After back to back subpar weeks, I actually put together a couple of good rounds to make it to the weekend!
I've really been enjoying the "links" style courses in the game recently, and this plays as a true links. Lots of tight fairways with well placed bunkers, lead to large green complexes with a lot of slope and runoff areas. Have to be accurate off the tee and play the undulations of the green in order to get close.
First round was steady as she goes, without much stress and resulted in -9.
Second round had the potential to be really low but some missed putts (especially on 17 and 18) landed me even with the first round at -9 and -18 at the cut.
Really enjoyed the course, and looking forward to the weekend to see if I can finally get 4 good rounds on the card.

Best 1st round for me since coming to EURO. Very solid -9 on a quite tough but fun course. Holes 12-15 play very long especially. Good luck to all.

Started off with a 3putt bogey, but managed to squeak out a -8 63 in round 1. Also, I had an ace, it was incredibly lucky. -8 in round 2 and that should get me in for the weekend.

So so first round of -6 compensated by a nice -14 in round 2 puts me at -20; happy with that and I hope I can now avoid a collapse like last week! 😂😂😂
Good luck all, Frans
PS love the course!

Saw your -14 up on the board, super impressive! I should’ve been at least -11 in round two but I’ll take my -9/-9 and happily walk to the tee box on Saturday.

I melted down hard in the fourth round last week at Forhaven and didn’t do much in round 1 here. A -4 with a handful of ugly bogeys and again I’m gonna need a strong second round to survive the cut. I’ll wait a little bit to see what that line is looking like.

How is it I always manage to slice or hook my shots just enough that if there's one tiny bunker anywhere near my target I hit it dead center every time? Managed to do that on about 6 straight holes in the first round. Missed a 5 foot birdie on 14 then 3-putted for bogey on 15. Finished the first round with a 66 and I had to birdie the last 3 to do that, second round needs to be at least like a 63 probably if I'm going to make the cut, assuming similar conditions.

After being the very last person cut last week after a couple nice tournaments I really want to play well on this one...but links aren't really my strong suit. Anyway...i started off with 2 ho hum pars I birdied 7 of the next 8 holes and was feeling really good but then came my typical wall where i just can't seem to really go low. On 14 i had a long approach in and a very fast swing took it too far and left me with a very difficult downhill put that had a big red slope. I putted that thing as slow as i could and it got to the edge and just trickled over and down towards the hole and i thought i just hit the putt of my life but sadly it slid just over the edge of the cup and then kept going right off the green and made my only bogey of the day. I then lipped out a 7 foot putt for birdie on 18 and i'm left with an opening -8. Currently sitting in 13th so another solid showing should get me to the weekend.

Well, second round was going OK, -4 through 9, then on 10 I missed a 10 foot birdie and a 7 foot par, then on 11 I missed a 7 foot birdie and a 9 foot par. Made it up on the next 2 holes but parred the rest, missing 3 putts by inches on the high side. So -9 will be a certain missed cut, as usual due to missing a bunch of short putts.

-6 for round 2. Played okay but I felt a little unlucky since there were at least 4, maybe 5 holes where I NEEDED a 3 iron and I don't normally carry that. Next round it could be totally different with the wind.

Sitting at -17 thru 2. Should be safe to play this weekend. Had back to back bogeys late in R1 after good looking shots turned out bad. Threw some darts in R2 to get back in the mix. Good luck all
