The 1st round was probably my most disappointing -14 ever. Was sitting at -11 after nine holes and then I just hit the wall including 5 straight pars to finish. I'm not good enough to be upset that I ONLY shot -14 as that's about as good as my scores get, but it felt like I had a chance for a really memorable round.

Had it at -9 thru 9 holes in R1 and thought I was this guy Back 9 I got his memo Was -13 on the fairway after my tee shot at 18 and figured I should be a hero, hit the bank and bounced back into the water. Penalty drop line followed the stream so had to re-hit from my original position and took a double for -11 R2 -17 with a couple of eagles R3 -15 R4 -8 kept leaving sliders for birdie and was only -3 on the back 9 -51 total, doubt that will be a top 10 by 5 or so shots. Played the par 5 13th like a bozo, had 1 chip in eagle and parred it the other 3 times, twice missing birdie putts under 10 feet. Only managed 4 1 putt eagles out of the 12 attempts on those 3 front 9 par 5s as well, kept missing by a cup width with 1 being 8 feet away. Good luck all, think we need this guy to show up to take a bite out of Quint’s dominance

I didn't do enough to get it done this week. Super disappointing performance on the Par 5s. I also tried to play hero one round and had to drain a long twisty putt just for par. Missed a lot of opportunities and just couldn't be consistent where I wanted to land the ball. Can't complain with my score, but I think we could see someone close to -70 this week.
Greens were 163, 174, 174, and 187.
-17 -16 -14 -15 ------- -62 total
A few of the holes I never figured out how to play and kept leaving myself with weird distances to manage.
Best of luck to everyone!

I played a practice round and found it A LOT more challenging than the scores you guys are posting in the 1st two round! Then it hit me, I was playing everything on medium wind(north), very fast, very firm, very firm, and on black tee's!! With the default CC-Am tournament settings it should be much easier!?? Having said that, yaters -62 sounds like a GREAT score to me. I do plan on playing this, however, I'm still quite rusty (lot's of mistakes in Tough Beginner Tour), therefore, if I can finish in the -54 or better range, I'll be pleased.

I played no practice rounds, but conditions were very easy. Only issue (for me at least) is you can have some real tricky putts if you miss your spot on the green. You’ll be fine!

yaters I see what you mean about the course!! I played 1 more practice round and shot VERY VERY low (different controller than in Tough Beginners). I'll play and post my R1 sometime tomorrow, which hopefully, will be close to your excellent R1.

-17 R1. Putting was up and down. Made a few I shouldn't have, but missed a couple more I probably should!? Still gettin' back into the groove, but, all things considered, I'm pleased. I'm curious, was there heavy wind in any rounds?

A much slower start in round 2 as I was only -4 or -5 through nine holes but I made an adventure out of the round. Hole 4 the approach (2nd shot on par 5) was between clubs so I had to play shorter hoping to clear the creek and bounce on or go fairly long. In hindsight I suppose I could have layed up but there's a reason I didn't even think of that option until now. I played shorter, didn't fully clear the creek but just stayed out of the water and get buried in the rocks instead. Then managed to flop it in for the eagle.
On hole 18 I played it off the wrong fairway well to the right as opposed to hitting 3W down the middle or having to hit driver well left on the proper fairway. Hit a nice slope on the wrong fairway to gain an extra 15-20 yds. From this angle the green still isn't reachable in two so you can lay up, aim for the tee boxes beside the 18th green, just hit it as close to the green as possible into the rough or bunker for a flop onto the green or aim for the cart path and hope for a lucky bounce. I obviously chose the cart path, hit it square in the middle, bounced over the bunker and into the fringe. Then it was just a chip to eagle and finish off a -11 2nd round. I may not take a chance on re-using that strategy again as I doubt it'll work out as well next time.

Rd 2 was nowhere near as good - it was missed putt after missed putt with a 3 putt in there somewhere.

58 first round, with a hole in one, but a bogey somewhere too. -51 altogether I think.

Played my round 3 and then figured I might as well just get out of here and finish up round 4 as well. They turned out to be incredibly uneventful rounds for scores of -13 and -12. You know a course is easy when I shoot scores like that and didn't make any special or memorable shots along the way. All told it was a -50 week for me which is just about as good as I'll ever be able to shoot over 4 rounds of golf.
