No other words.
A heck of a parting gift.

Does - 23 make the cut?
Strange "golf courses" we play.

Thought I'd play this for fun...Down the middle off the 1st tee, blocked out by trees. Enough.

Hey hey. There’s still 5 more weeks of parting gifts after this! At least two are established RCRs that shouldn’t rock the boat.

Thought I'd play this for fun...Down the middle off the 1st tee, blocked out by trees. Enough. For those that don't play this, this is what is being referred to here. Playing for fun just as a warm up, but this is my "reward" for striping it down the middle at the 1st.
I am not in this tournament so i have no skin in the game and i'm not angry about it, but can i just ask very calmly how this stuff gets through the rangering/scheduling process?
Or if any designer can tell me why on earth anyone would design a hole like this? If you want to force someone to lay up, that's one thing, but i'm going to have to hit a 30 yard draw just to lay up. And there was no shot off the tee that would have put me in a better position. Genuine question asked in good faith. I just don't get it

Say what you will about the course, capturing the utter disappointment of stepping onto the 1st tee of a minor event called the "Puerto Rico Open" was pretty damn spot on this week.

To be fair its a par 5, hit 2w off the tee and then play through the gap in the trees that is there if you don't automatically go with driver. I just birdied the hole doing that. Maybe I'll come out of retirement this week.......and probably par it when it matters.

frank70 put it well. He shot a decent number (and many people use the numbers people post to defend course selections) but it's just not a very good golf course.
2/3's of the holes are massive doglegs or require you to play through trees. Half the pins are on those plateaus between red slopes on either side.
I should say, i think the WGC course is really really good, so it's not that i hate everything (honest ) but the non Top 50 guys got a raw deal here. There's literally hundreds of tracks better than this

I registered a new forum account that accurately describes me. I have deleted two accounts already. *oops*
Anyways, I used a DS4 controller for Round 1 that should have been put to the side because it hits very straight. This happened because I own three black DS4 controllers and a dark blue one. One black DS4 doesn't charge and is battery dead. Long story short: When I played on PC a couple of weeks ago I used all of my DS4's and my XB1 there to get API feedback from Admin.
In the rotation of all of those controllers, I ended up not knowing which of my two black DS4's was the one I had been using and I assumed the one I was using for this event was the one I had been using for the last year or so plus. I believe I was using the wrong one, and one that I had used in the past that hits very straight. I might get an API pull this week for my R1.
I switched up back to my normal DS4 for the last three rounds.
I went -14 -12 -9 -9 for a -44 overall. It might stand, it might not. I didn't have issues with this course after learning to not blindly hit Driver on the first tee.

Laying up on uphill par5s is reason number 78 why people hate the course selections. Hopefully it improves in a month or so.

-10 in round 1 and -16 round 2 -26 thru 2 2nd round stuck a lot of approach shots and eagled the 1st hole from 76 yards.

Well, another week, and another shrinking leaderboard.
Something in the water over in Japan, surely... 1st time for this fella (at least on PGA). Looks like he overstepped the mark a time or two on Euro earlier in the year. Still, it was a little surprising that he got one on PGA after 13 straight green lights.
Our 2nd "victim", from the Land of the Free... A large number of "malfunctions" on Euro before promo to PGA. Not quite the clean PGA streak from his Far Eastern counterpart, but he did manage one event before getting the chop on PGA. Somewhat less surprised at this one, though truly disappointed.
EDIT - Fake News
