27 putts for me in the first round, including 15 on the back 9. I was -7 thru 10 and played even par after that. What a waste to a really solid start.

Tell you what, my -11 won't make the cut this week. Some terrible golf out there, on my behalf. I was looking for the Proud Mary cause the kept on rolling, rolling, rolling down the river (green).

Good luck all this week. Course setups were tough. Really struggled on the vfirm 182s in rd 1. 29 putts is a rare occurrence for me. In hindsight i really should of had a practice round on them. Even though id played loads of practice rounds in other societies. I hadnt came across 182 vfirm and the firmness of the greens does alter the way a green plays. Rnd 2 id got hang of them and shot -14 and then struggled on the moderate 182s. All in all i didnt adjust well to the slight changes. It is just a slight change too. I was 2 clicks out on loads. Just when id got hang of it slight change in firmness alters the roll. Same as firmness of fairways. The softer the fairway the less kick plays. I had an alby on 13 tho in rd 3 which was a highlight. But 5 3 putts from inside 15ft really killed me. 2 for bogies and 3 on par 5s . But i made some stupid putts. 34ft 4 box break downhill in r4 on 4 was highlight. Not gonna be my week but im still climbing up the wgr slowly slowly, Good luck all left to play. I fancy -45 to win it.

Impressive stuff.

Cheers tyler. Apart from 3 putt from 12ft on 15 r4 was solid. like i said i completely butchered rd 1. Id putted great in all the societies before hand and the change to v.firm shook me tbh tyler. Missed short putts on 3 9 10 16 17 and 3 jerked 4 from 15ft. Killed it. #stillchasingfirstmajor!!!

Finished 62-67 for a -40.
Round 3 played nice but missed three or four putts inside 10 feet. Got to take advantage of conditions like that and i just didn't
Round 4 - Jesus H Christ those conditions were brutal. Played very poorly, missed a lot of greens and was lucky to only have one red number on the card (Double after a very slow @ 7). Got up and down from some very tricky spots @ 6,9,12,16 & 17.
Interested to see where this will leave me. The same score got me T16th last season. Think this played tougher overall? Really nice playing. I think you might be leading through 2 rounds and expect you’ll be close to a top 5 for the week. Definitely was tougher this year. That Saturday round seemed to play weirdly tricky for a lot of people despite the easy conditions. Cheers. Think it's just that the greens are such that hitting it to 8-10 feet is very rarely a guarantee of a birdie.
I weirdly had more success from 20 odd feet than close range. Made 7 or 8 putts I had no business making.
Happy with how I played apart from R4. And tbh that could have been a whole lot worse had my short game not been on point. Would have gleefully accepted a Top 10 before I started that's for sure.

Before I get into these tough rounds and such and try to play these Masters conditions, I just wanted to say to everyone involved this week that since sports across the world are canceled including golf, that we all are playing in the real Masters right now. We are all the golf world has to offer right now lol. Good luck to everyone and welcome to the Masters! Also, I'd just like to say that during these tough times that I know it's not easy for everyone. I know that people are having tough times being isolated, not working, overwhelmed with the entirety of all that these times entail. This game (regardless of some of the shortcomings) and community (thanks to the admins for putting all of this together) are a good release to kind of forget about what all is going on right now. So for the time you get to play and discuss the game with each other, enjoy that time! This is one of the best game communities out there and we're fortunate to have it. Furthermore, if I can do something for anyone that's having a hard time right now, please feel free to hit me up and I'll try to do what I can for you guys. Thank you all for the kind words and fun times we've had out here thru the years and hopefully we have many more to come! Cheers guys!

Started Round 1 a bit rusty (rage withdrew after 1.5 rounds two weeks ago, couldn't concentrate, and didn't play last week), I think I was even through 6 today, something like that. Got my s**t together, made some putts, ended up at -10. Swing was really good overall, will be shocked if I don't pass the API, but I guess I won't find out until I complete the 2nd round.

With the conditions set, I've been trying to find a set of clubs that will benefit me. I still haven't found a club that can handle #4 on its own without doing a fast or slow downswing. I think par will be just fine on that hole. I'm probably over thinking this but I still want to give myself the opportunity to do well.

Brighttail Regarding #4, which pin and what wind conditions? It was round one. Plays like 245 ish. It is okay I tried something silly and ended up in the bunker. Made par.
Played first round and birdied the first 3 holes and thought I was going to go on a roll, then only one birdie at #8 in the next 10 holes. I shot okay but just couldn't make a putt. Dumped one in the water on a 95% swing on 13. Finished off strong going -5 on the final 5 holes, including a flop in eagle on #15 to finish -9. I had lots of opportunities to shoot -12 or better but couldn't capitalize. Ah well. I'm very happy with -9 in the difficult conditions. I hope I can put together one more round like it to make the cut.
The key was 0 bogeys which rarely happens on this course. I scrambled on two holes and made a nice 20 footer to save par.
