Started off with a nice clean card -14!! Without a push/pull swing in sight ๐๐ Then round 2 happened with its completely random wind and my greens in reg fell to about 20% ๐ throw in a 3 putt bogey and you get a -6 2nd round for -20 at the cut. Think that might just scrape in for the weekend

I only ask because the schedule on site says we're playing The Greens @ Old Buckhead but on PC the event is Hoback Range Sports Club

Yeah Hoback on PS4 too. But awesome designed course. Fun but reasonably challenging. Oh, I've been going old school or whatever the past few weeks with no aiming circle, no putting marker, and no swing feedback. The cleaner look helps you focus more and not seeing your lines frees you up to just focus on hitting shots w/out the paralysis and paranoia of analyzing every swing.

Yeah I got some practice in on Buckhead, all for not...
Really focused on staying straighter for round 1 and surprisingly it wasnโt that hard. I still definitely have a small pull tendency but Iโd say 80% of my shots were completely inside the blue. Actually, the extra focus led to some really accurate iron play on the front 9. If it werenโt for mediocre putting and a par on a 5 coming in it couldโve been a special round. -13

Looks like maybe they didnโt get around to changing the schedule on the societies.
I rescheduled this one to Buckhead a couple weeks back after taking the scheduling.
But Hoback is a fine course and should play pretty well. Was just part of my shift to try to provide similar settings to the IRL venue when I can.

It is a nice track, and the settings were well done. Doesn't remind me of Bay Hill but no complaints
Too bad about the lack of info, I played 3 rounds on Buckhead last night which is way more than I usually practice. I mostly did so because I really liked that course as well, al for naught. Didn't want to practice today and then play later in the week, as Sunday afternoons my wife and I hire a babysitter to take our little monster out somewhere and give us the apartment to ourselves. It's my only chance for an hour and a half of uninterrupted video gaming until next sunday

I changed it but it didn't take - hb doesn't do so well with certain tournament edits.

Anyway I am in at -50. Pretty sure the leader on PS4 (James) is in at -51 with an eagle on the last (based on my in round leaderboard watching). I was -50 on the 72nd tee box and thought a birdie was at best a lost tie break, couldn't reach in two into the wind. Then completely blew my 3rd to leave like 17 ft and missed the putt for bird.
The round 4 conditions were a fun challenge

This whole swinging straight thing has a visual learning curve for me. I'm not seeing the shots the same way and it shows. If I couldn't putt I would have been in the -30s but luckily it's something I'm good at. Oh well, I'll probably get my visuals back in time for the community to discover another exploit I'm using.

Kudos to you for changing. Iโm currently struggling to hit it straight and it cost me 3 strokes in round 1. Reality...if using the push method that NEVER happens. So itโs just better to play it straight up in my opinion. Glad you switched.

So thats what ma meant when she said if I keep pushing I could achieve anything.
She said she was pulling for me once, so I guess she was exploiting

59-65-58-63 - 43 under total
Apart from Round 3, which i was really happy with, each round just had 2-3 really poor holes.
R1 - Very slow Flop @ 16 and a rubbish three putt @ 18
R2 - Missed a 9 footer @ 13, bogied 14 and then parred 18 again
R4 - Three putted 12 from 9 feet thanks to a par putt that broke a foot when the grid said it wasn't doing anything.
Played well enough to get into the Late 40's at least
Pleased we ended up playing this as i totally hated the greens at the other course.

The round 4 conditions were a fun challenge I eagled the last? I swear I don't remember anything about my rounds except for bad stuff. I know I made an idiotic bogey somewhere but have no idea what hole and that I yipped several putts but less than normal using no marker. I have an amnesia like memory total opposite of the "photographic" memory fadge claims to, I mean, has.

Like a Yorkshire version of Mystic Meg. Some of that crap I saw last night, I wished I could forget. The memory isnโt always a blessing.
