Struggled for weeks recently but was due a PC upgrade and took the plunge 2 weeks ago. i7, 16MB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 and hey presto my tempo has settled quite measurably. Same old controller but just the occasional fast and never a very fast. Coincidence? Maybe but don't think so.

The inconsistency of PC play has all but driven me completely away from this game
I agree with Oscar 100%

I should clarify after all of these postings above I have a gaming laptop that is able to play this game at a very high level with no issues.
For me personally and no offence to anyone else but vs playing on PS4 I have no confidence in the swing doing what I intend on PC.
I’m not going to finish again this week and will probably leave playing altogether.

if you are playing it at high settings, try lowering the settings to up the frame rate. you might find some more consistency.
especially on the really busy courses.

I didn't need a high end gaming PC to play the beta when I tested it before release. I shouldn't need one now. The game ran flawlessly when I tested the beta

I played Q-School with Master clubs this week and shot -4, -6, +1, -1. It was a complete load of rubbish from start to finish. I would love to know how many bad swings i had in terms of tempo. How many times have you gone though Q-School Daniel? I only ask because I've seen your name come up a number of times.... just curious..

I have gone through more than once but i can't remember how many times. Probably the wrong thing to do and i can see why people will hate on me for it. I understand. I was just curious.. no worries.. Are you flipping between clubsets? Which ones do you think you are best with?

I was just curious.. no worries.. Are you flipping between clubsets? Which ones do you think you are best with? Definitely best with Beginner clubs but it just doesn't feel right using them for some reason. I don't know why. I honestly haven't tried anything but Masters...and I'm on XB - so probably dumb on my part - but for me, I enjoy the challenge. I'll have good weeks and will have (more) bad weeks, but in the end, I enjoy the challenge either way. I'd like to see the scoring on the tours be a little less crazy, but that's just the way it is I suppose. I've started playing USE and also play TST, where there are a few that still score well in those formats, but the majority of the scoring is more realistic. Good luck wherever you end up !

If i had to guess where i end up with the scores that i had it would probably be in CC-Am somewhere. Due to their being no cuts on CC i have to realise i will most likely be near the bottom most weeks or at least miss the 'pretend cut' as i like to call it. It isn't a nice feeling being bad at something. Though we are 'competing' in the tours, golf is really a singular sport - meaning it's you vs. the course. Set some reasonable expectations for your scoring on whichever course you play and try to beat those marks - then the position on the leaderboard won't matter as much..

No more push/pull, no forced fasts, and the forgiveness of the clubs levels the playing field across platforms. It's just You Vs. Course.

I've never played anything on the XB or PS4 so cannot make any comparisons with playing on a PC. I actually use a gaming laptop and whatever golf simulation I have played, and I've played a few, I have always craved realistic scoring. TGC2019 is the only game where I can achieve that. My round scores tend to be par or just over with an occasional under par round. And I love it!!
I use a mouse (I've never used a controller) but seem to have to make it travel further than expected when I swing and, because of that, keeping it reasonably straight is a challenge in itself, but it is what it is. I've never used a straight edge and never will. I'm more than happy recording a par round, I've had enough of shooting sub-60's and on one golf sim I even shot a 49 (at Sunningdale I seem to remember). All that is so unreal.
Just airing my thoughts really, but I'm so glad that for me birdie-fests are a thing of the past!!

Well, I play games on my PC, but I also had a lot of problems. That feeling when you can't afford ps4 and should try to fight with slowdowns of your Windows. However, if you're interested in best pc tune up softwares you can check this critical review. Generally, I recommend using such softwares that boost your PC, clean and diognise it. I started playing a lot calmer and now choose hard games, but my PC doesn't fail and I don't need to buy ps. So, maybe these programs will be useful for you.

PC player here. I ditched the Xbox controller in favor of a mouse. I've always used a Kennsington Expert mouse and I think it's design makes it work well for golf games.

Have you got Razer Cortex (free software from the company that make gaming mice and keyboards) helps boost your game by freeing up memory. I have a high end CPU Ryzen 3900X but still use it. It launches automatically when you run your game, I recommend it to anyone having PC framerate issues. Also try lowering fog shadows a bit , gives a huge framerate boost with virtually no visual difference that I could notice.

There I’ve said it. Sorry for the random worthless post but god damn it is frustrating playing the awesome looking game on pc. I’m going to stick to screwing around in the designer I can’t even finish a round without raging at this inconsistent piece of crap. Am I alone? You want to try it on Xbox, then you'll see how crap it is.
