Well..with the new game released in some month and considering (if i understand well) that it will be possible to port courses in the new game, i decided it would be useless to still wait and to start with a new project.. After weeks of deep doubts, after i evaluated different possibilities, i decided to start creating the course at The Club at Nine Bridges. I was honestly deeply in doubt between this course, Sheshan (China), TPC Kuala Lumpur West (Malaysia) and the stunning Royal Course at El Salam (Morocco) and Leopard Creek CC (South Africa), cause all of them are fantastic courses and, more important thing, potentially useful for this community, but i will start with The Club at Nine Bridges cause i must admit that about this course i found the best and more accurate maps of fairways and, most important thing, greens, with reported accurate elevation changes and, in short, all is needed to do a good work. But i really wish to create all these 5 courses on the next months..and i'll probably try. Meanwhile i'll spend the next months collecting material for all these courses..so if for some reason someone should ever decide to create one of these courses, i'll be ready and really happy to share what i have. But first..Nine Bridges!!! In the next days/weeks/months i'll report my progresses here. I'll be helped in this enterprise by a great guide to create real courses i casually found weeks ago looking on internet, created by the master TheClv when he created Merion East..so i must admit i have everything i could ever desire to do a good work. Is just all on me, in short. I hope to do a good work, to offer an enjoyable course to this community. Of course, if someone else is already working on this course or just decided to start, i'm ready to renounce, to skip to another course and to share all the material i found until now. Otherwise, just wish some good luck to me and follow my work Every suggestion, critic, advice, source of useful material (especially if someone knows how/where i could find some complete tv video footages of the PGA tournaments played here), it will be super appreciated.

Unfortunately, about Leopard Creek, i have difficulties to find both accurate maps and tv video footages of the entire European Tour rounds..and without these things it will be really uneasy to make a really accurate work about slopes and elevation changes.. also considering that some year ago the course has been slightly renovated and i will need some time to understand what part of the pics i'm collecting are taken before or after this renovation. No counting the difficulty to recreate a trustable environment..a simply stunning one with an unreal light..it will be hard to catch. It will be a challenge, for sure. But i hope that when i'll start to work on this course, i'll be improved enough to not ruin everything! As things are planned righy now in my mind, the next should be Sheshan..that is the other course i have with more data available to make an accurate work. But..just to talk a bit..another fantastic golf course, mainly in terms of environment, is the Red course at El Salam in Morocco. It looks like an enormous garden into the palace of a king..and actually it is! I bet it would be a great fun to recreate it (having the proper stuff in the editor, possibly...) But the truth is that all these courses offers some good reason to recreate it. TPC Kuala Lumpur, for example, is another course otrageously gorgeous..but i realized how much nice looking it is only checking it carefully..i honestly always undervaluated and misjudged it, before. Anyway..i'm really excited about all these projects Tonight i'll start all the misuration work on Nine Bridges..it will be a long one but i know if i have the patience to do it carefully, then the rest of the work will be a lot easier. Well..i'll post some update, when i'll have something to share

For me personally I would Just love to get the rest of the pga courses on the schedule and then worry bout fictional courses I’m still working on Silverado but it’s kinda being a pain lately for some reason my google maps has stopped working and it’s kinda infuriating I’m getting a rough draft done right now then will work on getting it down to as precise as I possibly can

There are great flyovers on their site. I considered doing this but never started. Looking forward to it.

There are great flyovers on their site. I considered doing this but never started. Looking forward to it. Hi! Yes, the site is and will be really helpful. The good material i found here and there helped me a lot to decide about from what course to start. I'm also collecting lot of pictures and useful stuff..i think there is everything to do a good work, if i'll be good enough to do it But for sure is an interesting and pretty difficult course to make. Is a bold course, especially about bunkers. There are also a lot of important elevation changes (the course actually plays downhill from the clubhouse to the limits of the property in almost every direction) and the first and main difficulty has been that this course required to be placed accordingly in the editor, cause is very long, from south to north (1,07 miles, more than 1,7 kms) and large enough to create issues to place it accordingly to the real north. I spent a not so little amount of time today just to understand where to place it exactly to let it fit perfectly into the available square. But i did it in a satisfying way, in the end. In the next days i'll decide also what theme to use. But the course features a vaste, huge majority of conic trees (i don't know what kind of trees they are, unfortunally i'm awful in botanic ) but i must admit the best fitting trees are in the autumn theme or in the rustic. I'll study way better the whole thing while i'll taking all the needed measures, then i'll decide. I have time to make this choice, but i think it will be one of these two. I'm really excited about this work. I feel it as a great challenge and i must admit i absolutely love it. I only hope to be good enough to make some justice to this beautiful course For sure i'll ask often for some help to the most experienced designers we are lucky to have

