I just can`t go really low on this course as I just seem to dumb to hit certain greens and or find the right side of the green. I think it is hole number 12 (dogleg to the left, approx 380 yds Par 4): I wanted to stay right from the flag. I just could not do it a single time. And I just do not know why the ball went so much to the left (and downhill off the green). And there are a few other holes which left me clueless, even after around half a dozen training rounds and 4 tournament rounds. But I really like the course. I take such a course ten times over a -60 birdie festival. I just think that some tees are not plain. Future course designers should take special interest in constructing plain tees. Number 12 gets me every time on the left side. I even try to aim far right but then a miss hit seems to always drift it too far left and then the ball slowly rolls down the green to the left fringe. I just hope to get par on that hole and move on.

In practicing this course I have noticed a few little quirks. For example hole #2. The tee box seems sloped slightly. Even with a perfectly straight shot, the ball always seems to draw just a little left regardless of wind. It is an easy fix, just aim a little right but just one of a few quirks i have found.
Putts that have 0 break with the grids on either side showing opposite breaks, the ball suddenly breaks hard one way or the other. Yes I know the grids are an "average" which is why i Looked to the grids on either side. In the end without practicing and taking notes on each hole, these greens can be very unpredictable.
There are several shots that just seemingly act weird, even from the fair way. I don't blame the course designer on this per se, I just struggle with a ball that acts completely different from what is expected and I can't attribute it to just general squirt. For example I had a par 5 i was hitting my second shot on. Slope and wind was going to the left. I aimed right. I hit the ball almost perfect, one pixel to the left, the ball leapt right and never faded back one yard back to the left, even with an 8mph wind. It was weird.

There are a couple of holes like this but yes, even aiming right, the fairway slopes left.. even with correction I have only hit to the right of the hole once and that ended up rolling to the back. I just hope to get par on that hole and move on.

As if there was an update 2 weeks ago that started this weird ball behavior. Never experienced that before the WGC.

I just played next weeks course. I loved it. It's easy alright, but enjoyable. More subtle breaks near pins and they won't be so easy to read. I found the last 2 courses we played laborious and awkward. The effort put in on this next one is great and a majestic course has been created cause of that. I shot 16 u ser in 10-14 winds, and parred the 3 short par 4s. It's going to get annilhated by some lol.
I'm afraid u can never stop people eventually mastering golf games and hitting silly scores. Make them longer maybe but not unrealistically hard for the sake of it

Im sorry mav78, I have to disagree with you regarding next weeks course, im afraid I see it as a pitch and putt contest, the winning score next week will be easily in between -60 to -70. This weeks course was much more enjoyable to play than what next weeks will be, it will be a case of hit a par and it may as well be a bogey, just my opinion.

I hate courses where every hole is a must birdie. This weeks course is great beside some awkward quirks.

I think -70 and beyond is gonna be achieved on this course... Someone may even achieve perfection and reach -80... since 20 under per round is a possibility.. Winner will be determined by who gets the most eagles

But the course has been chosen and I will still play the tournament, so cant moan about it too much. lol,

One that perhaps England could achieve.. lol Sorry.. couldn't help that
