I'm left handed, most of my shots have a tendency to be slightly right of centre on both a PS4 and Xbox controller, just saying By the way, great post theduke21 thank you for sharing that. Love seeing those charts, hopefully you are able to get to the bottom of everything.

I'm right handed and use left thumb/left stick. Oops. 😂😂 Well it would make sense then for you to use your right thumb and right joystick. And use the chess piece/nipple pinch grip. You will have more control and be able to swing straighter.

For the record, next week's The Players playing at Sawgrass is one of my favourite courses. I love it immensely. Unfortunately in 5+ years of playing this game I have never done well in the tournament, making I think only one cut. I'm hoping that will change this year but I'm not hopeful. I just end up making some very silly and costly mistakes. I remember one year I was -10 after 10 and then went on to go +5 on the back nine, with zero waterballs on #17. There is just something about that course. I remember when it was so difficult and now it is a much easier test and yet it still messes with me each year.

Try visualizing the shot you want to play and play it out in your head. Then replicate that when you swing. This game is more mental than real golf.

Sorry this might sound dumb, but not sure what you mean by just the tournament? I’ve always used the left thumb/stick going back to Tiger Woods. My natural tendency is to push right though, which kinda seems like the opposite of what it should be. I have to tell myself to pull a little to get it to go straight. My nephew is right handed and uses left stick/both thumbs lol. That seems weird to me, but hey his swing is more consistent than mine so who am I to judge. I’m gonna hit the range with this chess piece style I’m reading about, and see what’s up!

I've been placing my ring finger and index finger either side of the right joystick and using my middle finger to move the stick, it works very well. I use it for putts too, especially medium/long putts. My white line for putts used to look like a dogs hindleg but is now very straight. Like anything new it takes some getting used to.

No thumb whatsoever?! This is madness! I have to try this now.
