Hi everyone! I'm the designer of Lunenberg National Golf Club and am excited to host this weeks Euro tour event (my other course, Orchid Trail is hosting the Web.com tour, so I'm pulling double duty with hosting! ) I think Lunenberg is my best course to date (and highest rated currently). There has been some talk when it was newly released that the greens were too difficult. I was going for difficult greens when designing. You will be left with some tricky putts, but if you hit it to the right places, there are quite a few straight putts out there. It is not a "pin seekers" kind of course, but you can still score well (I shot -9 last night in 10mph winds). I recommend getting a few practice rounds in to get used to the greens and find the areas you need to hit it. I will also be broadcasting my rounds as soon as the tournament opens tonight (between 9 and 930) so you can get an idea of what to expect! Good Luck and feel free to post course feedback here (both positive and constructive)!

I really enjoy the course. Yes, the greens are tricky, but to me it's the sort of greens we should be seeing more of to be honest. You can't just slam every putt at the hole. And sinking 10'ers isn't a foregone conclusion.
What do you mean 'when the tournament opens tonight'? Would it not be created for Saturday?

I personally enjoy it, ive shot from -13 to -5 on practice rounds, tee to green is ok but if you get the wrong side of the pin then ur in for a tricky putt, but even when u hit ur spot the putt could still be a little breaker, which in my opinion makes the course its self difficult, this again in my opinion is how course designers can toughen up the courses, make the green tricky, overall opinion its spot on.

Tournaments have always been available right after midnight on Saturdays :-) Just can't report scores till Monday.

For me, my only gripe is that within 2 ft i shouldn't have to aim outside the hole to make the putt. Other than that top notch course, and the greens to help limit scores to a reasonable level and should be a good week. I cant seem to figure the course out, not a knock on the course, more my own lack of skill. Looks wise, one of my favorite courses Ive played that also has teeth. Job well done.

excellent challenge this CC. Iv played 3 times round here and i think the greens are definately tricky but the course has got to have some teeth? Surely? not unfair at all. Really enjoy the challenge. Iv shot -1, -7 and -10. I dont believe the winner next week can enter this tourney cold turkey, u really need to put in the practice!

Just shot -10 in a practice round. Greens are tricky but not impossible - i holed a lot of putts. Had a few 90 something percent shots that stopped it being -13/14 but sure that's just me.
Enjoy the course. Think some of the fairways could stand to be a bit narrower but that's about it.

At first I hated this course because of some three putts I had, but like you said, find the right part of the green and you have a better shot at birdies. I think now I really like this course because it is a challenge with all parts of your game, like laying up, draw, fade, loft, etc. Also I had some of those "92%" shots on random holes. Usually I can avoid that by pausing briefly after backswing and then jamming the thumb stick forward hard and fast. Hole number 4 is a b%& and if the wind is blowing strong you have to be very accurate on the draw or fade off the tee. At the end of the day, I will give it a 5 out of 5 just because it is a well made course and not the typical pin seeker type course.

yeah 92% glitch is very much real around here which is a pain! watch out! But this course has really grown on me.

imo some of the greens are just too tricked out, if you end up on the high side, no chance at stopping the ball on the way down... very poor design aspect imo. one forced fade just to make the fairway with the driver on a 480 yard par 4 is also ill advised, this hole also happens to feature the most tricked green on the course.
i do not enjoy it.

You're just jealous that you're missing out on all the 55's on the PGA! (am I allowed to trash talk since I've left myself open to ridicule for the next few weeks?!)

the two short par fours. I understand what you are trying to do, need an extremely accurate approach to get a birdie. the dogleg left on the back nine is not a green, there is like 10 ft to land the ball, if you are behind the hole you just have to tap it short otherwise you will roll off the front of the green, anything in the front 3/4 of the green doesnt stay on. For the rest of your holes, try to slope more of the green, instead of just by the holes. This course kicked my a**, but there were putts that were on line than took a 90 degree turn 3 ft from the hole. These ridges only left straight putts that were 10 ft 6 in downhill and even if you tapped those, 50/50 lipout. Will definitely see higher scores as the field is concerned idk about leaders. I love the look of the course (visually one of my favorites) but on your next one pretty pretty please try to have only a few holes on ridges instead of the majority.
All of this being said, 1000x better than any course that I will ever make, just my thoughts and probably pretty negative after the way Ive played it.
