Well I made the cut last week - which always means I miss it the next week - plus it's a major, where I always miss the cut too........
......and not wanting to upset the balance of the world, I've done the same (shite) again.......
Utterly depressingly bad -8 and -7 for a comfortable MC.
A still terrible -9 and -8 to finish.....
Decent varied setup from Tyler - but as much as I normally love Matt F's courses, this one really just didn't do it for me - probably due to the lumpy-as-f fairways throughout (while he normally has smooth-as-f courses) leading to those lovely red slopes - both sidehill and uphill - on a large number of shots.
Play well all.

Course was awesome and challenging without going over the edge green complex wise. Those greens were some of the best I've seen. -45 or so should win but you got to make those tricky short benders to do so which I yacked on.

-10 -7 start for me and a missed cut as I left far too many shots out there

I'm -18 through two after a pair of 61's. Had to birdied the last 3 holes to get there after bogeying 14 and parring 15 (Awful pin)
Some right negative nancies in here re the cut line. -17 made it last week. Are we really suggesting this was easier than that? Don't think i'd even be that surprised if -15 made it.
Nice course. Horrid Greens (but then they all are these days). To be fair i was constantly between clubs and having to thoose between putting 50 feet uphill or chipping onto a downslope so perhaps my POV is skewered a little bit

-10 -8
-18 after two.
I think I might sneak in with that.
Course wasn't that easy. Almost no straight putt out there. You have to get it close to score well. And with the wind blowing a bit in the second round and some rather tricky pin positions I think the course and the setup was worth hosting a Major.

I nearly gave up after the short par 4 in rd 2. Just quickly play thru and take the MC.
So we have an easy birdie with the short par 4. Drive it pin high, left of the green in the rough. Easy chip and putt, but the chip rolls clear off the green. So chip and putt for par. Great, let's make it a 5th MC by 1 stroke (thanks to the dude who posted how many people have missed the cut this year by 1 stroke i now know how many LOL). Staring down yet another MC, I birdie and eagle the last 2 holes to get to -19.
I've missed so many cuts. This was my last try or else I just have to accept I don't belong here. Just can't put together 2 good rounds in a row. The MC by 1 stroke at the Masters was rough. The consecutive MC's since then was enough. Trying to get better instead of giving up. I've missed a ton of cuts but not bad enough to have any demotion marks right now. -19 has to get in, right?...
How I got here was weird. Started in web.com, got better and switched to PC from XBox. Decided to play a promo late last season, did well enough to go to Euro. 6 events left in the season. Barely made the cut through the first 2 playoff events, then finished 4th in the final. So here I am. From web to PGA in 10 events, and just 2 top 5 finishes (no wins) in my life. But by now it was time to either play for nothing each week in PGA or go down to Euro. Why am I here, just to say I play on the PGA? I just hope this week is the start of actually being competitive, and not my peak.

I got it to -46 which is a pretty comfortable clubhouse lead on PS4 but not a score that I can picture that winning after watching my own play. Too many missed putts from the makeable zone. A lot of heart breakers over the edge in round 2 and a couple in round 4, notably the 71st hole, but more often just bad aiming in round 4.
Green complexes were good, but the course was kind of forgettable tee to green. Not a lot of risk / reward decisions. Not a lot to think about off the tee, wide fairways and not a whole lot of strategy needed with regard to approach angles. Definitely a second shot course, keeping your head on straight and getting it under the hole but not too far away was usually possible but not easy. Putter will be an equalizer. Would be surprised if Vitaly or one of the other top putters doesn't get to -50

So I just won the CC-A Qualifying event. Do I need to do anything besides join the PGA society and play this event or do I need to wait for an email or notification that says I qualified and can play? Thanks

Correct - just join the PGA society and play. Need to play first two rounds by Thursday in PGA. No need to wait - although your scores won't appear till Doyley manually adds you to the event.
Congrats and good luck.

Well i hope i make the cut because i played well for the final 36 and got it to -41. 61-61-58-59
3 stabbed the 72nd hole from 20 feet which left a bit of a sour taste (had a 7 footer up the hill for birdie that was meant to move a shade right and just didn't )
But hey, i'll take it.

-12, -7, -13, -5. For -37. Best I’ve played in weeks. Tempo was spot on. My wind play was a bit off but I think I will make the cut and maybe even a top 25. Game is actually fun when the tempo is stable. Good luck!

Kinda wish more alt events were incorporated, but I get it. Obviously we can’t go back to the OG days of parallel Euro and PGA tours with top membership spread between both, but that was fun. Nothing to do but keep grinding each shot and occasionally play controller lottery hoping to catch lightning in a DS4 bottle.

I’ve never felt more uncomfortable putting inside 10 feet as I did this week. Cost me a bunch. Felt like every putt was 10 feet downhill sweeping left or right.
Getting tired of 650 par5s into wind. May as well make them par3s and use the excuse “but we all play the same conditions?!?!” 🤷🏼♂️
Lipped for eagle on hole 72 otherwise might have had an outside chance of a top10? -39 here.
I’m enjoying rocket league far more these days so these will likely be my only rounds till next week. 🤞🏻 the new game isn’t a repeat of this.
