Joining us here is relative newcomer Jamesearl, first off lets address the elephant in the room here, despite some early success, including rapid promotion to the Euro Tour, you just followed up your first top 25 finish, with your first missed cut, care to share your thoughts on that?
Well seeing as how I don't have to go out and try to figure out those bedeviling greens I can take a moment. It really hurt a lot more than I thought it would, as I assumed I had no chance upon completing the first rounds, but after some serious scoreboard watching, it almost seemed -10 might actually make it, even as late as Thursday afternoon where I was still hovering around 65th.
Ouch! Missed by one shot, what will you take away from the experience? Seems like a real learning opportunity.
Absolutely, it really drove home the point that on this tour EVERY SHOT MATTERS!!! I could very easily point to the 4 footer I carelessly struck too hard and bounce out, or the 2 footer wicked breaker I didn't bother to take 2 seconds to line up. Granted I did nail a couple putts that I had no business making to kind of counter balance the mistakes. This environment demands your total focus on each and every shot!
Well put, albeit fairly obvious. I hate to say it, but maybe missing the cut will do ya some good, plus it saved you from another 3rd and 4th round meltdown, which has become your MO. Ha! Just bustin your balls new guy.
Yeah yeah, tou cher, just make sure you don't make yourself scarse when its time to conduct a victory interview. Screw you guys! I'm goin home!!!

Andi Smith joins us, HI ANDI, HOW YOU DOING?Hi Bob, i'm not too bad, have you recovered yet?, plus I told you to behave, peeing in the pool was not good Bob, not good at all. OH MAN, MY BAD?, WHAT A PARTY, I WAS ONLY DRINKING LEMONADE, WELL SO I THOUGHT.Ha Ha Ha, that was acids doing you were certainly not drinking lemonade, lol, YOU SEEMED TO GIVE EVRYONE A GOOD LAUGH?Well that's me, lol, don't think my superman speedos and superman armbands went down too well, lol , but hey at least I got to beat brionne and chris at pool volleyball , but I lost $5000, against Brionne in the cricket stump challenge, I think he should retire from golf and play cricket, lol , but I must say I enjoyed the sandcastle comp, with a little help from Innocent Zungu, who won the fourth annual project sandman sandcatle contest held at Durbans new beach, I managed to rerplicate Buckingham Palace until some drunken fool stumbled all over it, AH, YEAH I NEED TO APOLOGISE FOR THAT, DON'T I? >:DYEAH I THINK YOU DO BOB , who won the contest anyway? ACID DID, HIS SINGLE BUCKET CASTLE WAS THE ONLY ONE LEFT STANDING.Cool well done acidman. Well at least with the $50 we all put in the hat he can pay off some of his bar bill now, lol. BACK TO GOLF ANDI, HOW WAS ROUND 3?Much the same as round 2 Bob, missed some putts again , shot 63 -9 but I feel with back to back -9's I have shot myself out of contention unless i have a flawless round 4, but we can only hit the little white thing around and see what happens. PLANS NOW THEN ANDI?Going to relax a bit Bob, some things are still a little hazy, I hope I didn't do anything regrettable , but i'm unable to recall at the moment. THANKS FOR YOUR TIME AGAIN ANDI, SEE YOU AFTER ROUND 4?Thanks Bob, oh and change those shorts Bob they stink, lol.

Hello Acid. Calmed the dragon yet? Hello Dick, yes, me and Blaylock sorted it out as grown men.
You shook hands? No we kicked sand at each other. For ten minutes.
Apart from your poor bunker play, how was the rest of the game. Average Dick. I shot a five-under par sixty seven but the rest of the tour are on better drugs than me, Dick. Lets work on that ok.
Ok

