Stunner of a course, great choice this week.
I went into round 1 feeling great, finished top 10 last week and came in with a shiny new green check.
Aaaand then It’s like I completely forgot how to play this game, -3 including two bogeys and a double.
Went ahead and played my second round, another -3.
Amazing how you can go from feeling like you’ve got the game completely figured out to being totally lost in the matter of a couple days. Oh well, that’s golf.
Might end up with a red check after all is said and done....what can you do. Good luck to you all, enjoy your rounds!

First round was strange; didn’t feel comfortable and missed putts I should have made but still managed to score -10
Good luck all!!

Second was a disaster: -4 Missed cut? Could make it. Average score in r1 was only around -6.5. I set myself a goal to score at least -6 in r1 and that's exactly where I ended up. Putting from too far which also cost me 2 3-putts. If approaches get better I can see myself making the cut, otherwise it's gonna be difficult, it's not an easy course!

Struck the ball pretty well overall but couldn’t buy a putt. Shot -6 and another -6 to be -12 at the cut. I imagine that’s my 4th straight missed cut and by far this is the worst stretch I’ve had since breaking into the pro level last year. It’s all mental now and trying too hard.
I really liked the course overall...fun track. But man those are some tight landing zones. Designer really makes you have to think and tempt fate on some of these tee shots.

Managed a couple of -10's to start so happy to make a cut after last week's debacle. Still, left myself a lot of downhill sliders and a half dozen or so that shaved the hole. Premium on course management this week. I do like this course. Cheers

Another case of what could have been. Shot a -7 first round with a double bogey on 2 and a bogey on 11.
Round two got off to a scorching start going -5 through 6, only to miss 3 putts on the next 3 hole within 6 feet (two for birdie, one for eagle). It's hard to be disappointed going -6 through 9, but i sure found a way... Back 9 had the same feel to the front, but two bogeys included a costly one on 18, left me at -8 for the round.
Based on the scores coming in, I'm hopeful -15 gets me into the weekend, but without some stupid mistakes, I could have been sitting on top right now.
Good luck to all that haven't played yet!

Curtis thanks for selecting my course for Euro this week! It’s always a treat to have a tour stop!
Hope everybody enjoys your rounds and finds the course a welcome challenge. I tried to place a premium on course management and making you think a bit before gripping and ripping it.
Good luck out there everybody! Cheers!

Bad start, couldn't make a put early and kept rolling my drives into the rough. Was -2 through 10 after lipping out a short par put on the par 5 9th where my first 3 shots were in the heavy rough. Birdied the next 5 holes (including one from 60 feet), should have birdied 16, should have eagled 17 but settled for birdie, and holed out for eagle on 18 to finish the round at -10.
Second round I birdied 2 then had a slow downswing on my approach on 3, stopped a few inches short of going in the water but I left my flop short and missed the par putt from the fringe. Birdied 5 then 3-putted 6 after my approach shot rolled off the back and what I was sure was much too hard a putt got caught up in the rough and the ball went about 1/3 of the way to the hole. On 8 I tried to hit a fast downswing off the tee and for once it was a perfect downswing, then my flop was short and the birdie putt never broke. I did hit a fast downswing on 9, straight into the tree. Hit out of the bushes about 150 yards into some more bushes, landed my 3rd shot right next to the hole only to have it spin right then roll all the way down the hill, then missed the 38 foot birdie putt by 9 inches.
Bounced into the rough off the tee again on 10 and left my approach shot 47 feet short. Birdie putt on 11 just straight-up stopped halfway to the hole for some reason. Tee shot on 12 didn't move with the wind at all and I ended up in the rough and missed the 34 foot birdie putt. Hooked my tee shot on 13 into the bunker. Bounced into the rough off the tee on 14, burned the edge on the 57 foot birdie, completely missed the 10 foot par, then left the 37 foot bogey short. Missed a 14 foot birdie on 15, finally made a 6 foot birdie on 16, 3-putted for par on 17 by missing a 9 foot birdie, had a fast downswing on my approach on 18 but sank the chip because the game hates me and wants me to feel bad about wasting good shots on another idiotic missed cut by shooting 61/71.

Man, played like crap this tournament. Couldn't get anything going right either round and I'm sure I'll miss the cut at -5 through two rounds. Only question is whether or not I avoid demotion marks.

Played awful. Never good to get a very slow on your first hole. Should have stopped and played tomorrow. But I pressed on to an ugly -11 thru 2 rounds. Never felt comfortable and was always between clubs.

Premium on course management this week. I do like this course. Cheers Finished -9, -5 for a -34 total. Missed a fair few fairways in both round and with no light rough, the penalty for missing is severe. Cheers

Really strange 2nd round. Started out really good with 3 birdies on the first 4 holes, then a really bad middle part and to be honest when I was -3 after 11 (-9 for the tournament I thought I was done for. Then out of nowhere I managed birdie-birdie-birdie-hole in one-birdie-par-birdie for a 61 and -16 after 2 to make my first cut on the European Tour. GL all still to play!
The hole in one:

Round 3 was quite difficult with the wind and I just couldn't get them close enough times for a good score. -5.

Have been absolutely brutal the past 5/6 weeks. In-game handicap went from the high 20s to single figures and was -5 after round 1 with 4 demotion marks to my name - 4 or5 miserably missed cuts in a row. Staring down the barrel. Really had to sing for my supper in Round 2 and managed to do so shooting a -10 and making the cut. Beautiful sight this morning when i checked my scores. Maybe this will be a tale i will tell at some point when i am wildly successful and i recount the time i was one ordinary round away from losing my European Tour card. Thank you Fiji and god bless you
