Checked out that thread a little while back. I definitely don’t flick at all. Just a standard push up with my thumb on the bottom side of the stick and I don’t let go of the stick. Pretty weird as I’ve been playing for 5 years here and never had a pull until recently. We were always told API would never pull human input but this is 3 controllers now that are similar. Sounds to me like the system is pulling you for doing something human =P You are on your second controller. I'd never get to this point as my lines always have some level of variation in them but this alone has me strongly considering hopping over to the beginners tour with some of the other guys, at least until a new game comes out. I would hate to be in your position.

Those American DS4's must have pretty stiff sticks is all I can think. My own has all the rigidity of a jellyfish. Anyway R1 -13, swung it well but 3 lippers and a howler from 6 feet leave me somewhere in the middle of the pack. Weird you should say that, as I've just got a new one, and the springs do seem quite strong in it... Struggling to get fast tempo as regularly as I'm used to, and when I go for them, they have more likelihood that that the stick rebounds and the line shows up short. Playing for perfect tempo, I'm finding it easier to get more consistently straight lines than with my old pad, and having little issue with stick rebound. I'm sure this'll change when the thing beds in and I'll be back to slapping it all over the shop. TL:DR - DS4 mk2 springs are strong when new, but will likely loosen off with time, in my experience (end of UK supply chain). The newer model controllers on both Xbox and PS4 definitely feel 'stiffer' don't they? I thought this too and although they may loosen with time it doesn't feel like it makes as much difference as it once did. Weird though.

Well, I had a really solid 1st round surprisingly based on my play as of late. I ended up with a -15 in round 1 to get myself started. We'll see how the rest of the rounds go. In the interest of full disclosure, I did have a chip in on one of the holes, I believe it was 5, where I hit the chip with a slow downswing and it was because my finger slipped off of the stick as I was in my downswing and so my swing line was wayy off to the right as well. Somehow mind you this chip went in...Which means I must have really screwed up my line when I was aiming anyway lol. However, it was one of those out of the swing cone by complete accident. For the most part I felt like my lines were pretty good, some were to the right side of the cone but still within in the cone. If any of the admins would like to check that round and let me know if they see any issues, I'd love to know just to make sure I'm playing within the rules and not breaking the fair play standard that has been newly set. If something seems off, please let me know and I'll work on adjusting. If not, I'll keep doing my best to compete. I expect there to be some great scores out there, so we'll see what all we can do. Good luck to everyone guys! Hit em straight!

Yeah, hearing now that some of the newer pads play tighter, for a while anyway. I was kidding earlier when I suggested the pads across the pond where tighter but some of those Disney characters didn't get it.

Didn't play great, didn't play terrible. Lost my swing on the third round...the thing that killed me the most was my putting.. My line was so crooked..I can't explain it. I missed several easy, straight, short birdie putts from inside 5 feet!! I was just pulling back and pushing forward, but you would never know it looking at my line. I think my controller is just old and the thumb stick is developing too much play??? I don't know. Anyway...went for -17, -10, -8, -11 for a total of -46..hopefully top 25 or so. see everyone next week.

Thanks Mark...the controller I use is the same one I've used for the past couple years. I have a MUCH newer controller I'm going to try tonight and see how that goes. I do hate putting when I'm constantly pushing or pulling the putts..oh well

Maybe some placebo, but I’m confident with my stroke at least again... not that you could tell with my 2 rounds here... but the less said about that the better 😂

Really is unfortunate because it completely messes with my mindset when I'm playing now. I see a perfectly straight line and I get worried instead of being happy about it.

2 1/2 seasons I haven’t been pulled and I’m pretty damn straight on a majority of my shots. Maybe I’m close to getting pulled, I don’t even know but I know I play fair and so far it’s worked out. I don’t want people thinking they can’t hit straight and worry about getting pulled. Maybe something else is going on, I highly doubt it’s because you are too straight is all I’m saying. Seems something is up with your system, you had issues a few months ago where you couldn’t pullback on your backswing. I just get tired of the I’m too straight and am getting pulled unfairly argument. It sets a bad precedent.

I've been pulled twice this season and the admins have said my round looked normal but my putts were considered "too straight". I'm playing the game as Duke described up above (how the game wants you to play) and both pulls were with different controllers as well. I've talked to the admins and neither of us have any clue what the problem is. I don't know how any of it works but that's my two cents.

I’m not saying anybody is doing it on purpose, but something is not right. Maybe a fraud controller, usb vs Bluetooth connection, internet issues, who knows but I would bet something is off. You can’t just blame the API if you are getting multiple pulls is all. I play with a group of PGA (WT) players who have 1000’s of round on tour and there have been 3-4 pulls over 3 seasons. All were controller issues.
