I hope everyone is well and staying safe in these rather strange times. With trips outside limited for many of us, we are lucky that we have this community to help pass the time and to escape from reality for a little bit every now and then. We have 100s of people designing courses, organising events, streaming gameplay to help us keep busy and to help us have a little fun. Even on our own little tour we have extra events within The KF, the week rivalry series run by up mup kupen nup and this week sees the first KF match play competition run by Riotous. Thanks guys for adding to the fun. If there are forum lurkers out thinking about joining in, make your self known, we don’t bit, well I might but only if I am very hungry. Also look at the completed course section of the forums, so many new courses each day, a lot by new designers whose courses might sometimes slip by unnoticed, especially during competition time. Do me a favour, during the week, pick a course by a designer you don’t know, give it a go, you might be pleasantly surprised. Show a little support to the people that are helping support us by keeping us entertained in the weeks to come. This weeks designer jeffreyb was not a designer I was familiar with, and look what happened when I decided to try his course, it’s now on tour for all of us to play and over the next four weeks, there will be two more designers getting their first tour event. It’s not often you get to support and help people by playing games, by leaving a little message on a forum. So do it, or I will find out where you live, I will hunt you down and in 3 to 6 months give you a stern talking to.

Been having a huge disconnect with the game for quite a while now. Started tempo wise, and then swing accuracy wise started creeping in and eventually also putting wise. To the point that I've started playing pro clubs (and enjoying that) everywhere else i'm playing. Having the choice of being frustrated by watching the only live broadcast available on TV being the news channels or being frustrated by the master clubs I decided on the latter. Two rounds won't last much longer than 40 mins anyway, I can always go back to watching the news soon! Expecting not much but irritation I set out. Hole 1, par 3. My 1st swing off the tee and it is fast down. Into a bunker so deep I can't see the flagstick even. Flop barely made it out of the abyss and dropped the putt for par. Boom, never looked back. Played all 4 rounds, just incase the faery dust ran out. Really enjoyed my rounds today - had much less off tempo shots compared to the norm in general, made a bunch of good putts, scrambled like a pro, as a matter of fact only made 1 bogey all tourney. And that was a 4 putt of all things. Was just awesome to visualise a putt, picking the line, hitting it sweetly and watch as the putt runs and turns as expected and drop into the cup. Missed a few gnnnnn ones here and there, but dropped a bunch of 15-25 footers too. There was a time when making the cut was a given, but that has changed into collecting red ticks. This week is fist pump time again! Even enjoyed my rounds so much that i've decided to upload a video. A homage to HB Cool runnings. Good luck everyone. Enjoyed the course!

Having thoroughly enjoyed my last meal of shepherd's pie and sliced beetroot followed by apple pie and custard, I was strapped in the chair and the electrodes attached. As the warden's hand moved to throw the switch and send me to my well-earned fate, the phone rang. It was the Governor with a last minute stay of execution. I will battle bravely to wipe off a red mark this week on a great looking course.

hmammoth you have a real good thing going on here, what with all the dirtbags I see as legit KFers. Good stuff, keep it up. I gave up mup kupen nup a good earful for his treatment of me, a medal winner in his little competition, in the matchplay event being run by Riotous. No need for you to punish him, I think he has learned a valuable lesson. Now onto the important business. Greetings all for it is I, THE CHANCELLOR OF THE CELLAR, reporting that not only did I really enjoy my first round this week at the stunning course created by jeffreyb Friar's Pass...what's that? Really? Huh, gotcha. As I was saying, Faria's Pass but you fellas might have to step up your game to take my place in the WSACOW basement. It is really nice, got a nearly new barcalounger from Giraffe72 and it doesn't even smell much. Wifi is good as long as the guys that make the cut don't change it on Saturday. Onward!

