Figured I would go ahead and make the thread.
This course is tough for me at least. I've got three demotion marks and this might be my last week here. 67-67 for a -6 total after round 2. Going to need some luck to avoid 2 demotion marks.

WD for me. Played R1, then tested the course I'm building on Pro clubs and forgot to switch back and hit my drive in R2 and it didn't go anywhere and realized I was still on Pro clubs.

Disaster for me: -1 & -4 for -5 and missed cut and bunch of red thingies...
Third week here and after a good start I am finding it increasingly difficult to deal with the greens.
Good luck all, Frans

Played round 1 and wow. The pin placements and wind made the course a beast. Was at -4 heading into the 18th and felt a little relief seeing a par 5 moving with the wind....nope another bogey after a really fun 4 putt.
The course is much more forgiving in round 2, felt like the pins were a little more gettable and the wind wasn’t as bad. -9 for me there.
-12 wouldn’t make the cut most weeks but maybe this week after seeing the trouble it’s giving a lot of people to start. I have a demo mark to get rid of so I’m hoping....

Good luck all, Frans I missed about 10 birdie chances within 15ft at minimum this week. I may be on my way out, but I'll say that putting comes and goes. Some weeks you make them all, some weeks you don't. If I'd been more aggressive I'd be lucky to have broken par this week. Just gotta stay realistic. Hopefully that ends up saving me this week. Looks like other people are struggling, so -6 may give me only one demotion mark. Fingers crossed

Played rd 1. I like the course, but once again the obsession to use 187 with certain pins/slopes has made a nice course play too arcade, in my opinion. Do these set-ups actually get TESTED?

In all seriousness, the course this week is intentionally meant to be a tough test. I get that not everyone will be a fan, but it's always tough to please everyone. In other news: I very much appreciate the professionalism and respect in the Euro thread. It's not the most active of the tours, but those who comment always have a way of staying on track with zero mud slinging. Thanks guys! 👏🏾

First round required a lot of patience. Landed my first approach about 8' right of the hole, it fed 85' away and had my first putt come back to my feet. Strapped in for a difficult round and eagled the last to walk away happy with -5.
A few more accessible pins in the second round. -9 and left a few out there. I've missed my first two cuts in this tour by 1 shot but I feel like -14 will be enough for some weekend action this week.

Definitely have to think more about your approaches and land in the right areas - which is honestly more like real golf at a tournament-ready course. Cheers mate!

There are weeks where scores are very high, there are weeks where scores are very low, there’s weeks in between. There are wide open courses with huge greens, there are tight courses with tiny greens, and everything in between. I think you’re killing it with the balance and to me that’s fun and keeps things fresh. Keep up the good work!

Much prefer tougher courses and higher scores than a -55 fest. Keep the tough courses coming i say! Practised in round 1 conditions last night and it is definitely tough.Having spent the weekend playing the Conservatory course i recognised the designer straight away. A great test

Whoah….what a killer. Some of the pins were diabolical but couldn't tell you how many mid-range birdie putts shaved the hole. Back 9 in Rd2 was a shocker after a great start. Started with a 65 and a "disappointing" 63 in Rd2.
Also, anyone notice the change in par "in-game" versus the TGCTours website? My round 1 65 is -5 in the game and -7 on the TGCT leaderboard.
Anyway, moving on.

Gonna be another missed cut for me...i think that's 5 in a row now. Minus a couple of fast downswings I played better than i have. This type of course has just never been fun for me. I hit so many good shots or what i though were great shots and they turned into complete crap. Trying to get to some of these pins with the wind and hard green is just something i've never been that great out. Ball bouncing around like a pin ball. Hit is short and it sticks, hit it long and it bounces and rolls forever, hit it to one of the back stops to get it to back up and roll back and it would stop on a yellow hill...damned if you do and damned if you don't. Bogeyed the first hole of round 1 and that was my only bogey of the 2 rounds but could never consistently get it close enough for birdies. Shot E and -6.
