Resort Information: Spiritsail Bluffs Golf Club is located about 40 miles off the coast of Maine and is only accessible by boat or helicopter. We are primarily a golf resort, though we have a separate fishing lodge where one can either fish in our regularly stocked pond or one can fish on the open ocean on our fishing boat, which goes out twice a day. Course History: Spiritsail Bluffs got its name from the old sailing school (unfortunately destroyed in golf course construction) which used to be quite prominent, although the strong currents and rocky shores proved to be too difficult to sail in. Either that, or the owner of the course thought Spritsail (a type of small sailboat) was spelled Spiritsail and just thought Spiritsail sounded cooler. You can decide that one. Some Geological facts: Spiritsail Bluffs has had a hard time with erosion over the years, leading to many repairs on the golf course. So, plants and rocks were placed on the sides of the creeks and water flow was controlled through ponds and waterfalls. The cliffs also formed from erosion from the strong waves and currents on the eastern side of the island. Course Information/Yardages: This course is designed to test strategy and shot-shaping, so have fun, try out some different shot shapes, and think carefully. Pin sets 1-4 get more difficult with one being easiest and 4 being hardest (though there's not a huge difference). Hole by Hole Tour: 1. Landward Par 4. A little disappointing to see no comments, but I guess there's a ton of courses coming out right now. I'd love any sorts of critiques, but I know that's not the norm for this forum or competitions in general pre-judging. I'd be very happy to get a PM, though, about the course and what I can improve on. I did spend like 140 hours on this course and it's pretty frustrating to not get any comments, but I get that a lot is going on at the moment. A PM would be my preference but feel free to publicly roast me (hopefully constructively), but any critique would be very appreciated, or, if you played the course and liked it, I'd also love it if you could let me know. Thanks and good luck to everyone! Lots of great courses out there!

I'll give this a run later as I'm getting back into playing this game.
I'll attempt to leave some feedback.

Sorry it took so long to get around to playing this course. For starters, totally dig the holecards with overhead views! It's a sign that your 140 hours of work was worth taking that extra step. I'm not the best source of suggestions for improvements, as I am still learning this game/designer myself. However, I will point out some of my favorite moments on the round. On hole 2... I see rocks. First sign that I will at least enjoy one feature on the course! Then, hole 3 the rocks and bushy undergrowth continues, I dig it. The rocky stream that is around hole 5 and 6 is really well done. My favorite stretch of holes is 7, 8, and 9. Playing from the forested area back to the coast, and then back into the forested area was nice. I would have to say that 8 was my favorite hole overall. The waterfalls to the right on hole 11 was also something that caught my eye. Overall, I truly enjoyed my round, and the time you took creating this course really shows. Well done! Good luck in the competition.

Good luck in the competition. Definitely not a problem, really appreciate the play and feedback! Definitely noted! I was hoping you would like all the rocks I put in at the beginning. Hopefully the cliffs were an okay substitute at the end. Also, awesome job on Toby's Rock, absolutely loved the scenery and I could tell you put a ton of effort and detail in. Good luck in the competition!
