Christian burysaints29 , just be sure to rake the bunkers after you hit out of them. You’d be amazed at the mess some of the prior “guests” had left them in. 😂 I'll try my best, no promises though. I can promise that there will be no Patrick Reed funny business in any of the bunkers though.

Covid-19 and all that OK Peter stop sneaking on to the golf course when it's closed.

When I played IRL last Tuesday week they had removed all rakes from bunkers. Obviously didn't help, they closed the course 5 days later and now I'll have to stay home even more than I do now!

Designed by Dirtbags - Week 8 FinalThose who don't like the leaderboards…..look away now!Not unexpectedly Chuck's Violinguy69 course received favourable reviews and we can only hope Dan catcherman22 will consider it a worthy addition to his tour list. We had a new virgin to deflower in the shape of Greg McMillan honeybadger64 this week. Warm welcome to you Greg. Mr Consistent Ernie cappy1 finally found his way back to the top of the week's leaderboard but had to settle for a share of the spoils with in form Marc Crazy Croc And for the first time this season Ken jg24kl appears on the podium in 3rd. See you at Colonial!! Onwards!!!

SkyBlueBen Finished my 2 rounds at Colonial CC. I was fighting my swing both rounds. VS, VF, F and S. Was all over the place lol. Even under a bridge on one hole lol. Should have taken a screenshot. I finish (-5) and (-1) for (-6) total. I really enjoyed the course. hoosierhoops24Jeff, what are the main differences between your Colonial Tour version and the Lidar version? Which on plays harder in your opinion, more realistic? I enjoyed the Tour version but I am also a big fan of Lidar courses. Thanks

Welcome to this weeks A Round With The Duffer from Colonial CC (Tour) by Jeff Wildridge hoosierhoops24As I trudged off Augusthorn on Sunday I vowed to take a week off pixel golf. True to form I never listen to good advice so off I set on Colonial. A tale of two rounds. The first one (recorded) went very well though I must have set some kind of record for missing 9 foot putts. Where's Norris McWhirter when you need him? The second round is where it all started to unravel. Tootling along quite nicely, I then misjudged the par 3 13th and slipped on the speedo's. Rather than doing the sensible thing and hit again from the tee I decided to go for the challenge and dissect the trees from the drop. Water. So decided to drop it round the back of the building and hit over. Water. To Spandau Ballet it, I ended up with a 10 but no doubt the utmost respect from Water Boy Frans fransslabakThe course? As a committed lover of RCR's I enjoyed every minute of it. Thought Jeff had done a lovely job of Colonial and I will be a regular visitor. Looking forward to giving his LiDAR version the once over. Onwards!!!

It was my first published course and although in hindsight there are several things I could have done better, I had a blast working on it.

If you like this, I'm pretty sure you'll really like Austin CC.

I enjoyed the Tour version but I am also a big fan of Lidar courses. Thanks I don't think Jeff saw the second half of your post Wade, so as the guy who reviewed the course and deemed it Tour Worthy I will tell you. As I understand it, both the courses are Lidar, but the original version only had one set of tees (members tees) and at my suggestion Jeff added more teeing options for the Tours. Otherwise I think they are pretty much the same.

Played round one today. I should really read things properly as I had a practice on the standard Lidar version which was of course very similar but winds were different. I enjoyed both of the rounds and it is a subtle test on the greens where I found the lines hard to read and saw several drift by. Anyway it was a reasonable -7 with no backwards steps but I predict that score will be beaten like a naughty dog.

I really enjoyed this course. I felt I played it really well but just didn't get the scores.
-2 on both rounds. It felt like it should have been easy.
Weirdly I played what seemed like a really hard course after this and got -6

Otherwise I think they are pretty much the same. Actually I didn't see the second part. The Colonial CC Tour version has only one set of tees with more difficult pin positions, tougher conditions and crowds. The Colonial CC Lidar version has 3 sets of tees with an easier setup and no crowds. Both are lidar versions, I just forgot to add that to the Tour Version when I published it. The Tour Version also has a back tee position on the par 3 13th. Those are the basic differences.
