In reply to ..... Rangers: Take lag spikes seriously. That minor slideshow you encountered on a solo hole might not have felt like a big deal in a casual testing round, but it could cost someone the tournament later on and ultra competitive players aren't going to take it well.
All lag that’s noticed is reported, even an area that you’re not sure if it lagged or not is pointed out, that way it can be checked by the next Ranger. That said there was obviously lag when you all played so i can only presume the lighting(?) was different to when we Rangered.
Dylan - Your skills in the designer are off the chart but this course beat me up with all the elevation changes, keep up the good work

This week it's lag..Next week it'll be something else. All white background noise in the big picture. God I hate agreeing with this guy, makes me feel dirty😖. When something, lag etc.impacts a swing or a hole or a round, well, it just does, it happened. I kind of hope it happened to everybody else and not just me. Bottom line, even if it is punishing, we still have guys posting -17s, -16s and the like. If you think your -12 would have been a -16, then someone's-15 maybe would have been a -19. Shoot the shot you are given and if you hate it that much, after your tournament round go play a round on a course that gives you some pleasure. I will be glad to ranger or schedule. No idea what that means or what I am doing but hey, you guys know you wouldn't be able to get to me.😁

I'm done with scheduling courses. You guys can find a new punching bag and verbally assault them going forward. It was not a pleasure working with you Give it to me guys. I want to come out of this thread bloodied! Would love any feedback you have. Really don’t think you’re going to get much hate. Most of this dialogue is more of an ongoing feud from a few guys who have taken passive aggressive shots at course selection every week. And now some of us are hoping to turn it into more of a constructive thing so this thread doesn’t suck every week. This was the best course for a challenge we’ve had this year. Makes you stay dialed in every swing. One bad tempo means O.B. a lot of times. Actually think the greens were fantastic. If you were near the pin you usually had a flat putt which I’ve been begging for. My only complaints were the low lighting which I think 1. Doesn’t give your course the nice lighting it deserves to show off and 2. Maybe caused some shadow lag. Hole 17 was also a ***** but I should’ve just hit a better shot lol. Round 3 I missed 10 feet right and rolled 40 yards back off the green, flopped back up 10 feet short and rolled down to my feet again and made double. 🤬

Like I said, loved that you were rewarded with flatter putts when you got close to tough pins. Multi-tiered greens can be tricky, especially since we get a small green grid instead of a full grid. You flatten out the bottom tier and it plays great for that pin, but then you don’t realize someone plays up to the top tier for a different pin and if it barely rolls down from the top tier it rolls all the way through the flat part on the bottom tier off the green. Just the nature of the beast lol.

I have to say for my first ever course on a tour event. I’m glad to receive all this feedback, It’s nice to watch you guys tear it up both scoring and critiquing wise. Hopefully I’ll nail it on the head next time. Hope you all enjoy your rounds at least a little bit. Thanks for registering and good luck to everyone!

I recently signed up to be a Ranger, and as a medium PGA player on an original PS4 I feel like my input can only be helpful. I didn't get a chance to Ranger this course, but I will say that those who did would have noted any lag that was encountered. Pretty sure the high winds and low lighting are the culprits on this as I only had issues on #18 in round number one. Off and away with an unspectacular -13. Did make eagle on the short par 4 on the front, and birdied #17 after an excellent tee shot. Should be interesting over the next three rounds.
I also understand that guys want to use RCR's as much as possible, but as a designer I put over 60 hours into a course with the hopes of getting it used on the PGA Tour. I was all set to achieve my goal until y'all ran Dale off. It would be a shame to see designers that put so much time in and contribute so heavily to the community to have very little shot at getting a course used on the top tour in favor of a poorly done RCR or a poorly re-worked Lidar course.
My hat is off to the next person that chooses to volunteer for the scheduling job on the PGA.

I'm done with scheduling courses. You guys can find a new punching bag and verbally assault them going forward. It was not a pleasure working with you Give it to me guys. I want to come out of this thread bloodied! Would love any feedback you have. I think it's a great course for skins with friends. Because of the wide array of potential scores for any particular hole. I will continue to stand by my belief that the designers put a ton of time into sculpting the course for a particular firmness and speed... so when we alter those over 4 rounds any given week, it takes the dozens (hundreds?) of hours the designer spent ensuring the course played well and throws it out the window... and now we have to hope a handful of volunteers can audit it on 3 different platforms across 4 pins across 5 firmness settings, 6 lighting settings, etc etc... just seems silly. Simplify the process to make it easier on everyone, that's all. A green speed of 153 that is set to 187 that causes balls to never hold greens is just as frustrating as a course that defaults to 183 that gets set to 144 so every ball hangs up on the tiered backstop where the yellow slope turns to green. We all play the same conditions, but that doesn't mean they aren't stupid and just not enjoyable for the spirit of the designer's work.

Give it to me guys. I want to come out of this thread bloodied! Would love any feedback you have. One bad tempo means O.B. a lot of times. Which is utter nonsense. I just pushed a shot by a yard @ No 7 and taken a six. When i could have played from the position i landed in and made a five at worst.
Just.....why?
And then i get to the next hole and a vrtually idential area is in bounds. It's not even consistent

Idk man, Dale kicked it off with a nice first round. Adam (Z3nz) posted a nice -52 and Im not sure what the PS4 leaderboard is haha.

It was not a pleasure working with you The most thankless volunteer job in the community. Give them Blunderbuss and a winning score of -76 and it’s a ridiculous birdie-fest, but if they don’t make enough birdies the course is awful and stupid. It’s literally a no-win situation. This is what it is like playing on Xbox1 on a daily basis. It's hard and at times and annoying but it's why I keep playing the game. You never know how the gameplay is gonna be in 5 minutes. Go from smooth to jittery with a snap of a finger. Kinda find it fun even though I rarely sit atop of a leaderboard. I will complain from time to time among my friends. But it's all in good fun.
