It's Finals Time!!Kevin up mup kupen nup takes on Thomas tpetro
A worthy course to host the final of the Korn Ferry Matchplay, bogies or doubles are easy to come by, birdies will win holes. A record crowd of 5 turned out and we're expecting even more for Day 2, it's highly unlikely that the total population of Luxemburg was on the course to support Kevin, so we assume they are Thomas supporters.
If the crowd were there to support the American they wouldn't have been disappointed, an excellent front nine and then taking his opportunity when Kevin slipped up early on the return 9 put Thomas in a commanding 5 shot lead. The crowd were raucous on the 15th tee, this may have affected their hero because homas missed the fairway from the tee and then missed the fairway again when recovering, he scrambled a 6 but Kevin got a birdie which improved his mood,a second birdie on 17 leaves the match in Thomas's favour but by no means over.
Thomas is 3up at the half way point

Day 2 on the Korn Ferry Matchplay ChampionshipThomas takes a 3 hole advantage into the day The wind was blowing and it seemed like every pin was on the edge of a bank, but this is exactly what the fans wanted. Par's were good enough to win on some holes today in what was the toughest set up and highest scoring that the Matchplay event has seen. That was exactly the case on the first, a Par from Thomas stretched his lead to 4 holes. 1st hole nerves out the way Kevin attacked and by the 11th he was back to only 1 hole down, but this is when champions step up and that's exactly what Thomas did, birdies on 4 of the next 5 holes took the match 4&3 and the title. Thomas tpetro wins 4&3

Congrats tpetro on whinning the turkey! Even though I'm more into golden cows, I wish I could have made this final a little more interesting by playing better. Anyway, thanks Riotous for organising the event and keeping us updated with your reports! I had a good time and I look forward to the next matchplay tournament!
