Dale's decided to step away from scheduling the PGA Tour - just wanted to thank him for the countless hours he put in to help keep the PGA Tour going. Really appreciate all you did for the tours Dale - enjoy some time off!
Tyler Duke is going to step in and start scheduling for the remainder of the season. PGA is set up through W29 so he'll start working on W30 and beyond shortly.

Thanks to Dale! Never gonna keep everyone happy, and I may or may not have had a Dale voodoo doll in the corner for certain occasions, but please don’t misplace my gratitude as anything than genuine. Tough task.
Best of luck to Tyler. I think he’ll do a great job. As per Tim, happy to lend some assistance if required, despite somewhat limited time due to watching the leaderboards 24/7 - 365 in case anyone fails API.

Thanks everyone. I’ll use this as a bit of an introduction post and to relay what my ideas and methods will probably be.
First I want to say that Dale did a great job for multiple years up here dealing with all of us. Always had great interactions with him when talking about a few of my courses that hosted events and I still maintain that the majority of complaints people had weren’t even things he could really control. And also as a dad with a job, it’s impressive he kept up with all of this so well.
For my strategy coming in, I don’t necessarily agree with adding a ton more RCR’s like some people want. It depends on the situation, but I think a solid balance is important. But one thing I will be focusing on is trying to have the fictional courses at least look like a similar setting as the tournament we’ll be playing in. That isn’t always easy but I’ve made a couple of year long pga schedules in my offline society so I have done tons of course digging in the past to find tracks that fit the setting.
I’m not going to be afraid to schedule old courses/courses we’ve used in the past if they successfully hosted a tournament or maybe got looked over a long time ago. I’ll obviously be open to scheduling new course that are deserving of tournaments, but it’s not a bad thing to let them marinate a bit either. One thing I’ve maintained is classic courses often times get left in the dust with how many courses get churned out on here. I like the idea of bringing some of those back from time to time. These will ideally just be the best of the best from the history of TGCT, though.
You can still expect plenty of difficulty. We should be playing some of the hardest courses with some of the hardest conditions up here fairly often, but I always want it to be fair. I also want plenty of variation. Keeping everyone interested and on their toes is important. The last thing I want is thoughtless, repetitive golf.
I’ll always be open to discussing courses and setup decisions any week as long as it’s in a respectful manner. I’m also considering making a weekly post on the course and my thought process on the setup if that’s something everyone would be interested in and if Doyley ok’s it.
Looking forward to it.

I am looking forward to 4 rounds here. Very firm, very fast, in very high winds

Appreciate the summary and love the criteria discussed. This position is an undeserved punching bag, but I do believe transparency in explaining selections and conditions will help go a long way.

Why anyone would want to do that is well beyond my range of understanding, but the internet is a weird and wonderful place... Oddly enough I would like to do it. I just don't have the time available to do it properly. But this is a great community and having someone take the time and put the effort in to setting up great experiences for the users, just as Admin does all the time, is really invaluable...to me anyhow. As for those who will complain without also rolling up their sleeves and helping...they deserve nothing but our complete and utter indifference!

Looks like there'll be at least a couple brand new PGA level rangers coming along with you, assuming of course they decide to ranger PGA courses and not CC-Am courses. Look forward to working with you and if you have any ranger specific questions or requests feel free to get in touch with me anytime. And also, my condolences on your new position.

I think it would be most challenging and identify the best versatile player if we used four extremely different conditions over the four rounds. It gets old playing the same basic conditions every tourney. Very soft/slow - Very firm/fast and Very high winds would be engaging. But you might get run out of here with pitchforks stuck in you.
