Additional rubber bands on the 7th? What is the genesis of the rubber bands cheat? Did someone actually do that or is that just a theoretical?

A while back somebody posted a picture of a PS4 controller swathed in rubber bands in all directions. It's probably just me that remembers it. Not really suggesting anything, I know you are the HiO expert.

Not Dirtbags related, but this is why I both love and hate Masters clubs.
Korn Ferry tour, my 4th event (got a DNP last week after starting the round with Pro clubs by mistake.) I don't even know for sure if I've made the cut, but played rounds 3 and 4 anyway just in case. Rolling along with a decent round when I find myself on the 9th green with this eagle putt...
I love masters clubs! And then, I step to the 10th tee and this happens....Β
I REALLY love masters clubs! Probably not possible with pros...
Naturally, the 11th hole, I get a slow on the approach, it hits a bank and bounces unnaturally far right and into the water. The only drop spot they give me is behind a tree, so the ensuing recovery punch shot rolls through the green and off the back. Flop back on and two putt for a triple bogey. In an instant, all that luck was undone and I went from sniffing the top 10 to being completely out of contention thanks to one swing being slow (by about a millimeter.)

I didn't see anything in those videos that weren't possible with pro clubs? did i miss a joke?

I wouldn't have been able to get to the eagle putt on 9 with pros and I wouldn't have had the right distance to play that shot on 10 with pros. That wasn't really obvious from the videos. It was more just the point that one can gain 4 strokes with two consecutive shots, then erase it all (almost) with one minor tempo error on the next. Illustrating the roller-coaster ride that is master club play, that's all.

But itβs fun!! Played the promo this week and was -2 midway through the second round; first two rounds being much easier than the last two. Then got it to -27 in the last two and a half rounds... πππ

If it wasn't a results-driven thing we're doing (TGC,) I'd likely play them a lot more. Just casual rounds and stuff, where nothing is on the line and you're just playing for the sheer fun of playing.
