64-63 for -15 at halfway.
Swung it much better. Some clumsiness around the greens means i'll be sweating the cut. Missed a 5 footer & parred 14 from a perfect drive in R2 which is pretty damn poor. I think i might just make it though?
Don't think i need to comment much further on the conditions. If ever there was a week to turn down the wind machine this was it. It's just not a good fit. Are we ever going to have a calm week again?

Always find Quail Hollow a grind with its length. 62, 63 for -17, and another 63 for R3.
Had a hole in one with a 3i in R1 on 6 which was a nice little highlight.

All I can do is laugh. Grind out two -9s. Throw it into rest mode and walk the dog. Come back and can’t swing straight for the final two. Think I was -23 after all 4 rounds. Hahahahaha. Love ya HB.

Weird week for me. Not a fan at all of Quail Hollow IRL and never played it well in game but I played solid enough golf through 63 holes to probably be in position to win. Made no mistakes and made birdies when I needed to. But I played the last 6 holes even and didn't even end up taking the clubhouse lead on PS4 and finished -40. 3 putt bogey on 17 from 10 feet really ended me.
Played the first 6 holes really poor all week, never got through those better than -2 I think and usually was at -1.
As for the very high winds complaint. I actually felt that round played as fairly as a very high could ever play. Would love to see any instances of this not being true, but I never had any case of tree trouble due to wind and all the long par 4's were plenty manageable because of the direction I tested it at. Early scores look completely fine for a tough setup.
Winner should be at or below -50 again and cut shouldn't get above the mid-teens which is what I'm looking for. Didn't expect people to miss shooting 61-61 and missing the cut.

I finished -39. Bogey free all week but r3 in the low wind i just couldnt get it going. Moderate greens suck balls on a course that is firm. If i put 1 tap of loft on it came up short and 1 tap of deloft it ended up going 20ft past the hole and never got it close enough to give myself a fighting chance finishing -7 on the easiest setup was mega frustrating thats normally a -12 at worst but -11 -11 and -10 in rd 4 was solid enough. Been really fighting my game for weeks now and starting to see light at the end of the tunnel. Was coming out the blue at the bottom on way too many shots and we all know it causes massive squirts and pulls on both putts and approach shots and when your missing the hole on the wrong side its always a challenge. Well done for keeping the greens the same throughout because even though the same speed they do play slightly different according to the firmness. Dont know why but they do and just when you think youve got it the ball roll on the softer greens does make putts take more borrow. Quail is always tough and to go bogey free was a plus but one eagle in four rounds really isnt gonna get it done.(the sacrifice of taking the 225 out) but hey ho still creeping up the rankings slowly, slowly Good luck all left to play. Stay safe!

Played a bunch of practice rounds this week and rarely made -double digits. Same for the tourney -7,-10,-8,-9 for -34 total. It’s just a signature Aces course, which seems to always put you in between clubs and tough to put it close. Hopefully I make the cut it’s been awhile. Good news is I’ve had a solid week tempo wise. I still am a bit shell shocked and don’t trust it yet so I find myself still trying to control it which causes poor lines. I think if it stays how it is I could have some confidence going forward. As far as VH winds, I really don’t mind them as long as they aren’t constantly in your face. Tyler is correct in that they didn’t really affect playability that round.

Finished 59-63 for -35
Round 3 was good - slow into the water at 7 was the only blip.
Round 4 - Poor Front 9, bookended by bogies @ 1 & 9. Back 9 i putted the lights out for 7 birdies.
I'll take it. Swing is improving. Touch around the greens wasn't there this week and that's where most of the shots went. Just hope i make the cut.
ps - my issue with the setups isn't so much the occasional VH winds. It's the neverending High ones. That's got to be close to 15/20 rounds with winds High or higher in the last 5 weeks? Some courses just don't need it.

This is your problem... stop worrying about lowering the scores each week and worry more about creating an enjoyable experience. While the VH wind in round 1 may have been "fine"... it probably isn't enjoyable to the majority of the people in here.

While the VH wind in round 1 may have been "fine"... it probably isn't enjoyable to the majority of the people in here. I'm good with winners shooting 40-under and I'm good with winners shooting 69-under. Ideally we avoid the 70's or beyond as that's just a bit too much arcade for even the most lax golf fan. Those of us with tempo issues are out of those events by the 3rd hole. The key is a nice variety for all involved.
Keep in mind Tyler just took over and has already adjusted based on feedback. There is no perfect setup - you could pick the perfect conditions 3 weeks straight and someone will complain that there is a lack of variety. There's no winning so as long as you can get out and golf and compete against your peers and be tested (this is the PGA) I'm a happy guy.

I have absolutely no clue how to play in VH winds haha. It's just comical. Probably should practice or something! If I didn't miss 2 or 3 5 footers in R2, I'd have had a respectable score in that round. Just awful golf all around. Going to have to get motivated if I'm going to get out of strike zone every week.

This is your problem... stop worrying about lowering the scores each week and worry more about creating an enjoyable experience. While the VH wind in round 1 may have been "fine"... it probably isn't enjoyable to the majority of the people in here. A big part of the enjoyable experience from feedback I've been viewing in here for years is reasonable scoring, so that is part of it. While I do want the tournament to be an enjoyable experience, part of the enjoyment on the PGA Tour should be challenging your game against the best players on the toughest courses. Go look at the 1st round leaderboard. Like it or not, very high winds is really the only way on the current version of the game to really toughen things up and it also tightens up the leaderboard substantially. I like it because I think most players on PGA can still grind out a 64 on very high winds but you're not going to have people go shoot 55 easily. On the low winds round, plenty of people will still shoot 64 but there will also be a bunch of 56's probably. Very high winds is the very firm greens of TGC1, it has to be used some to create any sort of test on what is supposed to be the top tour on the game. We don't need to equate enjoyable to difficulty or shooting low scores, because that's just never been the case around here. And 99.99% of the courses on this game will produce winning scores in the -60's and -70's and cuts in the -20's without high winds. I'm really looking forward to people complaining about next week at Sand Hills with 2 very high's. On a course the designer recommended never playing under high winds. On a course that regularly blows 30 mph in real life. The winner would probably shoot -72 with low winds but I guess that would be an enjoyable experience needing to birdie nearly every hole to make the cut and never missing a fairway or green.

Needed this rubbish to happen in Rd1 didn't I? then a very fast from no where in to water on 16 for a triple bogey, +2 finish for the round, now I am obligated to play another 18 crap holes to stop to many XX getting beside my name, I hate this game sometimes, I really do.