As i said, i spent these days collecting pics and useful material of every kind. I'm really satisfied. With some patience and a bit of luck i find and collected almost 550 pics of every kind, with different light, in different seasons even of those zones relatively unknown of the course. If before i was optimistic, now i'm totally sure to have everything to make a good work. Is just all on me. I believe this course totally deserves his place in the world top 100 reached some year ago. Is smart, is nice looking, is various, is bold! If i could have the right stuff in the editor, also the houses and the various buildings would deserve dozens of hours spent trying to recreate them..but i'm pretty sure the course will need A LOT of work. The course itself is made by two loops of nine holes. The first, named "The Creek" goes from West to North (and return) of the property. The second is named "Highlands" and goes from South to West (and return). Although the most famous hole is the 18, cause his island green and the risk&reward offered, after i checked lot of times the whole course, now i personally believe that the best holes are the 8 and the 11, that shares also the green with the 15. This is a course full of slopes, often so intense to seem almpost fictional, as for the bold bunkering, sometimes extremely impressive. Is a course imagined to be played on the strong wind, typical in JeJu Island, with every hole totally surrounded by trees (asian maples, mainly), although thry are actually never in play, and flowers. Is a lot colored and i loved every second of this first phase of study and research. Now that i started seriously to work on it (i simply created the fairway and 3 of thw 4 bunkers of hole 1 ), i'm realizing what kind of incredible work is required to create a real course without a Lidar map. Is simply unbelievable. So..i don't know how many hours it will require..but i'll try to do my best to obtain a good result for the community Meanwhile..some pic of the real stuff, just to tease you guys a bit. Cause this course is simply gorgeous!! And this is hole 1, a view from the tee. And then my work until now (it will be a great, long work. And it will be fun)

Excited for this... looking like you’ve got a good start! :D I'll be slow as a day with no music..even cause the course offered very little referring points to start..if you look the satellite map you can see how distant the clubhouse is from the first hole, for example..and how particular is the routing, with that big "hole" full of trees and hills between the two loops of nine..and for sure i'll ask for advices quite often, cause i'm anyway a rookie designer (i released just a fictional course!) and i have a lot of things still to learn! But i can say the first fairway is shaped almost perfectly (or at least it seems to be, after every misuration ) and i have good pics and videos to catch slopes, bunkers, tees, every tree, tournament pins, everything...And i'm fully aware that there are a lot of great guys here ready to help me if i ask.. So...i'm just outrageously happy about this project. Cause this course is beautiful and cause is a course we need as community..and cause this thing to try to recreate something with my hands, trying to do the best i can, is a so exciting challenge!! I'm a bit afraid only because soon or later i should restart to work, in these weeks, now that the lockdown is going to end..and if i should struggle to find a work here (i'm a bartender in pubs) i could be forced to leave again my home and my pc to find a work somewhere else..maybe for months, who knows it. But..i already decided that if i should be forced to leave with the work staying at a good point (at least with all the course correctly routed, or something like this), at that point i'll ask for sure if someone else who use a pc wants the file and all the material i collected, just to finish it and to don't let this course die on my pc. Anyway..i sincerely hope to finish it by myself. Oh..Thank you for your support!!

Glad to see somebody is going to give this the proper treatment. There are a few course designs named Nine Bridges but they are pretty much all trash and none even follow the real routing.

The pics of this course look beautiful! Sure wish we could get those super sharp bunker lips in the designer. I’m interested to see how those particular contours turn out. I love the pic of you progress on hole one! So much attention to detail! Really hope you are able to finish this!

The pics of this course look beautiful! Sure wish we could get those super sharp bunker lips in the designer. I’m interested to see how those particular contours turn out. I love the pic of you progress on hole one! So much attention to detail! Really hope you are able to finish this! I'll finish it. For sure, unless something really important should ever change suddenly in my life but, as already said, in that case i would simply offer all my work and data to someone else. But the most i work on it, most pics and videos i collect, the most i believe this course is really, really simply beautiful..not only for the challenge or for the course itself , but because there is a fantastic flora to recreate and a savage sculpting work waiting for me..and is a shame i can't have more fitting buildings..but well. Of course, is actually incredibly hard (slow, to better say) to do everything in the correct way without a Lidar help. But..i already finished 3 holes, with correct elevation changes, distances and bunkers positions, they misses only all the (huge) micro sculpting work and all the planting, but i'll do these things as the last things..or later, anyway. I wish to complete first 9 holes, before. Then i broke my right hand 2 weeks ago..and i tried, but i just can't use the mouse with my left hand...too slow..too frustrating. So i'm stucked in these days, but i hope to restart soon. And..yes..those bunkers are exactly what i'm the most concerned about. I well know there are limitations in the editor, but i think that with patience and learning new things (and asking too) from the most experienced and skilled designers i will handle in some way the whole thing. I don't know if i'll be fast enough to complete the work before the release of the new game..i'll try, obviously, but i'm more interested to do a really accurate work..even if this could mean to release the course only for the new game. If i can do a good work, we could have a great course for our community and is the only thing that really matters, for me. I'll share some pic when i'll have something interesting enough to be shared or if i should need some help

Oh!! Side note, if someone should ever be interested. Always in South Korea there is another course named Nine Bridges, but this course is not on the Jeju Island, is near Seoul and, from the pics i found, guys please believe me and go to check for it, this course is named "Haesley Nine Bridges" and is really something.
