Our schedulers are so lucky right now that the regulars who post here aren't the type to usually complain about course selection.

I managed to birdie #5 in Rd 1 hooked a 5w around the trees and went through the trees to about 4 ft - there are 3 par 4s, which play more like 5s - I think #10 is the most difficult as there's about 80y of rough in front.of the green. I putted really well for up until the 2nd par 5 - I then started missing everything, -10 with no bogeys.

Had a decent opening round of -10 to start. Then 2 bogies on the front 9 of Round 2 and ended up -6.
Will need 2 flawless last rounds to go for the 3 peat. Don't see it happening this week.

Not a great course to not know how to putt, only just managed to stay in it after being pestered by some rusty 95 swings. Line is straighter than ever though oddly. Hole 5 isn't that bad, theres 4 or 5 holes that are much worse. But hey, whoever finds a way on those wins this week. Just flop it in guys. Easy

Didn't hook my tee shot and ended up in some deepish rough which forced a 5H shot to get back on the fairway and then pitched it in from 77yds. out. Ended up paying for it later as I did bogey a couple of the unreachables but still ended up with a decent enough -7. RCR's still bore me to death but it was actually almost a little fun to play a course that was so hilariously not set up to even slightly accommodate beginner clubs.

I don’t think I’ve ever played a tournament so quickly. I’m usually very fast in my play style at an hour and 15-20 minutes. I finished this nonsense in less than an hour. Maybe golf purists will enjoy this but as soon as I loaded the event and saw the course, knew immediately I had no interest. If I hadn’t been trapped with my family over a month and eager for a little me time, I might not have played.
Why aren’t these qualifying events in the TGCT special events societies? I know we are a super minority here on this tour, but it felt I went to the real Bethpage and rented clubs and used range balls to play. Zero fun in my opinion.
Round 4 was the biggest joke. Pins tucked 5 paces over a sand trap.
No idea my final score. Think I was -25 or so after 3 rounds and might have gotten -2 or -3 last round? I couldn’t turn off my console quick enough.
I’m done whining because nobody really cares, and in the grand scheme of things it’s just a game. I play to relax and have a little virtual competition. Don’t care about realistic scores or if I win. But when a setup clearly puts the game out of reach with our club set, it’s a poor experience.

An eagle, 10 birdies and 2 bogeys, and I didn't birdie the par 5s either in Rd 2.

Apologies guys.. I ment to post in here earlier.
This is not a week for beginner clubs.... It's set up as a qualifier for the PGA... so with masters clubs in mind.

No big deal, it’s a challenge and everyone is under the same conditions. Not sure why special events society isn’t used for these qualifiers though.

Bogey free through 2 rounds with a pair of 8 unders. Seems like birdie 3 or 4 in a row then par 4 in a row. A bit disappointed with that R2 score as I had 6 or 7 putts around 15 feet that missed by half a cup width.
Swing was all over the place on the front 9 of R1 and had to revert back to looking at the controller when swinging like I used to with master clubs. Doesn't help when its a guessing game of will a side slope stance effect the ball or not.
Haven't minded the challenge so far, makes a change from wedge approach shots. Will set a target of -30, guessing -25 will be around top 10 if that 4th round is tough.

Round 2 felt a bit weird as my lack of practice means all the long par 4's surprised me in round 1. In round 2 the surprise was gone but was replaced with the fear of knowing how easily a good hole can be wiped out without having to play bad.
Started nice with a hole out for eagle on #1. Put in two or three long birdie putts as well. Did bogey 5 this time around but that was it. Put up a -9 for the round so I'm actually looking a bit more competitive than usual through 36 despite 3 bogies already.

Hate to say I might head back to Q school. I see 27 spots are opening up for the PGA. I know a lot of the dead weight are finally getting their scores removed and making it as fair as possible other than the Master Clubs difficulty between all 3 platforms.
Will have to make a decision.

Shot -8 round three with skating rink greens and then stubbed my toe in round 4 with -4 . Another week with lousy results, i'll be lucky to finish in the top 5.
