Bogey-free -46 for me on a course I usually struggle at. Had a stretch on the back on Thursday and the front on Sunday where I made 6 pars in 7 holes each time. Imagine that will cost me a chance at a win, but really happy with my play otherwise. I hit the ball really well and really straight this week. I've yet to be pulled with my current controller at any point but it's been in the back of my mind each tournament worrying about it. If I don't get flagged this week I think I'll be able to move forward with a clear conscious knowing I have nothing to worry about. Matched your -46. Played well at times but still dealing with some tempo issues. Getting closer though. I am going to have nightmares about trees. Like, the sound of my ball hitting a tree and then the sound of my fist pounding my desk. AHHH TREES. I do agree with some of the others about lighting. I'm glad I didn't have epilepsy on some of the greens in R1 haha. Good luck everyone and Happy Easter!

-6 and -10. Not playing well at all right now.

Looked forward to this one after a couple of really good practice rounds in the “forecasted” conditions, and was playing well. -7 & -9 for -16 at halfway is not what I was expecting. Played like 💩 Missed cut? ✔️

I am on the side of keep the noon lighting. I hate green shadows as well and the better play-ability overrides any aesthetic concerns. I especially hate green shadows with high or very high winds, the rapidly shifting shadows make me feel dizzy when I am lining up a putt. Yeah, I was actually considering sitting this out, as the lighting around the greens here gives me headache... hopefully it’s not too bad.

R1 is the only one where it's not good - too much contrast between the overhead sun (making the greens very washed out / light) and then the massive moving tree / leaf shadows. Get through that one, and it improves markedly in the other 3 rounds.

Yep what Rob said. Fight through the first round and it’s fine from there.
I think he has a good point on the noon settings. Though the goal was to create a high sun and minimize the shadows, it actually made it worse. I’m thinking my test round on noon actually used the settings from my previous round as TGC doesn’t reset sometimes.
Hopefully for the “next” game, TGC does something with lighting and shadows. Just no need for them to be so prevalent on the ground. The delta theme’s trees truly can make you sick from seeing them sway around and it’s a shame. Pebble Beach does the same thing and it creates unpleasantness on some great courses.

Nice playing, good to see you contending already. I probably hit 4 or 5 trees for the week. Mostly after tee shots I had a lack of focus and didn't get on the proper side of the fairway. Definitely a unique style of course we rarely play and I would just forget that middle of the fairway isn't necessarily good if I didn't check the pin location.

-46 is a good knock tyler. I fancied it this week after blitzing the trilby tour with -31 thru 36. Then played today and swing was off big time in patches. Really good in others but tempo was all over today. Got some really funky swings. All on my part. I hate slow at the top. You feel it before you've hit it and it just sucks balls. When my swing was off i didnt get the breaks and short sided myself alot. That coupled with 4 bogies. Halted the charge. Every time i got it going id make bogey and a few pars followed. On a plus note my putting is getting back to somewhere near its best and i made 2 aces in an event. First time ive ever managed that. Good luck all and hopefully ill creep in the top 10 again. Keep them wgr ranking points coming in Stay safe all!!! Thanks Scott, saw you tore it up on Sunday with a big charge. I try to completely remove slow at the top on this game because it's such a ridiculous penalty. So my miss is typically fast at the top which only gets you a few yards longer and doesn't hurt too much. Although now that I say that, I had probably 4 or 5 95%'s this week which is quite rare. Wouldn't surprise me if tempo is funky this week at times because of the shadows maybe.

Hopefully it's contending or in the mix...a lot of people have to play still. My tree experience was me just mostly catching the edge. I hit about 10-12 trees overall and sometimes I didn't even see it happen, just heard the noise haha. I had to think about tee shots a lot more than normal and I really enjoyed that aspect. Normally tee-shots are just bang it down the middle 320 but it wasn't that vibe this week.

Fought through it at -6... bogey free. Actually played nicely and starterd with 2 birds but went on a barren run of 9 pars, and rolled a great number of very makeable putts JUST over the edge. Had to birdie the last 3 to get my -6 😳
I feel bloody sick, mind you, but hopefully can put something together in R2.

Meh... -10 r2 to be -16. Again, missed some simple putts I’d usually be very confident in making. Just couldn’t get the roll.
Amazed if that makes it!!

If I don't let my swing get all the way to the top I tend to get more pushes that end up borderline on the cone both in and out. To combat that I have to risk the slow. However, i'm getting better at timing it perfectly but I guarantee that if I looked at a compilation of my approach shots I would find about 90% of them right on the edge of being a slow back swing.

Unfortunately finished those up with a -7, -12 which in rounds 1 & 2 likely make the cut. Same crap I did last week at Augusta.

You know I was sure someone was supposed to play these courses before putting them forward for the "premier" tour.
