Well, I think it's safe to say you got the polarizing part down, Ben.

Two more versions published this evening - will pop them in the OP: Black Salt Valley Members - Playing at a par 72 (with the 14th now a par five), this version is for those who came to Black Salt Valley but forgot their cup ( gdog). The greens aren't totally neutered, but they are softened to where a decent shot might be rewarded and the areas around the hole locations are less aggressive. You will still get tricky putts, but only to penalise you for a particularly poor approach. Additionally, a few of the fairway landing areas have been softened or widened and some of the tees moved further forward. To finish everything off, the stands have been removed and replaced with more planting. Black Salt Valley (Alt) - The exact same course as the Major, but with four completely different pinsets. Not necessarily easier - this is a mix of pins I thought were too severe, too easy or that I simply couldn't fit in. For those of you who hadn't yet discovered every single part of the greens, now's your chance. Keep enjoying - delighted to see the love/hate this course is getting

Absolute gem, Ben. I have only played one round but am looking forward to trying all hole locations, different conditions. I think I broke 80. LOL. I personally love the challenge and difficult greens, keeps it interesting and different for multiple plays.

My best so far is -9 with a dbl on 18 and another bogey. Great track. Me and all my mates love it in a sadistic way!

-9 is crazy good. The best I've seen so far is -10 with high winds on pin 1 from staypuft39 and I won't mention my own personal best... Again, thanks for all the kind words. There have been some with slightly different opinions on Twitter lol.

Easily one of my favourite looking courses out there. Really captures a major design course. Fantastic job.

Hey Ben,
Had a chance to play the course tonight following Petty's course and you couldn't have two more different courses! Played the Major version and it kicked my ass. shot 93 (in super high winds). It's a wild beast this one. Greens are insane. Really loved the natural pockets folds in the surfaces you were able to generate. The whole course from the greens, fairways and planting is so visually rich. Every shot is just POW! Amazing work man. You are doing some really great work.

Wow beautiful course man. Everything on the course was done spot on. The golden colors of the grasses up against the lush green just popped off the screen. The textures and the lighting made every corner of the course look amazing. The wild planting around the grandstands made them blend into the course liked they belong there. My favorite view was coming up looking at the windmill. I don’t know but that was just placed in the perfect area really immersed me in coming up that fairway. Sculpting around that course crazy good. Don’t know how you got those greens to be playable with all those undulations. But it played just like a major. Find the right spots to leave your self I safe pat if I make birdie all the better. But the one thing I really thought was spot on with a major course was that the course got in my head and bad shots were carrying over to next swing or hole. Big part of the test of a major is the mental aspect and you nailed it. Great job good luck in contest.

this track is a phantasmagorical roller-coaster ride of beautifully crafted planting & sculpting
18 holes of tee-to-green eye-candy, each one a treacherous treat to play
just this AM played the (Alt) version in the Inglorious Basterds Society and was blown away by your design
can't wait to play this one again as well as having thusly discovered the rest of your TGC course portfolio to give a shot to

Nothing but kudos to give. As much fun as it was to "engage" with your WIP thread, it has been even better to play this again and again. Closest I've ever seen to realistic scoring in the TGC series, an intelligent challenge that has few equals. Can't wait to break out the popcorn for the PGA thread that this will certainly get.
