Parco de' Medici GC Roma (real course)

this is

Parco de' Medici GC Roma

a 72 par golf course built looking at the real Sheraton Golf Parco de' Medici in Roma, with the help of google maps.

The course is pretty similar to the real one but with some changes... the maps of the golf club are very old and not match many times with the updated field.

The Parco de' Medici has three 9 holes courses: red, white and blue.

I picked the white and the blue holes for make the 18 of a regular playable 72 par course.

There are five par 5 and five par 3.

4 tees, 4 pins.

Most of the greens are pretty wavy and surrounded by trees, and the default green speed is medium fast.

Construction took many hours of measurements from satellite maps and then take them to my ps4.

I hope u will enjoy this course has i did when i visited it in real life.

Hole number 9 fairway has the ruins of an old "Roman Villa" in the middle. Very picturesque!

Wow..this would be the first RCR of an italian course we have. Is a good thing!

I was thinking about the chance to make a recreation of the next Ryder Cup venue, at the Marco Simone Golf Club.
Unfortunally, the course it will be under great renovation works for the next 2 years, so is impossible to know right now how it will be.

It would be great to have a couple of great italian courses available on this game.

yes, Marco Simone will be very cool.... but even Verdura in sicily is awesome!

i started this project in september, but i been far from this game and the forum for long time...

I love this course because is ain't 2 km far from my place... i always wanted to go to play there since i was a kid, and in 2017 i did the caddy there for a friend that was a pro golfer and now is a referee.

by the way, i think is pretty similar to the original, but i did some errors or reviewing of the greens, so sometimes are too much wavy (into the editor the grid was green but playing it after some square line has become yellow ).

I never played golf in my life.
Is one of those passions i discovered probably too late. But i love everything in which precision is involved, then some year ago i tried a videogame of the TW series..and now here i am.

Anyway..here in Sicily, in the province of Ragusa there is Donnafugata that, for what i saw from pics, satellite map and videos, it seems to be beautiful. But i think that our best courses are dedinitely near Roma and in Lombardia. I know Robert Trent Jones designed a bunch of them.

Some week ago i started to work on my first course with the editor..is a fictional one, just to understand how things are working, then i wish to start doing some real course.

I still don't know what i'll do, but i wish to realize at least a pair of Italian courses. But maybe my first eill be Leopard Creek in South Africa, for some reason one of my favorite all time.
Well..Will see.

I'll play your course as soon as possible tonight. When i'll finish to update the list of RCRs (i must recover lot of wasted time after months of absence from the game).