Lol, the bleach obviously did the trick then! I'm such an idiot. I bought a new controller when this game first came out, standard XB controller in a lovely Bristol City red, specifically for use with this game. I struggled from day one, it's a lot more sensitive than my other two controllers. I've experimented with different ways of sitting, ways of holding the controller, swing techniques, the lot. Some limited success here and there but an awful lot of frustration. It's a very difficult game anyway on Xbox, even worse when you have no idea which line your putt is going to start on when you're lining it up! So after last week's debacle I'd had enough. The kids have been using my old ones for Minecraft. The buttons are a bit sticky (bloody kids!) but they haven't taken a bashing. I've gone back to my controller I used to play the other versions of this game with. And waddya know, 59 in round one, including a 3-putt bogey after my worst swing of the round on 16! Why I didn't do this ages ago I don't know. Even now my other controller is staring at me, accusing, tempting me with its Bristol Cityness. I'm not going back. (And I did get Admin to check out the data on that round, all good ) Nice course 👍

Everyone appears to be scoring well on this track, i played a quick practice round earlier and it didn't strike me as a birdie fest type course but it looks like it's going to have to be !

Bonjour,
now that the Secretariat has handed me the keyboard, I can briefly report that I'm sitting at -22 halfway through. I had a -9 followed by a gentle -13. It helped that I don't fear the bunkers in this game. For instance, I had a nice hole out on the par 3 first hole from the bunker on the left of, or shall I say below, the green.
Good luck fellow Cow Hunters, or WSACOWers, if you prefer to stick with the old name.

Bit nervous on the 1st seeing all the great scores in the clubhouse.
Rare to start with a Par 3 but a solid shot resulted in a 10ft birdie, however slight miss-judgements meant I was only -3 standing in the green side bunker on the 8th about to hit my third, thoughts of ditching the game or trying the beginners circuit were all I could think about. But I’ve learnt over the last few months on the KF Tour that your fortunes can change pretty quickly and the leaderboard is too compact to throw shots away. Proceeded to birdie holes 9 to 18 and sign for -13.
Nice golf course that will show it’s teeth if we get Very High Winds. Not sure about the other Pins but Pin 1 was scoreable because it was flat within about 8ft of every hole.

I knew double figures was a must. I knew taking any chances that come along was vital. I knew mistakes would be costly. For the most part I hit my targets, no bogeys, at least one eagle but I did leave a couple of shots slip by. -11 for round one. It’s going to be tight around the cut line this week. Round two is going to be a pressure round.

-9, -6 for -15 after 2 rounds. In this birdie fest week that might get me my 5th red.

Sadly I don't think that'll make the cut ksmith851, but it might well be good enough to avoid a strike. I hope so. I was thinking -22 for the cut this week, the second round has changed my mind. There were some really tough tee shots in those strong winds. I started ok but got in trouble at 4 and dropped a shot, and then another one at 7 after getting an unlucky bounce had me at -1 for the round. Surely I can't blow such a good first round? (I can) An eagle at 9 after a beautiful fast/fast in to the green relieved the pressure but still work to do. Three pars later I'm standing on the 13th tee at -3 and feeling a little squeaky. Thinking I need to birdie at least 3 of the last 6, but thankfully that closing stretch is probably the easiest part of the course, I birdied all 6 to finish on -9 and -23 at the turn. Happy days, that'll get rid of one of those red marks I picked up last week I'm calling -19 for the cut but I'd be happier on -20. up mup kupen nup that's a brilliant second round in those conditions 👍

I hope you are right with -20 being safe. Terrible R2 of -7 after a -13 start finished me off. -12 and -12 to have a nice tournament overall but man that R2! So -44 overall and I’ll never be upset with a score in the -40’s.
Good luck everyone. Course is nice! Damn you to hell default winds!!!! :-) Can never figure you out.

Well a par on the first hole means I won’t win this week. Lol.
A -12 gets a solid 39th place atm, but not complaining. Like the course and going low was fun.

Lurker here... Decided to play KF as warm up for my CC-Pro tourney. Awful opening round of -1, but then lit it up at -10 second round...including double eagle on 8th or 9th hole (Par 5...don't recall which hole #) Now that was fun to watch!! I'll never ever make it to KF tour, but great courses.
