There I’ve said it.
Sorry for the random worthless post but god damn it is frustrating playing the awesome looking game on pc.
I’m going to stick to screwing around in the designer I can’t even finish a round without raging at this inconsistent piece of crap.
Am I alone?

Yes you are, nothing wrong with pc play, from what I see the high scores are equal on pc or consoles, from what I hear Xbox is the problem
Then again may I’m just lucky with a controller that agrees with me

Dime's comment should have an asterisk and say "can be equal". If you have a good PC that can handle the game it will be consistent. If you can maintain a solid frame-rate it will be consistent. Otherwise, PC could arguably be the worst if you are playing on a system that can't handle the game.
I have a really good computer so I don't share your experience OSCAR but there have been a few times where a download is going and I experience frame-rate drops and the game goes to sh%$ for tempo.

I think this perfectly explains it:

I can vouch for the right PC doing the trick. My work laptop is a Dell G7 with a 8750H processor, 16gb of RAM and GTX 1060 Max-Q for graphics. I've tried playing on it and I get no consistency from the swing tempo, even with almost all other apps closed. My gaming rig at home is a 9900K with a 1080Ti and I rarely have problems on that machine.

Switching from PS4 to PC is night and day.
On PS4, the thumbstick motion allows for acceleration through the downswing which feels the most similar to an actual golf swing.
On PC, it feels like you have to decelerate the downswing and it's much harder. I don't tend to get many random-feeling tempos, but I definitely get more fast and very fast. Hitting the right tempo is definitely harder to do. And forget intentionally going for Fast/Fast on PC. Talk about a small margin for error!
There's no question that there's a difference. I can't imagine what XBox players must feel.

I have no consistency issues. But you have to accept medium quality graphics My config was G4560 + 8go + RX480 I made a 5th and a 11th place on PGA this season with this low PC. When i have a tempo issue i know it's my fault. Was clearly not the same thing when i played on my Xbox one X Now i upgraded my config with a Ryzen 5 3600 and 16Go and there's absolutly no difference with the tempo. On xb1 this is not the same game. But it is really more interesting on multiplayers session cause you have to manage a lot of recovery shots. I think a foursome match with good PC or PS4 players should be annoying (birdie, birdie, birdie, birdie....)

Yeah, I had to lower the graphics quality, and even then if I'm in some highly planted courses I'll get some inconsistency. But usually it is consistent inconsistency, so if I play a course through once I can see where the slower swing spots will be and I can anticipate the perfect-slow spots on the course. The 18th on the Promotion Event course this week is a prime example...my swing is Perfect-Slow every time on that hole...normally I'd play down the far left to carry the bunker and hit the middle fairway, but I know I can't do that because I"m going to lose distance.
Does it suck to have to make such concessions, sure. But I can at least plan for them by taking note of where and when they pop up...or by winning a lottery and just decking out the gaming system to the max

I'd suspect there will be issues this week (and the next few) due to world events - there have been various articles in the press here about how participation on Steam has hit record levels this week due to people being quarantined and therefore all playing on their computers - if there are that many players suddenly playing (whether on PC or PS/XB), and given how poor HB's servers always are at coping with increased demand, then no wonder tempo, straightness etc have all gone weird this week.
Personally I didn't have many tempo issues on Sunday, but I did get swing lines that were absolutely nothing like my normal lines (I'm normally pretty much straight back and then going slightly left on the downswing - this week I was (in general) right over on the right edge of the cone both back and through)
Who knows?

I play across two different PC's, one a laptop (Have to swing quite fast to achieve a Perfect/Perfect), the desktop however is quite different, you have to be smooth and slow the thumb stick speed down to get a Perfect/Perfect. Maybe why I am stuck in CC-E.

Using a ps4 controller on my pc i can say is playable. Not "easy" as it is on ps4, but is playable. I mean with master clubs, cause with pro clubs is absolutely nice working. I suspect things are different with the xbox controller, but i don't know. I never used it and i'll never do.
