Guess I'll take a turn at getting one of these started.
After another missed cut last week, I put in a LOT of practice rounds, both on Forehaven-on-Sea and other tracks. I also 'found' the zoom feature and decided that it makes putting easier, if taking a bit to get used to. In any case, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the practice paid off, carding a 67 in round 1 and a 63 in round 2. Sitting at -16 and am pretty confident that I'll be around for the weekend this time. Cool links course, but man, talk about a lot of long iron approaches. Having done so many practice rounds probably paid off, as I played a lot of shots to land short of the green and run up. Nice track despite the craziness of needing a 2w into a par 4 after a nearly 300 yard drive...

-16 is easily in. I shot -13 through 2 rounds and probably squeaking in as well. Lots of -9 to -12 scores thru 2 rounds on the PC. Course is great and has some teeth

Really enjoyed the course and I was doing well until I hit it out of bounds on 15...ugh I feel so stupid about that. That's 2 shots just thrown away. Still -6 wasn't a bad score on this course and I see chances cause this course can really get you if you play too quick or just land in a bad spot. Have fun!

Solid start for me: -8 & -10 for -18 halfway
Could have been better if I hadnβt hit it in the water on the 18th... πππ
Lovely course; really scored well on the front nine in both rounds and then just tried to avoid stupid mistakes on that tough back nine.
Good luck to all, Frans

Tempo is so gone for me I couldn't even get under par after 2 rounds. So disappointing. Good luck this week guys

Another subpar week for me. First round was just a struggle... I think I ended the round with three straight bogeys for Even Par. Round two was much better with a -7, but too little too late.
That course, with the length (how many par 4's over 500 yards can there possibly be on one course!) is just a beast... definitely exposed my long iron play for what it is, weak sauce.

Quite happy with -7 for round 2. Gets me to -13 after 2. Got to wait and see if it's enough but it should have a chance. Do you guys also feel that the 2nd 9 plays alot longer and harder or is it just me?

Round 1 in the books with a -2. I thought I was carrying my momentum from last week into this with a birdie on 1. Then had about a 20 foot eagle on 2 that was dead center on line but wasnβt sure it had enough steam to get there. Last foot it broke a full cup and as it trickles by the edge it kept trickling for 10-12 more feet. Birdie putt looked straight swing line was very straight but upon contact it jumped dead right and missed. Story of my round as these are the roughest greens Iβve ever played. Rolls and bounces completely unpredictable. The final FU was my 2W into 18 going for the green for 2 into the wind...hit the green about right in the middle and somehow rolled off the back and uphill about 5 ft to an OB? WTF?
Gonna take a miracle to make the weekend

Round 2 was much better...my approach game was much better but still getting tricked up by these bumpy greens and missed some easy birdies. I got to -5 through 9 but hit a lull on the back and was -7 under heading into the dreaded 18. I said I needed a miracle to make the weekend...after the fiasco last round I clubbed down and thatβs was a mistake as I didnβt even carry the water and instead hit the wood and took a great bounce over and onto the green where I converted the 10 foot putt for eagle and a -9. So that may not be enough of a miracle to get me y to o the weekend at -11 but still a very fortunate event after seemingly every 50/50 bounce prior did not end in my favor

Shot a -5 in the first round with a few good shots and a couple bad bogeys. Figured Iβd have no chance to make it to the weekend but now Iβm seeing the course challenged a lot of others. Iβm gonna wait til a little later in the week to play round 2. Iβve lost my groove lately and am hoping to get it back before trying to make the cut.
Cool course though, a little long and wonky but overall a lot of fun and the vibe/setting that itβs created for itself fits the Euro Tour well.

Got drilled by a couple of OB's from inexplicable VF/F swings out of nowhere resulting in a double and a triple bogey. Will probably bring me back down to earth and a missed cut at -11. Oh well

Got off to a good start by holing out for eagle on the first hole. Ended up in entirely too many bunkers off the tee down the stretch but finished with a respectable -9. Had some putting trouble in round 2 until I eagled the 8th, but I followed that up by catching the hill on the drive on 9, then 3-putting for double bogey from 19 feet. Struggled at putting for a bit longer, then holed out a flop for an eagle on 13. Followed that one up by rolling my approach on 15 all the way over the green, then doing the same with the chip, and bogeying. Then on 16 I had a slow downswing, put my flop in the bunker, and bogeyed again. Ended up at -2, probably blew it in the second round and will miss the cut.

Oh my lord lol, the amount of work I'm doing for the mediocre scores this week is crazy. -4 round 1 and -1 round 2 haha. I hit 50% GIR round 1. This course can be really tough, and I played it completely wrong. Next week!
