This weeks course is from sharky21. The last time we had a course by Danny on tour there was bedlam, there was chaos everywhere, controllers were snapped, dogs were kicked, kids were screamed at. Danny was responsible for at least 7 divorces, 5 mental health breakdowns and 3 people swearing off video games for life. I have to admit, I thought it was funny when tour members grabbed torches and pitchforks and chased Danny all over his own course. Every time I look back on that day, the memory is speeded up and the Benny Hill there tune plays in the background. Danny got away though, assumed a new identity and went into hiding and all because the cut line was -4. People are strange, anyway, While I was visiting Stiffknee Knob, North Carolina, I discovered Danny’s new identity( what sort of name is Curley Pubes anyway) and after promising him never to reveal his new identity(oops), I persuaded him to design again. For shits and giggles, I told him to make a course harder, tougher and more challenging that the last one, a course that would bring kornholers to their knees while screaming nooooooooo. A course where a -4 cut line would like a walk in the park and he failed miserably, instead we got Pine Shores, oh well, I guess no riots this week, enjoy and have fun.

My round crashed and burned as early as the 2nd or 3rd hole. Lots of downhill, tail wind if I recall, was not arsed to try and guess the drop down to the midway layup patches and whacked driver aiming for the bunker to the right of the green. Pushed it right, missed the whole goddamn bunker, down the cliffside and out of bounds. Reloaded, tin cupped another one out of bounds. Third time is a charm and I 'birdied' the hole on my 3rd attempt.
Took another 4-5 holes to work my score back to even par, quit soon after. Doubt i'll finish up

Having played this course before, me thinks it’s gonna be tough. But I’ve said that before and everyone else has killed it so we’ll see. My pitchfork is in the bag next to the putter.....

Played all 4 early again this week. Trying to make a run at it again...but there were more mistakes this time, more putts on the edge, couple of horrible bogeys. For now I'll sit here and hope it plays harder for everyone and brings scores down as a whole. I finished with a good number overall, top 10 should be in the cards at least.
-13 round 1 after opening with a bogey on the first hole. My lesson from last week, dwell on that bogey as much as possible and think what could have been

I had a little purple patch on this tour around the turn of the year. Earned a promo mark with a nice top ten and made six cuts on the bounce to keep it, but ever since then I've been up and down like the Villa. Solid one week, hammer house of horror the next, I was just wishing for some consistency! Then the last two weeks I've found some, only problem is I've been consistently terrible. 3 red marks picked up and only one missed putt away from it being 4. Back against the wall now, I'm potentially only one more horror round away from packing up my drinks cabinet and collection of ties and skulking off back to the Challenge Circuit with my tail between my legs. I really don't want that. Where does a giraffe wear a tie anyway, at the top or bottom of his neck? Asking for a friend....
Round one after work tonight, I really need to stop the rot. Full hearts, clear eyes, can't lose. Hopefully.

Bogey free after two rounds which is what you need on this puppy. Elevation and wind gave me some grinding pars. So so -6 followed by a real solid -11. Think I’ll cut watch for a few days before playing the 3rd. Good luck to all yet to play.

That’s a great second round score, the second round was set up to be a bit awkward.

That’s a great second round score, the second round was set up to be a bit awkward. I hope you're right! I had a terrible start to my first round. A slow in to the deep stuff followed by a fast which left me a treacherous long downhill putt. Putt, chip, putt, bogey. My swing mostly behaved after that but I struggled to make much progress and paid the price when the swing decided to stop behaving and I dropped shots at 15 and 16. A birdie at 18 stopped me from pulling the knot on my tie a bit tighter, but not a good start. Then the second round started much better, birdie at 1! Went for the second green off the tee and got a terrible bounce from in front of the bunker to go careering off down the mountain, back to square one. At this point I'd pretty much lost all hope but I kept going and it paid off. Birdied 3 of the next 4 to reach the turn at -4 and then played the back 9 really well. Hit greens, holed putts, good combination! 69 and 61 for -14 at half way. Not sure that will make the cut but I don't think that score will inflict further damage, at the very least I'll still be here next week. That'll do for me

That’s a great second round score, the second round was set up to be a bit awkward. Thanks. I think playing the first two back to back without pause helped the improvement in round two and got me a bit into a zone. It’s a tough course with four calculations on many of the approaches. Figuring out lie, length/elevation, wind and green rollout/slope was needed on numerous holes. A real good design and well chosen.

The security on this tour sucks, how the could miss a sneaking mammoth I will never know. Round one and my typical score but not my typical game, I took every risk possible and it was a blast. I hit the ball well but again was let down by my putter. -4 for round one.

So I just got promoted because I won the PGA qualifying event so I get to play in the PGA Championship this week. And I know I can’t play in this tournament this week for a legit score but am I able to play the event just to get a practice even in? Like say after the cut play all four rounds just to get my bearings on a tough course like this? Thanks and good luck to everyone

So no problem at all playing the in game society rounds for practice

I’ve been bleeting on for some time about battling a wonky swing so this weeks tournament was not one I’ve been looking forward to... - lots of elevation - danger everywhere - side hills / up hill lies on every fairway - a wonky swing line - slopes on greens
But we’re part of the tour so we shouldn’t pick and choose our tournaments. Hit it to 4ft above the hole on the first, missed the birdie, missed the par putt back up the hill and continued to miss putts until I recovered on the back nine to finish -7, similar story on round 2. -14 won’t make the cut but it’s better than I expected. I’m off to work on my putting. Enjoy
