After three straight missed cuts and the worst stretch of my TGC career, I'm changing my routines this week.
Playing in the morning and holding off on my First round until Tuesday.
Good luck guys!

Should be a pretty relaxing week for the most part. While this course was designed for lower tours it can still catch you out on poor strategy and poor execution. With plenty of bold shots for the brave and that typical heroic cat strat design style, who will come out on top this week?

So far (thru 3 rounds), it's playing pretty fun. Probably could have ramped up the conditions a little bit for toughness, but I'm enjoying it. Round 4 looks to be the toughest, which I didn't want to attack right now. That being said, the winning score will be pretty low. I'm still working on that part guys, I'll get the toughness dialed in. There are so many great courses out there. Some challenging, some not as much. I surely don't want to just dial in high and very high winds with 187 greens to artificially make it hard on you guys.
Thanks again for the course Thomas!

Totally agree, in my opinion i think there should be at least 1 round maybe 2 with tougher conditions, 1 before the cut 1 after and a couple of more moderate round conditions. like i said IMO. Anyway a pretty good job done so far.

Great R1 at -16. Horrible R2 at -6. Likely cut after being near top R1. R2 full of very slow downswings, terrible putting, and bad bounces

I stepped away after 3 bogeys on the front nine had me at even par. Need to play nearly perfect from here to advance to the weekend I guess. Nearly every swing for me was a slow downswing, don’t know what was up.
It’s a shame too because I love the course. Beautiful with a distinctly unique vibe, plus a PSA for global warming...what’s not to like.

Managed to miss a 3 foot bogey on 3 and a 4 foot birdie on 9. Also had a slow downswing into the water with my drive on 8. Was -3 through 9. Missed what should have been an easy 11 foot birdie on 10. Ended up at -9 for the first round.
Round 2 started better with eagles on 2 and 4, and missed another eagle from 37 feet by 6 inches on 5. I then missed a 13 footer on 6 and put my drive on 7 in the water. I had a fast downswing on the approach but made a 54 foot par. Had a slow downswing off the tee into the bunker on 9 but managed to birdie anyway and was -6 at the turn. Missed an easy 11 footer on 10 for the second round in a row, then was just a bit high on a 20 foot eagle putt on 11. Left a birdie putt on 13 3 inches short. Missed an 8 foot birdie on 14. Put a 5 foot putt 12 feet long on 15 and 3-putted for bogey. Finished birdie-eagle-birdie but probably not enough to make the cut with a -11 in the second round. I'd make a lot of cuts if I could, y'know, actually sink 3-5 foot putts.

First round -11 and in 46th place 😳😳😳 Should have been 2-3 shots better but I feel that way every round. Shot -14 in the 2nd for -25 at the cut which will make it but probably still middle of the pack this week. Some incredible scores going up

Nearly every swing for me was a slow downswing, don’t know what was up. It’s a shame too because I love the course. Beautiful with a distinctly unique vibe, plus a PSA for global warming...what’s not to like. What a weird event for me. I rattled off a -8 on the back nine after jumping back into the game. Round 2 was one of the most bizarre I’ve played. 1 albatross, 3 eagles, 3 birdies. Quite positive I’ve never posted a -12 that way. In the end -20 won’t be enough for the weekend and my valiant effort to recover from my wonky first nine fell short. A memorable event for me at least. Ah yes, my albatross was one of those “nothing to be proud of here” pure luck shots after I sent it way left with a fast downswing.... Good times!

I came within inches of 2 albies in round 2 but just came up short. I’ll take the tap in eagles but man they were so close

If my -22 made the cut, I at least joined the T2 PC group at -45 with a solid -14 finish.
