New controller for me starting this week.
Made sure it was "up to par".
See what I did there?
The new controller feels dumb.
I hate it, but my old one is sh%$.
Probably just me.
😬😬

So, I hit it absolutely all over the place in R1, well that's a lie, I pulled the neck out of everything... Didn't seem to matter what I did, the ball was going left. Even straight-ish lines were up the left side of the swing channel - so left they went...
I managed to nail a few putts back 9 to even get to -5.
R2, after I turned off the Playstation, had some dinner and came back, I hit it much better, but then stared with my 'ole pushing or pulling putts thing... So, you know, those ones with literally a click or 2 of break, or ones that require no adjustment, but have a couple of little breaks along the way? Well I missed all of those after leaving myself in some decent spots for once. -7
Missed cut. Odd, as I usually play pretty well round here, but not this time.

I guess if the game forced you to swing straight as intended and these guys say they can't do that they would have just quit the game? Probably not but would be on a lower tour.
I am a firm believer we should all switch to beginner clubs. It would fix this and give Xbox players a fighting chance

The game has reached it's maturity. We now have multiple exploits, and a newly discovered way to game the API as well. I would be surprised if the API got much action other than bad controllers. If I were using an exploit, I would make sure to add a few swings of the other variety in to stay off the radar. I feel for TGC Tours and everyone that puts so much effort into these competitions as multiple discussions have shown me that "competition" is the wrong word to describe what is going on. I know this is HB's fault, and I intend to continue to play and comment here at TGC Tours. I had to say something because I now see individuals on leaderboards and am completely discouraged knowing I have no chance.
Anyone that finishes regularly below the top 20, hit me up as I am looking to find some rivalries to keep the game interesting for me.

I hit it well enough to reach -60 and beyond but I missed a ton of makeable putts. I think people should focus more on putting than on the full swing. Golfers make that mistake in real life too. And I try to pull back and push through in the straightest way possible. It's near impossible really to get STRAIGHT lines but it is a rewarding feeling to swing straight (enough) and see the ball go where you want it to.

I am a firm believer we should all switch to beginner clubs. It would fix this and give Xbox players a fighting chance Hey PGA guys! Sorry I've been out of the forums for a bit. I had a pretty back whack to the head in a basketball game and got a concussion. Been playing recently but not well. Then most recently had a kid that's been sick for a few days and now my other kid is sick as well. It's been a load of fun at my house lol. OK, now because of all of this I've clearly missed some stuff. First off, I'm sorry I don't know but what is the exploit with the intentional pushing and pulling? Does that somehow give you an unfair advantage. I mean I push and pull shots, not intentionally, but I don't always push it up and down perfectly straight. I try to, just doesn't work out, I'm not that consistent lol. However when I miss that straight line, my shots don't get better, that's for sure lol. Also, in defense of Adam, he was an XB1 player for a while and one of the best of them. I know he has a natural push to his shot and he's always played to that. He got the game on PC so that he could work on course design and then played it on there and noticed a huge difference with his tempo. Now that he has a more consistent tempo, he's shooting up the leaderboards, but even before that on XB1 he was the #2 guy for a long time as well. I'd have to say I don't think he's intentionally trying to game the system. But I'm curious about how the pushing and pulling helps just for my knowledge. My game is a little all over the place at the moment sadly. I'm working on trying to find a level of consistency again. Funny enough, I played the Euro event last week to try to work on my game and I shot -57 lol. I would have won the tournament if I was on Euro. So I know I can play with some consistency if I can get everything under control. Hopefully I'll be back playing well again soon. Came in T27 in the WGC event last week, so we'll see if I can build off of that. As far as your suggestion for Beginner clubs SweetTeeBag, I don't know that it'll work because I think that most people would lose interest if you had to use beginner clubs. I mean probably mostly the PS4 and PC guys. I still am holding on to the fact that I believe XB1 guys can compete and maybe it's a little tougher, but I want to try to do it for the XB1 guys. Adam left us so he's dead to us! Ha just kidding, he's a really nice dude actually and really loves the game. Anyway, all that being said. Good luck to everyone this week! Shoot them low boys!

Putting is important, but if you can slap around any shot and be inside 10 feet 75% of the time, the best putter in the world that is twice as far from the hole can't out-putt that. Forgot who said it earlier, but this game has reached maturity. The irony is we were saying TGC2019 was TGC2.1, in that it completed the gaps that TGC2 had... but here we are all over again realizing all the incompleteness the game has... and the fact the developers have completely abandoned it.

I actually think it is time for a new game. We need a whole new set of things to complain about. Can't wait.
