I'm done with scheduling courses. You guys can find a new punching bag and verbally assault them going forward. It was not a pleasure working with you Don't let them get to you man. People love to rage at anything other than themselves. Absolutely loved the course this week. If it were up to me, all the courses on the PGA would be this challenging. It's by far the most fun imo. Ended up at -52 with 2 bogeys in the final round. I doubt it will be enough for the win, but you never know! I get to be nervous all week.

It was not a pleasure working with you The most thankless volunteer job in the community. Give them Blunderbuss and a winning score of -76 and it’s a ridiculous birdie-fest, but if they don’t make enough birdies the course is awful and stupid. It’s literally a no-win situation.

FYI - Habs has been banned until March. Anyone that goes out of their way to harass our volunteer staff will meet same fate. Dale also was banned due to his lack of restraint but I removed that post.

Console players have dealt with a few courses recently here that have had some pretty bad lag spikes all over the course that can really screw up our round with a swing or two. With that being said, I think Dale does a fine job and something like that isn't really on him or his fault since he also plays on PC. This is a good and challenging course but the lighting/spikes were pretty brutal, which was also the case at Reston Hills for PS4 players.

Default isn’t in Dales vocabulary. Actually saying here that it shouldn't have been default lighting because the designer's default lighting is 2 minutes after sunrise for some reason. Here is where I see problems coming into play. We spend time rangering courses but don’t find the issues because we customize too many things and it’s not possible to ranger every permutation on every platform. The more we leave default (firmness, lighting, speeds) - the better the ranger data would be. I have yet to play but if the crowds aren’t causing the lag - then what is it and why did rangering not catch it?

We have very few Rangers that are PGA level - So my suggestion would be to volunteer your time to help improve your tour (and others) by becoming a Ranger. (this message is to all PGA players)
I will never ask our schedulers to tone down the variety of settings on tours - we had that for TGC2 and it was ultra-boring.

Let the course drive the difficulty though. Plus it would make the time folks take practicing have meaning. When you practice a quirky course a certain way then it’s set completely different from designers default, it’s a waste of time. I barely have enough time to play pga rounds with a second kid. Plus rangering doesn’t matter much with the way we are choosing courses.

I hear you man, but I played on XB1 for over 300 hours and made it to the PGA on there. I only recently made the switch to PC a couple weeks ago. I know all about inconsistent tempos, but for people to blame it on the scheduler is just childish. There's someone who was -30 after 2 rounds on PS4 which was actually better than where I was after 2 rounds. This game will continue to give bad tempos randomly for as long as we play this game. I had 2 in the first round alone and I'm on PC. These guys put a ton of effort picking out these courses and play testing them and they're not getting paid to do it. The least we could do is treat them with respect when we have a complaint. End rant.

Plus rangering doesn’t matter much with the way we are choosing courses. Totally disagree with this - Rangering is very important and saying that it doesn't matter much is just false.

When you practice a quirky course a certain way then it’s set completely different from designers default, it’s a waste of time. This is what the weather report is for - you can eliminate a good chunk of the conditions you won't face. Practicing what you will encounter is very easy to do if you make use of this feature.

There's plenty of room to disagree with opinions or decisions in a respectful way. My only point was we've had a few courses in recent weeks with either crazy lighting that drives some weird spikes or too much planting/crowds that drives that. I think the most we can do on here is to at least try to play as optimal of courses as possible that don't add on to the already inconsistent tempos at times. Ideally we want as few RNG factors coming into play as possible. This is on designers too. We play top notch courses on this game from the top designers most weeks. Designers need to be careful with plant meters and lighting when publishing courses. Are those huge stacks of bushes and rocks 40 yards behind 18 green worth the hole running terribly for 75% of the people that play the course? Since most designers are on PC, they won't notice a lot of the time that the course may run poorly on console but it needs to be something they keep in mind. It's definitely a tricky spot that involves everyone from the scheduler to rangers to the designer and if HB had a bit more optimized game it wouldn't be an issue. But at the end of the day it's just a game and everyone should try to take 30 minutes off after their round to cool down and then come in here to at least make some constructive points.

I do believe Dale gets excessively harassed. At the same time, this tour has used 2-3 courses with Challenge Circuit-Am level difficulty this season, which is both confusing and frustrating. These two statements can be mutually exclusive.