Now entering the press tent fresh off an epic final round and a clutch birdie at the 18th to escape the playoff, Tom Morgan.
Holy smokes, Tom. That was just, just....incredible. What a performance!
Not sure I can say it any better, Bob. Clutch shots, clutch putts. After shooting a 3rd round 63 in double-digit winds, I honestly felt I was too far back to challenge for the lead. Brix laid the smack down with a 59 and Garcia posted 60 early to land in a 3-way tie with Gary.
Starting the 4th round, I screwed up the approaches on 1 and 2, edge burnt one and lipped the other, and was standing on the 3rd tee at even and needing to go -14 through the next 16. That's a tall order on most courses, but especially this one. I hadn't sniffed a round in the fifties since a practice run last week.
So, what got you going?
A great approach on 3. Had to lay up to the short fairway as the wind was 11mph SE. Bent a 5-iron into the crosswind and left it perfectly below the ramp that hole was parked upon - 14 footer perfectly straight. Then a cut 3-wood on 4 to a perfect position, 4 iron to 16 feet and a HUGE bender dropped for the bird.
That didn't get the ball rolling though, it got me back on pace, which at that point was all I cared about. My only thought was preserve a top ten finish. I like to be at least -1, preferably -2 or -3 teeing off on the par5 5th and 3 and 4 are tough holes, while 5 and 6 are must-birdie holes. 7 too, but I muffed that one with a long approach.
Now you're standing on the difficult 8th with that front left pin....
And hit the ball about where I do every time - left and long. 23 footer down the hill. I was all over that putt the first three days and couldn't get it to drop. I dialed it in this time. Then a birdie at nine after getting a decent crack at eagle and suddenly I'm 6-under through the round - the best position at the turn I've enjoyed this tournament. Somewhere in the back of my mind the gears started to turn a little bit. Maybe there was a shred of hope.
...Yet, there was a small setback.
Yeah. On the 10th hole. I took a snack break at the turn. Apparently, someone snuck a chicken bone into my twinkies. I didn't even notice it until I was standing over a pretty easy 16 footer and coughed it up into the throat as I was putting. Truly, a choked putt. I suspect Blaylock.
At that point, I felt it was over. I knew I could make a birdie run, but doing the math, it would require all of them - a tie would only get in the playoff and Brix had me on round 3 - And 12 and 17 were still on the scorecard - These holes were absolute nightmares for me all week.
Then you stobbed it on 12...
STOBBED IT. Tap in birdie. Uh oh. Now the adrenaline is flowing a little.
13, 14, & 15 are holes I play very well and did - 3 more birdies.
Hole 16, misplayed the distance. Left it 24 feet short, hole 3 inches down and subtle to quick break at the hole. Played perfect speed and rolled it right in the gut.
Seventeen....
Seventeen, the widowmaker - absolute toughest approach shot on this course for me. I've been everywhere on this green except near the hole. At this point, I know the drill.Birdie or have no probable chance. Hit the best approach yet on this hole and was still 21 feet out on a big break. Man, I hit beautiful putt. I'm not even sure I read it right - It was practically a prayer. Dropped in the side of the hole. Oh snap! 4 way tie.
Eighteen....
Solid tee shot into the wind left me a 4 iron approach. I've been coming up a little too short on this hole in the wind and would have the ball bleed way left of the pin. Not this time. Played the wind, distance, and green slope near perfect and left the ball 13 feet away. Thirteen feet, 4 inches of fall and about half-foot of break separated me from a victory. Make it and win, miss it and lose.
The butterflies had to be churning in the gut...
Not gonna lie, Bob. The knees were knocking. The heart rate was pumping. I stood over that putt for waaayyyy longer than I probably should have. I kept looking at it firm into the hole then I would change my mind and think soft and ride the slope. Ultimately, I went just a touch of firm and buried it. That putt looked like it was in slow motion. I was having visions of it coming up short on the lip, but it fell. And I was euphoric. Biggest putt I ever made on TGCTours. Monumental victory. Epic final round. Monster birdies on Lunenberg's 5 toughest holes. I'll savor this one for a long time.
Congrats on your second win. You went toe-to-toe with some great players and came out on top.
Big names in the field - Blaylock, Gemmill, BBT, Garcia. Very satisfying to win. Too bad that Doyley guy wasn't here. I had some leftover chicken bone for him.
Party at my house tonight.
And no, Bob. You're not invited.
