This new PGA Tour metric is officially in place - started during Week 30 (Valero Texas Open)
Email has been sent (check spam if you do not see it within 30 minutes or so) Fair Play Policy To introduce this new metric it's best to tell you how TGC Tours expects you to play The Golf Club 2019:
Everyone should be making best efforts to swing within the blue swing channel with extra attention given to the end of your white swing line
The new metric will pull members that miss the blue swing channel the majority of their swings. Putting is not being monitored for this metric. The easiest way to tell if you are complying with this new metric is to ensure that the end of your white swing line falls within the blue swing channel on the majority of your swings.
Discussion I am well aware of what I am asking you to do - swing straight - but not too straight - but not too crooked. I do not like having to police all sides of the swing plane. It is necessary to provide the best environment for competitive online golf. This forum thread will be the central place for further discussion and questions - would like to keep the weekly event threads from being hijacked going forward.

Hi. My swing never ends in the blue cone. It always goes slightly right of it. I can’t help it, and I have learned to adjust my aim to account for it. If you are going to kick people for that, I might as well quit the tour. It’s not like I win every week (or ever) because of it. If you guys are going to be swing Nazis, the tour isn’t really worth having to completely relearn the game. Sorry, but that’s just how I feel. If I even get kicked once for this, I’ll quit and not come back.

If you keep doing that, then you are deliberately taking advantage of an exploit. If you decide to quit because that's not allowed, I will try and emotionally support the admins as much as I can, but no promises they'll get over it.

If I even get kicked once for this, I’ll quit and not come back. I echo a lot of those sentiments. gave up on hitting straight a while a go as I realized I had a swing bias towards the left(pull). Been playing this swing for over a year now and now I’m expected to just change in a weeks notice because of forum warriors complaining about it out of the clear blue? Why is this in place only for pga tour also? Haven’t heard anyone I play with complain about this being an unfair advantage and I play with a lot of players on a daily basis and I’d say about 50 percent or possibly more do not play a straight swing. The guys that do play straight do not think it is an unfair adavantage. You’re going to alienate a lot of people with this decision but I will try my best to comply. If I can’t I too will probably end up quitting the tour.

Why is this in place only for pga tour also? To police elite golfers under our Fair Play Policy.

I’ve read most of that nonsense and disagree, not going to get in an argument about it. The more you pull it or push it the more offline it will go which makes it harder to be precisely accurate. It’d be nice to be able to hit it straight every time but I haven’t had the luxury in doing that. Like i said, I will try to comply but if I can’t I will quit the tour. Or if I can ask to be demoted to euro since this is only in place for pga I will do that.

But I’d suggest making a coherent argument and leaving out the silly swing nazi comments. They serve no purpose except to expose your lack of understanding what the admins are up against and are trying to accomplish.
