I've been pulled twice this season for my putts being too straight with two different stock DS4 controllers, so it's 100% possible to get pulled just by playing normally and fully within the realm of human capability. Pretty frustrating, if you ask me. Not like I'm just going to deliberately start hitting wonky putts just to avoid getting DQ'd. *shrugs* It is not possible to get pulled for just playing normally and within the realm of human capability... TO get pulled by the API, you have numbers that are just not humanly possible to achieve.. either you're doing something baddddddd (which you aren't), or there is something wrong with the controller. Either way, you may feel you're playing normally, but your controller is providing you an advantage that you may or may not feel is actually an advantage... but the numbers don't lie. I've played this game the way I've played golf games my whole life with 3 different stock controllers, so that's a bit strange if the standard DS4 controller is that often released with defects which provide an advantage in this game.

Thanks. Looks like it was a too straight issue from the reply I got. Kind of a weird thing to work on but I guess I need to free the swing up a little bit. Hi Tyler. I just watched a bit of your Twitch stream from your win on TST, and I can see why this pad is getting flagged up... It's night and day from what most of us can achieve with any consistency, particularly when lofting shots. I liken this to what happened to me at the start of TGC2019 - I've always been able to swing the club pretty straight, but before we got going with the season I was advised that my pad was going to cause problems. The game just seemed to be like shelling peas it was so easy, and looking back, I can see why that was. For me, it was an old pad that I used from TGC2 that must've had some sort of wear in over the years. Seems like those issues can exist in new pads too, which sucks. As a comparison, how much easier do you find it to play the game, hit the lofted shots etc with the new pad As Bob mentioned, best thing is to work on it with the admin team, play a bit of Euro with a different pad or something and get some feedback, but good luck with trying to swing worse, unless you're rebuilding your swing, then it is what it is!! Unless that pad loosens up considerably, I'd be surprised if it doesn't land you in trouble again if you continue to go all out for wins Appreciate the open dialogue from you guys that are obviously not short swingers. There's a video from a 54 I shot at Augusta last year in a practice round with a different controller completely. I can see the difference a bit in the lines from my TST rounds. Mainly that I occasionally have a bit of variance to the left on my backswing that I don't have now. But really any shot I was locked in on with an approach was usually dead straight like they are now. Definitely a weird spot for me. I'll probably try to loosen up the stick a bit. It also sounds like putting was as big an issue for me as swinging. Which I do have a very very short line on putts, I'm guessing most do? I decelerate really bad on putts which causes the short, straight lines. That's something I want to fix anyways because I don't like my putt speeds right now so maybe getting a faster tempo on those will make my line longer and have more variation.

This happened to me a few years back on TGC 2. Had been using the same controller that came with my PS4 for too long and wore a groove into my swing path that made it impossible to make a bad swing even on purpose. Sounds like it's time for a new controller.

R2 in at -15... should’ve been -16 after failing to capitalise on a huge stroke of luck up 17... easy birdie putt and pulled its neck out and lipped out 😟 Had a massive Barney with the Mrs due to the waking child while playing 15, which didn’t help matters... so I think I’ll call it a night. Couple of misjudgements, but pretty decent for me to be -35 thru 2. Okay Fadge. I gave you a number to shoot for at -66 so good luck 👍

Choked away a chance of being ps4 clubhouse leader with bad tempo last 3 holes. Good shooting unclevirt

I'll give it my best shot, but I've a funny feeling that I'm not going to get past that... Had a weird night last night where I managed to get it round in TST R2, but had to pack in after 7 in R3 as I couldn't hit a shot straight. Putts were so wildly random, that it was just a waste of time on 187s. Really weird.

Badda bum, bum, bum... Another first timer ZZ Zoinks! Why do you make a sad face emoji when you seemingly seem enthused to post about someone failing api? Is it a sarcastic sad face emoji? Or is it disingenuous.

Or is it disingenuous. I'm not enthused about it James, so you should probably stop trying to intimate that I am... Never enthused to see a first time pull, and I think most would beleive me when I say that, so why you think there is another meaning to my posts is a little baffling. I thought you might understand how the service has evolved to work by now: - First time pull - General public are made aware, and some tenuous link is made to who these people may or may not be - I generally (there may be a few exceptions), and genuinely, prefer to see people sort out the issue.
- Second time pull - Dependent on the frequency of the events, the dialogue that may or may not have gone on... A more obvious hint at who this is will be accompanied by a crap joke, or a song or something equally terrible.
- 3 and up - I can no longer be bothered to cover up and make it pretty obvious who the unlucky folk are.
Don't believe it is any more complicated than that.

Yes I was two weeks ago, same scenario first pull in 5 years, stock DS4 controller, no short swing or other dodgy stuff. The reason being that my approach shots all had near to the same accuracy value, which in other words means too straight I guess. So I bought a new stock DS4 controller which I'm using now and hopefully should be fine, I did a test round which looked OK according to the admin. Tempo is quite different on the new controller for some reason but I'm starting to get used to it, not going to make the cut this week for sure. Well that is two tagged for the first time. I'm sure I'm next somewhere down the line. 14 people have broken their duck this year Ron, so just watch out

So what's our cutline going to be this week? I had one bad swing that cost me - almost put it in the ocean (10th hole) that was 75 yards out of play on a 145-yard approach shot (max glitched VF downswing). Couldn't get up/down from plugged beach lie. Will be disappointed if I don't make cut as I was putting really well despite not being around the hole much. Sitting at 26-under after a 57 61 start...hoping to clear that little X I got last week.

Well I'm normally pretty good at missing by one shot.........and I'm right there with you at -26, so don't hold your breath at getting rid of the kiss.......

The scores will fall off a little in the second round but there's a lot of people that haven't played yet...
