Not sure if I made the cut, first round was pretty bad, I probably should have done a practice round or something. If -17 makes it, I played pretty well over the last 36 and might have a shot at a top 20

I'm not sure what happened with any of the setup this week. This is what I had documented and Doyley had sent back to me at one point. So something got mixed up somewhere.
Zurich R1 R2 R3 R4 Wind Speed Medium High High Low Wind Direction Northwest North Northeast East Time of Day Default Dawn Dawn Afternoon Weather Default Clear Overcast Clear Green Speed Fast Fast Default Fast Green Firmness Very Firm Firm Firm Very Firm Terrain Firmness Soft Moderate Firm Firm
Was supposed to be 1 187 round, no very high wind rounds and no noon rounds.

Don't beat yourself up, I should have published at 177 speeds and there wouldn't have been any issues. I would suggest staying away from changing the time of day, it's a crapshoot. When a designer changes the inclination and orientation of the sun, afternoon isn't exactly what you think. Sometimes it just moves it around the sky at the same level. And lighting takes a long time to get right. Everything is designed around it. Unless it's a distraction, just leave it as is. But those are just suggestions.

And I'll add the firmnesses that you set, both fairway and green are perfect for holding the green on 9. Don't @ me.

Not sure what the mixup was - it's possible the spreadsheet/form we use goofed up or it's possible there was shenanigans w/ HB in-game - sometimes edits etc don't take. One thing I know for 100% sure is that is was not my fault at all. (I'm likely to blame btw, just don't blame me!)

I checked and otherwise the document and future tourneys look good, so just something with this week. Thankfully I actually thought round 3 very high winds played really well and fair with the direction. Far from a horrible setup as there were tons of good scores out there.

I normally play two rounds in a sitting to start off the week, but I am not used to playing that well here on PGA, so I am stopping after just one round for now. Par on #1 and #18 and went -15 over the 16 holes in between. Well, round two squared me up to my actual level of play. Short story is I went -5 for the round.
Detailed interpretation is that I still felt I was playing well tee to green, I just had the fast and VF downswings rear their head that I don't usually have quite that badly. Also, I reverted to my normal poor scrambling and putting. Despite the poor round I ALMOST had back to back fairway holeouts on #10 and #11. I also have in full both of my R1 and R2 that I will share in the PGA share thread after the cut happens. blueorfe would appreciate the difference in what tempo issues can contribute to wrecking a round after our TST back and forth in last weeks' TST thread once I share the rounds. Here are my near back to back holeouts (I realize I mis-titled the #10 video):

So, after last weeks dummy/pacifier spitting, toy throwing tantrum, i picked them all up and put them back in the pram. Two -11, bogey free rounds later, i sit on -22 thru 36H, might even make the cut.

Pardon? You could use an Amiga, and still use a mouse. People generally play on PC for the frame rates and GFX niceties, and I suppose the ability to stream and capture professionally. I’m not sure if you’re being serious to be honest 😂 FWIW I don’t care what you use as long as you pass API... you’ve all the tools available to you that any other PC user may have. I don't know why I have to spell everything out for you. I built a great gaming rig because I love the feel of mouse/keyboard gaming. I'm not fond of using a controller. I optimized the PC for a great mouse & keyboard experience with games that require high fps. This is not one of those games so I can live without it. I have 0 interest in using a controller. Some of us can't use a controller because of multiple operations on their thumb. That being said, I still tried and it has some advantages, but coming from a person who has gamed for 25 years + using a mouse and/or keyboard and never used a controller when they came out. I too am fine with a mouse.

Congrats wmr5277 for the tie at the top Thanks. My short game fell apart in my round 4. You would win the cardoff if it came down to it. A lot of players still to finish/tee off however. Hope it holds for you. Nice playing.

Started off with a nice -10 That's right, I'm the man, new swing looking good, aww hell yeah... But apparently you have two play the second round also...all good feelings gone, I suck...had two bogies and couldn't get the swing consistent enough and only went for -5, so -15 after two...that's not going to cut it. I was 49th on ps4 when i got done, but with all the good players still to tee off, I think making the top 65 would be nothing short of a miracle. Guess I'll be practicing Quail Hollow Club for next week...that can be a tough track also. Update on season expectations for me...make a cut. Good luck all.
