A quick 36 and done for me - utterly clueless throughout.
Really not sure why we need VH winds at a tree lined parkland course.....
And I've thought of a fantastic idea for HB to implement for course designers in the next game.........it would be something to assist the golfer in aiming at the centre of the fairways off the tee, rather than in the middle of various woods.......they could call it something like a "waypoint" that you could set as a target in the fairway.....would be much better than (regular - clearly random) targets in the trees..........I'm sure designers would find it very useful too........
. . . . . . .. . . . . . . oh wait.......

I played okay.
-11 (that was good in those winds) -6 -9 -6
-32 overall.
-17 should make the cut. From there on i would say my score will be worse than the average. Maybe around 50th in the end?

Checked the first round settings and nearly fell out of my seat laughing. Love this course and the challenge of it but come on man. Super narrow fairways with no light rough and tree lined holes, “you know what this needs?!?! VERY HIGH WINDS!!!”
Laughable setup. I don’t know why I keep coming back to play these rounds, they’re literally the only rounds I play anymore on this game now and each week is more disappointing than the last.
I’ll probably end up playing these again for unknown reason. I guess I’m nostalgic for the concept of the Tours but man this is starting to feel like a chore. I miss the good old days where PGA setup was difficult because of the course challenge and good condition settings that matched the course.

I miss the good old days where PGA setup was difficult because of the course challenge and good condition settings that matched the course. That was called TGC2. The ability to change designer firmness, speeds, and lighting continues to be an on-going issue despite changes in schedulers.

VH winds here and 187 greens in R1 in TST.
I've never been more afraid of getting started for the week

-5 and -8, assuming I'm missing the cut at -13. Missed a 5ft putt on the 18th R2 lol, hope it doesnt cost me.
Nothing to add that hasn't already been said about the conditions. Same issues every week.

I'm going to attempt to suggest, without trying to cause offence at the organisers, that the goal, by setting these conditions, is to try and make it more difficult to shoot stupid low scores for the "top tour".
Sadly, the bi-product of that is, it widens the gap between the guys who don't spend their entire lives on video games, and the guys that do. The guys that know exactly where their ball will land before they hit the shot.
Secondly, and this is a personal opinion, it also makes the game extremely tiresome. Do I enjoy shooting -50 and finishing 46th? I enjoy shooting -50, who doesn't enjoy playing good golf and scoring well. Do I enjoying shooting -30 and finishing 12th? Not really. Maybe I just don't have the patience for this game any more.
Kids were in bed by 7:45. I finished 4 rounds by 9:15. You can expect to compete at that speed. But I don't have the desire or motivation to spend 5 minutes on a shot to hit it 10 yards left or right because I got a random tempo downswing.

First round completed with -9. Very happy with that start in tough conditions.

Excellent first lap. Lunch break. Bad second lap.
-10 -6
Two wishes: pass the cut and the API.

Probably an off week since I won't enjoy the grind this week.

I can understand the frustration of playing in tough conditions and not feeling you can put in the time to grind and compete at the highest level, but shouldnt that be the purpose of the highest tour? I think most would agree that the best players arent being identified in a week where everyone can go shoot -50 compared to a tournament where if you reach -40 or -45 you've played a great week.

A PS4 game, by definition, has to be fun. It's not like we get financial reward if we win lol.
