Round 1 played ok and Round 2 went a little better. Did par two of the Par's 5 in the 2nd round though

That's nice scoring again Tim. I managed -15 in Rd 1 - I haven't played Rd 2 yet.

I had a very rough week. Not sure what was going on, but tempo was all over the place. Tempo on beginner clubs you say? Yep, for whatever reason I still struggle severely. Probably had 20+ fast swings. Most were on approaches or pitches/flops which took me out of birdie chances.
I used to play 20-30 rounds a week with societies. Just playing these 4 rounds now and it is starting to show. Another horrible week of putting, especially inside 10 feet.
Super easy course and setup. Green speeds were fast again which I like but some don’t (179, 163, 187, 179). Of the 72 holes only one or two pins seemed tough. I just struggled throughout and was never in contention. Can’t remember final score but I am guessing 15-20 shots off the pace.

I have never really understood this version of the game - TGC was a full swing, which could be held for at least 1 to 3s before the downswing to ensure 100% - I remember switching from PS4 to XB1 when PS4 players get a 95% swing after an update - once that was fixed I went back to PS4. When TGC2 was discussed, I loved the idea of a fluid/tempo based swing - I speculated that, that would be something I was good at. I did notice that if I played early ish in the morning CST (6 hours behind GMT) my results were more consistent. I have no idea what is taking the place with TGC 2019 - I honestly cannot understand the vast differences one player gets from another. I'm not talking about flicking or whatever. It's the inability to hit the same shot twice. I haven't got a fast tempo with beginner's club - I rarely get a fast downswing with Masters, my miss is a slow or very slow, when there's no difference in my swing cadence. I hope this is sorted out for the new game, especially as Nintendo users will be able to play this game too, which inevitably means more members for our community - I think that's a good thing.

I see it on Par 5's and short Par 4's where I can get on the green instead of others on occasion. On one of those Par 5's I got par I hit a very fast off into the weeds. Then hit something on the 2nd shot off and went way left. Was honestly lucky to get par.

I agree with Mark. This version of the game is just difficult to understand. I’ve never understood the tempo swing or what I’m physically doing with the controller to alter it.
I couldn’t imagine trying to get a fast on purpose. If I make a swing that feels fast, I get a slow, which just doesn’t compute in my mind. When I tried master clubs after this version first came out, I never got more than a few p/p a round and NO idea why those were different or better.
I’d love to have the control to fire off a fast to reach a par 5 or get over water. No chance for me with this version though.
What’s really odd is TGC2 that introduced tempo, I had zero issues. I loved the tempo swing in that game.
Hoping as well the new game is an improvement. Not much faith it will be.

Round 1 played ok and Round 2 went a little better. Did par two of the Par's 5 in the 2nd round though I'm sure the people on the in-game message board will be quick to congratulate your score with no complaints or accusations. They're such a great bunch of guys.

Played rather well from tee to green but the putts weren't breaking quite as much as I expected them to so I'll say I probably missed three birdie putts that I felt I should have been able to make. I did get my second consecutive 1st round hole-in-one on hole 14. Think I had one all season prior to last week. Ended up with an acceptable -13.

I hit another -15 for Rd 2 and parred one of the par 5s - I did chip in twice though.

In round 2 I'll say my putter didn't do me any favours but it didn't outright let me down like it did in round 1. There were some putts that weren't easy but they were makeable and I missed them all. An eagle on 8 was what it took to finally get me rolling and I finished -11.

Since it's a holiday here, I had nothing better to do, and I had a good start I went ahead and got my last two rounds out of the way. Not much to get excited about although I possibly hit my best bad shot ever on hole 72 with a shot that should have ended who knows where taking a lucky bounce, then hit the pin leaving me a short birdie putt instead of a long one. Two lucky breaks on a very poorly hit shot with no chance to give the stroke back on a future hole? Last time I expect that'll happen to me. Ended up being one of my most consistent tournaments with -12 and -11 rounds to finish. After an 11th place last week this better be enough to get me into the top 10 because it's just about as good as I can do.

2x -13s to finish. I make some real fantastic putts and then miss some easier ones.
