly or this is going to be a short stay.

Hello all! I’m one of the six all the way from CC-E. Sunk a 15 footer for eagle on hole 72 of the promo event to get in right on the number. Would be cool if I could hang out for a least a while on this level.
I’m missing that handy wind meter but probably played my best round ever to open at -9. Then followed it up with an underwhelming -8 in easier conditions.
I see that there’s prize money awarded for each event. If I finish “in the money” do I have to give my bank wiring information? If there’s an option to pick it up in cash I’d prefer that! Small bills please!!

Ssssshhhh First rule of Korn Ferry is not to talk about the money, the scheduler will be knocking at your door asking for his cut. Tell him you haven't received any, and compliment his wonderful course choices and your love of his all too frequent Very very Firm and Stupidly Fast conditions and he should go away. That's a really solid start to your KF career, well done

That was a rough start to my time on the KF Tour... I gotta figure out the putter issues quickly or this is going to be a short stay. Welcome Wade, to be fair the wind isn't normally that strong in these parts and most of us experience cold days (quite regularly in my case) with the putter, just keep try and minimise the three stabs on those days

Welcome Wade, to be fair the wind isn't normally that strong in these parts and most of us experience cold days (quite regularly in my case) with the putter, just keep try and minimise the three stabs on those days I see your three stab and I raise you my five stab on 18. Still pissy about that one this morning! Good news is I've done another system reset on my console and it seems to be ok. I remember when I first got here the hardest thing to get used to was the wind meter, and I'm pretty sure Dan cranked the wind up straight after the promo event then as well! The Irish aren't all leprechauns and potatoes, they've got a little mischievous streak too. Consider yourselves hazed! It takes a couple of weeks but you soon won't even notice the lack of a number on the dial. Nice to see some new posters in the thread, it's worth fighting to stick around, this tour is the best one in TGCT. I did clip my eagle 2, this one might just be the shot which saved my week. When you're struggling with the putter try and avoid using it!

I would never crank the wind up as a welcome to the new guys, just because it had happened after every promotion event for the past two years is mere coincidence, that reminds me, when is the next promotion event, asking for a friend. Anyway, I thought I would visit the course this morning to see what the fuss was. Twas naught but a gentle breeze, just wait until the KF sets sail for a Scottish links course in a few weeks, then you will see proper windy conditions. I think I need to toughen ye guys up, I have been to kind and gentle. As for my round, I shot -11, not bad for a mere amateur golfer.
