Does the tour have access to proximity to green stats? Could be interesting to see on the weekly stats in addition to fairways, green, and putts for a round by round basis

Working on straightening up my swing this week, I think it's working. I'm still doing the pull, near the edge of the cone, once in a while, generally when I'm not concentrating or doing a fast drive. But the good news is I'm getting punished for it, since I'm not playing for it. If anyone out there has access to the API data, I'd love to know how it looks.
Shot a mediocre -10 in the 1st round, and a great -15 2nd round, pretty happy with the start.

Good effort I get them, naturally I will pull, so irons and pitches, when they wander, tend to wander left, but if I go for a fast it's more often a push... again, when I don't get them "straightish". Makes for some interesting variation, and a bit of additional stress, for me at least!!

-20's (inc me) look like toast.
That will be my 7th missed cut this season. All the more annoying because i parred 18 twice & 16 in R1.

First unofficial heads up - if all goes according to plan we'll have the new fair play metric in place for next week's event (Players Championship). If you are concerned about your chances of being pulled (read that as you miss the blue swing channel with the end of your white swing line the majority of the time) you can always email me at commish@tgctours.com and I will check either this week's (if you've played) or last week's event and let you know if you would have passed/failed.
Most of you have nothing to worry about as long as you are trying to keep the end of your white swing line in the blue swing channel.
I'll send out a bit more of an official update later tonight via email so that it hits all PGA players.
Just know that I will be fairly unsympathetic to anyone that says a push/pull is their natural swing and that they can't adjust to hit the blue swing channel. If that's the case then you are probably not in the proper tour. Anyone that can't adjust their swing straighter is either not trying hard enough or not skilled enough to be a PGA Tour member.
This will be a major change for a few of you - for the majority of you it's status quo for your TGCT rounds.
There is a small chance Tim can't get to it in time - so until I announce it's officially in - it's not. Just trying to give everyone as much time as possible to adjust should they be worried.

Bought a new controller tonight so I can stop flirting with the straight swinging API danger. Definitely a bit of an adjustment and I am seeing more variance than in the old controller that I guess I had worn a groove in. Still hitting it pretty straight though, so looking forward to practicing for The Players. If anyone’s curious, here’s the data from my swings at the API this week. First picture is all putts, second is approaches, third is all shots. This is from a stock gold DS4 controller that had basically only been used to play TGC since I got it in December. Pretty crazy. Even crazier I had like 2 top 10s total with it. 😒

But thishelps to confirm to me that a DS4 in general has a bias towards slightly right of center regardless of swing type.

I think most people are right handed and use the right joystick so the natural thumb motion veers to the right slightly swinging through.
