Bogeyed the opening up hole. Took a deep breath and started rattling off the birdies after that. -12 after day one. Get ready for some low scores and a tough cut line.
Not surprising given that it’s a Mayday course, but damn what a beauty.

I don’t like the birdie-fest courses. I get slow or fast downswings every other shot, so I can rarely shoot better than -10 on any course in the game

I was absolutely dialed in in the opening round from tee to green but my putting was awful. Not my usual brand of bad because these were all short birdie putts. I eagled all 4 par 5 which saved the day for an opening round -12 which could and should have been about 15-16 under.
Shot another -12 round 2 to go -24 at the cut.
Was cruising again with a -6 on the front despite tougher conditions and felt like I may have an outside shot at contending and then disaster struck on 10. I pulled my 2nd shot and hit the cart path and took a huge bounce into the woods. Managed to hack my way out and had a 10 footer for par...slid right by the edge and trickled another 25-30 feet right off the green and wound up with a double. Finished -7 for the round and left with what could have been. Decided to stop and regroup...that 1 bad hole just killed me.

I need some good fortune. Missed last two cuts badly.

Managed to miss a 7 footer on the very first hole. Then missed a 12 footer on 3 and 3-putted 5. Also missed a 9 footer on 9. And lipped out a 4 footer on 10. Lipped out a 9 footer on 17.
I was hitting the ball well though for the entire round, was -10 through 17, then I had a slow downswing into the water on 18 and had to re-hit. Followed that with a fast downswing into the bunker, and bogeyed to finish a pretty disastrous round of 63. Should have been in the 50s easily.
In the second round I had four more lip-outs on 5, 7, 9, and 14 (the one on 9 was part of a bogey 3-putt). Missed a bunch of 15 footers too. Ended up shooting a 67.
So probably another missed cut due to putting, especially the 6 lip-outs.

Went ahead and played my second round, a good but not great -8.
Each of my first two rounds featured one bad swing that led to a bogey, other than that I played pretty steady.
Thinking -20 gets me to the weekend but I’ll wait and see, like I said I think people are going to score well so you never know.

Cut will be -19, because I shot -18, and when I play average or a little below average, I miss the cut by 1 shot. -7 start was bad...tempo issues and missed a few short putts. Round 2 I played good and shot -11, but not enough I suspect. Good luck all

Had to take a step back from round 3, tempo was not great and the conditions are tough. I'm playing this one out even though I may miss the cut.
I hear that we need tougher courses/conditions. Message received, I'll do my best guys.

I think whether it's a real life game or a vid game, competition is simply competition. And when you're kickin ss but then make a self-inflicted error it leaves a hole in your heart. Your story makes me re-live last week...and my 3rd rd triple bogey when top 3 was looking possible. Sorry brother. ☹

Period I cannot imagine how tough it would be to schedule for the PGA and deal with the weekly shitstorm of hate. Has to ruin the fun for you coruler. Toddfather you have it easy by comparison, only a handful of us even post on here and rarely blame the course!

Period I cannot imagine how tough it would be to schedule for the PGA and deal with the weekly shitstorm of hate. Has to ruin the fun for you coruler. Toddfather you have it easy by comparison, only a handful of us even post on here and rarely blame the course! My take on scheduling... I was asked to help the community and I said yes. As this is my first year in this position, I'm still getting used to it. Have I made mistakes, of course. I will surely make more. I'm not looking for a pat on the back, I'm just trying to put out appropriate courses that are fun and challenging for the European Tour. That being said, I'm always open to suggestions. The guys that post here in the Euro threads have been great 99% of the time and I appreciate that. I know there will be criticisms but that's ok. I know it's not reality to expect everyone to be happy. My hope is that this year will be a positive experience and if I'm asked back next year that I can once again help this community. Most of us are competitive people, but let's not forget that we are playing a VIDEO GAME, which is put together by volunteers that charge their members exactly $0! The admins do a fantastic job keeping this TGCTours a fun place to come back to. I appreciate their hard work on our behalf.
