I just somewhat finished designing my first course. I need to do some more planting and touching some things up. I was really interested in some pointers and what people thought of the design, at least. I know I have a lot to improve on but I think my first go at it didn’t come out too bad.
It’s called “Tony test 12” at the moment because I haven’t 100000% finished it yet.
Thanks!

I’ll give it a go on the week end, however you could also let people know what style you are using and possibly the par.....and maybe even the difficulty level you consider it to be. However I’ll get back to you once I’ve given it a go.

I can definitely see this was your first course creation, I’m currently developing my third so I’m by no means a pro at it myself. Initially your tee boxes need work, like maybe running a heavy rough brush or even just rough brush around the edges just to make the dirty edges go away. You have lots of Bind tee shots on 4, 5, 7, 9, 10, the blind tee shot on 6 but with the massive right turn I can understand why. Try lowing some of the tee platforms for instance, if hole 9 was gradually lowered for each tee position I believe you’d have a better view of the fairway below. Try making bunkers sand flow downward, there are areas in the bunkers that flow up and down rather than having their own contours. It looked to me like you just used the one brush for each of the bunkers, try adding different shapes to other to create unique shapes. Give these tutorials a watch tgctours.proboards.com/thread/22231/b101-tutorials-video-linksOne final thing I would say and so many other say, play test, play test, play test. It gives you a much better idea of what your players will see. Nice job though, keep creating!!
